As someone who attended religious school (not catholic tho), being an “outsider” really isolates yourself from others. I felt unwanted and often got bullied there. I really prefer going to public schools instead.
I had a theory that the mother had already killed herself in the tub. The intro starts it in a tub and the player can barely move until a package arrives. This could be her subconscious thinking that she is still alive and that her experience in the abandoned house was her purgatory
I'm almost a 100% positive that's what's happening here. I've also never seen the "buried alive" ending just the one where you go up some stairs and into a white light which is definitely representing that she made it to the afterlife for completing her purgatory.
Ah yes, having to pick up your kid as the equivalent of the "I have to go to school" thought when you remember you are a working 30-year old adult, and it's a Sunday.
Not gonna lie, this backstory to the game is one that pisses me off so much. Instead of just accepting that her daughter is who she is...she sends her off to a strict Christian school where she got bullied, harrassed, and abused to the point where she took herself out of this world. That's disgusting, I would never do that to my own daughter. On top of that, why does she wait so long to go get her daughter...the building is abandoned like wth.
She was going through a mental breakdown when she arrived in the game. Her child had to have been long since buried but the guilt made her go back to mentally and spiritually punish herself.
It seems to me like the 'Saint Lucy' is actually the real mother, the school is a manifestation of her own mind and her rationalisation that a demon killed her child, There was really no school, the mother disassociated herself to 'punish her daughter for not believing', She was the mother that punished her daughter, locked her own kid in a room until she soiled herself and punished her for it, drove her own child to suicide in a attempt to force her to believe in god. You can see this kind of clearly in the notes. "She doesent treat me like the other kids" likely references her mother treating other, god fearing kids very well, while she constantly tortured her own daughter. The other notes are very self explanatory. To cope with this the mother made her own world, her own story. One where there was a school was to blame and not her, where a killer saint was responsible, a bad 'mother' of the religious sense, instead of the mother of parental sense. Her being called to the school is her having a psychotic break, being constantly followed and tormented by her own psyche (the Saint) while she starts coming to terms with what she actually did (finding the notes and evidence of what happened at the 'school'), getting killed by the saint is her mind simply breaking, unable to stand what happened and the guilt of what she did, finishing the game and destroying the saint is setting herself free of the lies and guilt and accepting what she did, the demon lashing out, her own anger and self (lighting the saint on fire) finally after everything and being faced with the undeniable proof of her actions, she is 'buried'. A litteral metaphor for burying herself and her guilt, unable to truely accept it and choosing instead to fully deny it, the screen going black and game ending is her unable to live with it, so taking the same action as she forced her daughter to do, the mother takes her own life. Fully burying and destroying her sins. Her idea of 'repenting' while taking her own life to end the guilt she feels.
The mother's note confirms this theory: "I can give her this discipline, but not as her mother." "If I can't save her as her mother, then her mother will have to leave. The Sister will have to guide her. This home will be her school. This woman will be her teacher." She feels guilty for punishing her daughter, so she creates the Mother Apollonia persona and pretends the home is the school. That's why the clown doll is still in the daughter's room.
@@cur1yh_3ad I know that they're the general titles given, but the name of the nun could be the mother subconsciously associating herself with the nun, as even though she wants to escape from the fact that she drove her daughter to her death, she still knows it is her fault/ blames herself partially for the daughter's death
@@cur1yh_3ad but mother Appolonia is mainly the one punishing the daughter and if the nun is fake then the mother might of made up the nun so she can blame mother appolonia
I remember watching this long before I became a mother, it was heart breaking then; but now revisiting this with my daughter sleeping in the next room I just can't fathom or put to words how terrible this truly is. And the fact that it really happens in the name of "faith" as twisted as it can be is horrifying..
