    Nice Skipjack.
You should try and get a Rooster fish. They are by far my fav in terms of pound for pound fighting fish in Costa Rica

Both those fish look cool. That skinny sailfish looking one though is sick

Cool footage from an undercover part of the world.
5:00 get your hand off your spool, no? I don't understand what that's doing after you get adjusted. Set your drag and fight the fish. Take if from the man.

Thanks! I like to feather the reel, especially with light line and leader. You can run a looser drag and palm for instant tension. In this case I just needed to shake off the rust! My first fish since last fall. He was in control not me.

You lost me at dunking your reel in the salt water and not knowing what a false albacore is. Shitty fisherman.

lol thanks man. That’s a Skipjack tho, a bit different than False Albacore. First one I ever saw in my life! It’s fun not knowing what fish you caught like that “Bearded Brotula” you thought might be a Hake. As for reels getting dunked it’s part of shore fishing. That’s why reel manufacturers make the best reels sealed. Not that reel tho… that thing was junk. Anyway I just subscribed to your channel Bryant, I’m your very first subscriber! Can’t wait to see your first video. If you ever visit the PNW you can catch a bunch of fish here and being from Colorado you’ll have no idea what half of them are called.

@@andrew_forin Well said. Probably see him casting with a flasher and trying to cut off a birds nest while his back is turned to the ocean. LOL!
