- Eric catches up with Zeke Menacho from Work Tuff Gear, who talks shop and shares some info on the 'Little Evil' fixed blade design that he's been working on. Tasked with designing a fighting knife, he named the Little Evil after his favorite UFC fighter. With a handle designed from the ground up for extended use, and paired with a full tang M2 steel blade, you'll find the 7 inch and 5.75 inch cutting edge variants ready to get scrappy!

Work Guff Gear rocks!!!
Hell yeah bro!
Badass,
It is interesting that throughout history the most successful "fighting" knives have simple, ergonomic handles. The tanto, bowie, khukuri and dirk come to mind. However, these days the wheel always has to be reinvented by someone to theoretically make it better. It is a cool design and at least the grip doesn't look too busy with "three position grip y'all!" and other such nonsense.
Well that's all fine and good, but those knives become iconic historically because they are government contracts in times of conflict.
That doesn't mean they are all that great, it means that they were the best bang for the buck... The government cuts every corner possible to save a nickel. Effective, yes... awesome, no.
@@jonspencer7004 all the knives I mentioned were made for a long time and in greater numbers than any government contract. The bowie hasn't ever been a government contract and neither has the dirk.
@@turtlewolfpack6061 the bowie isn't s good example... though you're right in some regards. However the overall principal is that simple and affordable may mean popular...doesn't necessarily mean better.
I mean, it may be exactly that in a lot cases, but it sure isn't a hard rule by any stretch
Smatchet
Nobody is reinventing the wheel…I’m just designing the knife I’d want for the job. Your point is relevant but only in the sense that the most successful are generally the cheapest knives out for contract that can still pass minimum standard qualifications.
The Bowie you mention was light years ahead of the Hudson Bay and Classic Swedish style woods knives it replaced. So while the wheel isn’t being reinvented it’s always going to be refined as anything should be.
I appreciate the insight.
Well Zeke, it appears I have something with your name on it. The 7" Little Evil, taking it out V soon and of course stuff of yours too E.
Release date????
Are you planning any knives made from unobtainium?
As soon as we can get our hands on it 😂
Whoa 🗡 🆒️
👍 #Brasil
Get rid of the forward lanyard hole.
Yup, weak point for sure
I've seen gimping become the failure point
