Repivot a platform escape arbor

This is a new technique to me, but so far it's been flawless every time. The carbide drill is 0.2mm, and I choose to file the pivot to size rather than use the lathe. This is just personal preference, it can be done either way.

Great work and really loved your camera work on this. I made a video on how to use the Jacot tool and all of a sudden the price of them went up. This little device is much better and I have one and use it often.

Hi. I have a couple of vintage drilling lathes like yours, but i cannot find any drilling bit to fit (shank too big). Can you tell your drilling bits shank size?
