Great presentation
Fantastic performance! Thanks for uploading Abhishek! 🙏
I guess I am one of the many who have had the good fortune to study with both AAKhansahib and AKhansahib. I never stop absorbing their greatness but never get enough to stick either.
Ken Wells Hi Ken,

thank you so much for this gem!
Hats off to all the three geniuses here....Ustad Aliakbar Khan saheb, the swarsamrat in full felicity and the mind-blowing genius of the young Ustad Zakir Hussain. Zakir ji's accompaniment stands out, no wonder he has been one of the most revered maestros since early 1980's.
Indeed a marvellous performance by the trio!
But gone are the days when real tanpuraas used to be used as drone for a sitar/sarod performance. 😔
Don't you think, Dr. Hazra?
@@chhayanat1 Top grade artistes (puritans) will still use real tanpuras. Its an absolute must for any decent Indian classical music rendition. Yes there are electronic tanpuras. But they are useless. In recent times Ken Zuckerman patented a wonderful semi automatic-semi manual tanpura which has a wonderful timbre and produces great quality sound.
@@Prof_Hazra_IIT True! But I have rarely come across such musicians, especially sitar and sarod players. Most instrumentalists will resort to electronic tanpura, very rarely an acoustic ‘tanpuri', but not larger, full size tanpuras.
And yes, Ken ji's automatic tanpura is amazing! He's named it ‘Shanti’.
so so beautifull .thanks a lot for share that Sir,very impressive !
Great. Thanks a lot Abhishekji for sharing.
hats off 😃
