@@plantheartbeats Went to Dollar tree and got Gladiolus bulbs also got 6 planters of 3 in one with drainage trays ..What's even better is that they stack like a tower like them tower gardens have for planters .....
I picked up some of these great pots and other things for planting. A tip on the drainage holes: heat your screwdriver, awl or whatever you use to punch the holes and go slowly. I love their pots, but they can be the brittle plastic that breaks when you try to make the hole! A blow dryer would work to heat your tool.
Tami Harris~ Try the 99 cent store too, they have a lot and they do restock. Those shears she was showing at 11:18, well they work great. I bought the straight blade and still have it!
You have to go early. Like my dollar store starts putting this stuff out in January, and by March it's gone. I learned that watching DIY dollar store Christmas stuff. They stock for the next season or holiday like 2 or 3 months in advance. I finally got some plant stuff for the first time this year, and I got it the end of January when I went in for Valentines Day stuff.
Upscale home had beautiful geraniums in a large planter. She added quality looking fake geraniums so it looked fuller and perfect. She had them back just enough on the front porch that you couldn’t look closely and see a difference
The green trellis is great. It’s helping my large monstera and philodendron stay up. Cant beat that for $1 each and you’re right, they don’t stand out much.
Thank you for sharing!! I've been getting ALL of my plant/indoor garden supplies from Dollar Tree!! My FAV's are the little clay pots, large plastic pots, the oval metal "Fleur" pots which I use to keep my mini Orchids together, river rocks, glass bowls for terrariums or water plants, and I've even used the pitchers as planters!! But the pots with the draining spout, brick sketched pots and trollies are new, I definitely need those. And yes I do your top of using restaurant containers as propagation trays. But DT done saved $$$ for many of us plant people!! I wonder will they ever sell plants?🤔💖🥰🙏🏼🙏🏼
The plant cloche is a cover that helps extend growing seasons mostly for outdoor vegetable plants - one cloche to one or two seedlings for nights with frost or under 32 degrees F. The cloche is not usually for very cold snow or ice though - just for early Spring or later Fall as one would possibly use a cold frame.
💚 Love your ideas! 💚 I usually don't drill holes in the larger beautiful pots and just use them for catch or cover pots to hide those ugly nursery pots. You can't beat it for a $ !!
I bought three bags of the cut glass, one the color of root beer I placed in a couple old soda bottles I bought at a estate sale. I plan to place in window & catch the light.
Love the video! I bought a few of the items you showed, and saw alot I haven't seen around my area. I wanted to mention you could use those tomato cages for lilies, at least that's what I am planning. You also showed black, metal S hooks, those are awesome for hanging bird feeders. I also was able to pickup some metal, thin wire trellises that I am going to try to use as a fence/support for asiatic lilies I planted. thanks again for the video
With aluminum, because they do not drain water, what i do is, use 1/2 less water than what I usually will use.... so when you water remember to use-less.
I put smaller pots with holes inside the tin pots... those are more decorative to me and the hold the drainage. I just pour out the excess water. To prevent fungus gnats, pour boiling water over your potting soil and allow it to cool before using it for planting.
Video recommendation: thrift shopping!! (Good will, Salvation Army) for pots, baskets, propagation equipment, plant stands, &. Etc. I love thrifting!! Found lots of cheap nice pots 😊 love your channel & all your plants 🪴
I do the thrifting for plant pots and any garden decor. I do wash and sanitize them all. I love thrifting for these items especially. Great savings on them.
Those seed starting greenhouses are worthless. You’re right that you can just use the free takeout containers instead, and they’re even more sturdy than the flimsy dollar tree containers. You don’t need to keep the top on it after the seeds have sprouted, that’s just to seal in heat to get the seeds to germinate faster. 💚 Last year the little trays that go inside were included, where you can sow 6 individual seedlings, but this year they didn’t include them. Very disappointed in DT this year. Last years garden section was better. I skipped on their gardening products this year.
