I got one of the 10'6" Guide Select Pro's for Christmas and it's wonderful. I've been trying to find a replacement for my 1st generation Guide Select that was stolen a while ago and I finally succeeded.
Good overview of the rods. I have a couple Okuma twitching rods that I like. I will be looking for new downrigger rods in a few months and have been wondering what rods to look at. Sounds like the Guide Select Classic is the series I want, thanks.
I’m thinking about getting the sst rod. How do I know if it’s the upgraded or old version? And is it only upgraded on the carbon grip or cork grip also?

I have 2 10'6" also. And 3 9'9" GSP as well. I feel i only need those 2 sizes. You may want to look at the 9'9".
