Prices in the UK have been very strong, but of late a noticeable decline, a good time to invest in what can only ever be an appreciating classic. I currently own a vintage volvo, rare in UK little more common across the pond.
I literally just bought a 73 450sl today in beautiful original condition that looks, runs and drives amazing. If i stated the price i paid for it people would literally call me a complete liar, although it is 100 percent the truth. I paid an amount of money that is about equal to what it would cost to fill up the gas tank on an average sized pick up truck. I lucked into it because the owner had lost his job like so many others have this year and he just simply could not afford it anymore. I still cannot believe he sold it to me for that price. Am going to clean it up and re-sell it to someone else who can own and enjoy it for many years to come. Wish i could have posted a pic of this car. Great video!
@@stevenwalsh5642 Honestly, i paid 250 dollars for it. Silver with a black top and its in much better condition than the car in the video. Runs and drives well, i just simply was at the right place at the right time and got very lucky. There is no way to post pics on here or i would be glad to do it
So you paid $250 to that poor guy for a car worth $12,000 because he had lost his job .He must have been so grateful he could sell it. You're a great person
If you have a big budget for restoration, and want it done exceptionally well, then Whitepost is for you. I have a similar 76 450sl that is electric blue with the hard top. 117k miles. I have the original wheels with caps but went with a 70's muscle car look w white letter tires and aluminum wheels. It runs good has a few minor non mechanical issues. It's for sale should you know of anyone else else. Located in ohio runs great $4800.00 asking.
6:36 I am looking for a Mercedes R107. Other than learning that the poster likes blue cars, there wasn't much meaningful information here. BTW the hardtop doesn't match the car not do the wheel covers. Entertainment rather than information

Just saw one today for sale at the Dealer, they ask for $13,900.00, 1975 SL450 V8 with 142K mileage. Not sure if it is worth that $$$.
