Makes you proud to see a world class fisherman having a ball on the banks of the Derwent. A river that has gone from being toxic to now having regular whale sightings. Love your style Lubin and I’ll see you on the weekend 🤙 Grant
Many thanks mate, really appreciate the comments. I’ve enjoyed that style of fishing since I was a kid and still have as much fun now! Cheers for watching
i fish this exact spot everyday after work and have pulled some very nice bream and really good models of sea running trout, i think i better have a dab before work by the looks of that
I have fished Bedlam Walls a few times with no success, I will try employing some of your techniques next time. One thing I always notice with right hand retrievers is the constant changing of hands and manual flicking of the bail arm, I taught myself at a young age to left hand retrieve and what a difference after a long days fishing, half the movements required. Great vid, enjoy your content, cheers
Hopefully you can land one next time! I wind left hand on all my fly fishing reels but find right hand more comfortable conventional fishing. Thanks for watching the channel!
Not a silly question mate. I probably wouldn’t just because they are such a long lived fish and the Derwent has also had its troubles with pollution but is getting way better now 👍🏻
Gday mate, heading up to Tassie next year around jan-feb, I’ve never done much fishing in tassie, is this salt or fresh? And what will I catch around that time? Love the content mate and keep up the gr3at work!
Im up in central australia at the moment the only fish here you can catch is spangled grunters. but im hoping to go down to my grand perants place in teatree gully in easter and go fishing with my pop. i have all this new gear i want try while im down there to. also do you know of any good fresh water spots around there? also i like your voice its kinda calming :)
@@thefullscale-fishingadvent2917 thanks lubin. if im using a bait caster at south para or warren reservoir and im chasing callop or small cod what lures do you recommend and how heavy should my braid and leader be?
Hey I’m just starting to get into bream fishing I live just around the road from where this was filmed do u have any tips with tides and lures as I’ve had no luck yet thank you
Love your work Lubin. It's always great to see how you're constantly analysing the conditions and the water you are fishing when the bite is tough. Great video once again. 👏👏👏 p.s will you be returning to Port Pirie any time soon to target those blue nose brutes?
Many thanks for watching mate! Always good to be thinking while fishing I reckon. Not sure when I’ll be back to Pirie, the bream fishing down here in tassie is pretty damn good!
This might be a really stupid question but how do you avoid getting snagged? I’ve been to that exact spot a few times now and haven’t caught a bream yet but I’ve got plenty of snags. Great video btw!
Not a stupid question at all mate! I try to always stay in contact with the plastic as much as possible and use a high rod angle when it’s shallow, always use the lightest jig head I can get away with, make sure you practice the “flick trick” which will unsnag the lure 8 out of 10 times, try to fish with a light touch - bream bites are unmistakable so don’t set the hook unless you know it’s something striking for, and try tying an FG knot for the leader which won’t break nearly as often as any other leader knot. I still get snagged from time to time and loose the odd lure but hopefully these tips help you out. Thanks for watching the channel 👍🏻
Great Vlog. Ate , enjoyed watching it 👌👍
Thanks for actually showing what lure size and gear you use. Everyone else misses this info but it’s pretty much the one thing we need.

Great video champion,
Thanks mate much appreciated!
Sweet video dude!!! Brought back memories of when I was fishing the Derwent. Thanks Lubin! 🎣🙏
Many thanks Alex, such a cool accessible fishery down here!
It's unreal! So surprised at the quantity of fishos there. Did not bump into any other land based or kayak fishos.
Yeah same. I’ve just been on a week long mission up the east coast and didn’t see any one else throwing lures 🤷♂️
Living in luxury. 🎣😂
Awesome video as always.
Many thanks mate!

Thanks for watching mate! I should’ve been looking closer 😅 at least you’ve got a great view from the office!
Solid fish mate! And such a beautiful colour can not wait until I fish that river. Good job 🤙

I have been using 2.5" grubz in midnight oil they smash them
Silly question, would you keep and eat a bream out of there?

Zman grubs are the go, and as long as you have tide movement you will be right 👍🏻