Im new to this. I want to start a flower garden on a budget with my 6yr old daughter any pointers on stuff to get started with from the dollar store n is there flowers that are harder to plant than others? Sorry alot of questions lol thank you your plants look so pretty
Hey! I actually don’t have a lot if experience yet planting flowers from seed! I do what to learn though. My experience is more in taking care of indoor houseplants. Thanks for watching!
Zinnias are so easy to grow, have multiple colors, and will bloom all summer if you deadhead them. Maybe incorporate cherry tomatoes, pickling cucumbers, and pole beans for veggies. Look up mammoth sunflower playhouses. So cute! You can do polebean teepees too.
I actually don’t know....the sun would make it too hot during the summer sunny days. Maybe would be good only for cool nights to give it some protection from the frost.
Seams like Dollar Tree gets seasonal ítems...the garden things started in January so it’s important to check very early In the year before they run out. 👍💚
Hey! Hope your find something your looking for at dollar tree! The plant I placed the lady bug is a Philodendron Bipennifolium or Horse head philodendron.😊
OMG 😱 plant heartbeats.....I REALLY want a few of those Bell gloches please I'm New to this but that's a steal for a dollar... can't find them here in Miami no where 😳.... please can I cash app you to grab me a few please 🥺...let me know ok?!🥺
I checked Amazon for you. They have them, but they cost much more. Maybe some dollar stores will get them in. Did you call any garden centers to see if the have them? If you do, ask for a “klosh” not kloshay. Truthfully You don’t need a cloche for most plants, especially in a humid climate like yours. I have been growing plants for 50 plus years and never needed one. They are good for certain difficult to grow orchids but not for most. Good luck!
Hey so sorry for my late reply… but I can’t… it’s will be crazy if I have to send everything you guys asked me to send you… so sorry… I wish I can do it to help you out… I don’t have time for everything… so sorry 😞
Now they have the real wax ones, very tiny but they have them. terrocata, terricata?. yeah those. I was there today and they are 2 for a buck I bought 20
I have never been to $ store for a long time, I'll visit asap...quick q's - you are doing a video for their products...do you guys have to take permission from the owner or what...please let me know...T Y...in advance...
I’m sorry yours didn’t find the items you were lookin for...seams like Dollar Tree started selling their gardening items in January so by now they might have very low stock. 💚
Unfortunately the store was already disorganized in some areas before I arrived. I personally also love to shop in a clean store therefore I put items back where I got them from. I believe that’s the proper thing to do. 🪴👍
I love going to Dollar a Tree. Now that I’m a plant parent I find some great deals by shopping at DT especially those water dishes.
I've used the color sand and stones with my plants and had no issues. I wash them first.
Good idea to wash first!
I love dollar tree
😍
Your Dollar Tree has way more then mine. Gotta start checking at other stores when out and about.
Same here. Ours never has half the goods.
I have had the dollar tree clippers for over a year and they are still fine!I’ll get more for sure. Nice tour! Love it .thank you.
Oh cool! Good to know! I need to buy some! Thanks for your support!💚🪴
I adore all of your decorated pots you have at your home. Very pretty!!!!
Thanks!

Thanks Lucy! 😊😊😊
At 11:18~ I’ve tried those blue straight shears and they work great! 🐝🌱🐝

Thanks for clarifying how to make the drainage holes in the planters.

Thanks for the great suggestion! 💚🪴
I turn on a stove burner and lay the tip of the screwdriver on it.
I also use a soldering iron to puncture thru plastic pots for drainage.
👍😊
My store never looks this full and good. :-( Would love to find those things here.. maybe one day.

This is in Greenville North Carolina! 😊
Look for their website for this info. US Cities often have them, or Dollar General.
I LOVE the 2-packs of the terra cotta pots! I have sooooo many 🙈
I put smaller pots with holes inside the tin pots... those are more decorative to me and the hold the drainage. I just pour out the excess water.