@@hunitmusic3427 while I don't know if there's any singular story someone could point to as a direct reference; I can say both from my own experience and far too many others that it's not uncommon for people to twist faith as a way to get and exert power over others. Gay children being cast out by their families for their "sin" despite the bible literally telling them not to judge and to love even "sinners", people beaten for not being a perfect example of purity, being heavily abused, shunned, manipulated etc over their religious beliefs or lack thereof should you differ in any way to what so and so in the church says. There was a story recently on Reddit where a man brought a woman home to meet his family, they all loved her, but after getting engaged they found out they were pregnant and his entire family cut him off and shunned him for "living in sin". They didn't come to his wedding. Wanted nothing to do with him. They insisted he no longer have his wedding at the family church and he must get married out of town so people didn't find out. They were so worried about what others thought of them in the church that they didn't even care about losing him. Then months pass and his daughter is born. They immediately want contact again and are throwing a fit that he isn't letting them back into their lives. They proclaim that they're family but it didn't stop them from cutting him off when he didn't follow "their rules". Most of the comments speculated that this too was more of an image concern for them. That they were afraid of what the other church members thought of them when they would find out he was "living in sin" but then realized it looked bad to also be estranged from the son they once so dearly loved. How do you explain that away? Where are the wedding pictures? The baby pictures? Can't say he died because then where's the church funeral?? It was so sad and twisted all in the name of the lord but they failed to remember the actual teachings of their god instead following the image and PRAISE of looking like a believer My egg donor beat me ruthlessly while proclaiming she was a godly woman and I was a "sinful wh*re". I was 12. She also happily admitted to breaking several road/passenger safety laws to get more kids to church in one go "in the name of the lord". The hell?? But people praised her because they all wanted to fit a narrative of their own design. It was less about the religion itself than it was about the IMAGE of a religion That all being said there are sadly even more specific examples I could give. Conversation camps are still a relatively common thing even though they are MOSTLY illegal. Same goes for underground "boot camps" where parents send their unruly children to knowingly be beaten into submission in a military Esq environment. They don't care how it's done they just want the results of an obedient doll like child. No talking back, follow commands, and embody the "principles" the family wants. It's horrific and inhumane.
@@heavenlance7833 Yeah, to do all of this awful shit in the name of God while actively ignoring God's teachings really disgusts me as a christian myself. I hate those types of people.
Sending your children to a religious disiplinarian boarding school is a cowardly dereliction of responsibility to your child. Simply proves you are unfit to be a parent
@@Cushla-np4pt scaring your child into believing your belief, assuming that the child is young, is not at all in the right. i agree with the comment, and believe the mother is cowardly. “mother appolonia is efficient at torturing and breaking child in submission,” and in a comment our narrator said before, made it seem like the mother knew she was the culprit and in the wrong. if she really wanted her to believe, i believe she could have communicated with her, and slowly place god into their lives more often through little influential acts.
She can't bear to hurt her daughter so she just sends her away to be abused to the point of suicide while knowing full well that she's being sent there specifically to endure pain, social isolation and humiliation. Sounds like she still hurt her daughter to me, even if she wasn't the one directly doing everything. Jeez, I can't believe her! (Yes, I know she didn't expect her to kill herself, but it still happened, so it's listed) 'I can't stand to hurt my daughter, so I'm going to send her to this place so *they* can hurt her for me instead.' Jeeze! Frick, this is sad....
Well many camp are like that. Camp that used to convert gay people due to their sexuality. Even camp that convert people to follow certain religion because they are atheists or just simply follow a different religion. The story of Muslim people in China is an unfortunate example
I'm still very confused by the mom's decision to send Janie to boarding school. She made Janie sound like a monster but the diary entries say something else. Was her logic that torture = belief?
yup. Janies mother thought that inducing fear into her child and tormenting her would lead to submission and SOMEHOW help with making her believe in God
it happens more often than you could possibly imagine in real life. There is no hatred more palpable, more cruel, more downright evil than christian "love"
Btw in north Italy, Saint Lucy brings you sweets and gifts during the 13th of December. And yes, she has no eyes, so she always have a white veil over her face, and adults dress up as her to surprise he kids. I'm now seeing her from another perspective.
In Sweden we celebrate santa lucia and when we were in 2 grade we just thought she was a normal girl and stuff but I’m 8th grade we got very terrified and confused about her story we thought it was kids story but I guess it wasn’t
this happens in real life guys. I've been in a religious school and it was hell. I wasn't physically abused but I was bullied and hated by the teachers because I was a "troubled kid". I'm still scared of teachers because of it.
@@aikarin6280 Catholic. And I'm not in the U.S. where they're either a bunch of petty conservatives or soft hearted bible loving pansies. I'm in a third world country that doesn't separate the church from law. It's so bad that adults punish children for not believing in God or having emotions and problems as a sign that they don't pray enough. You don't know what it's like to be bullied and then treated as the bad guy by the teachers for standing up for yourself.
Ooh nun massacre... the game which gives you insomnia, nyctophobia, severe nightmares, depression, extreme severe anxiety (in some cases), and many more!! Its an all-in-one horror game!! I highly recommend this game if you are lifeless on the inside and are immune to fear!!! (Mental breakdown after finishing whole game)
the "good" ending it sounds like the clown doll says "YOU HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN" and the note that says "this home shall be her school" and in the house you see a CLOWN doll so she never really left the house
Puppet combo games are the only games that scare the living shit out of me. Stay out of the house being the most disturbing for me. Causing me to have nightmares of the game
I feel its the ps1 style graphics that make it truly scary, It feels outlandish and almost foreign like as if they're games that were long forgotten or unfinished ps1 games that were found fixed up with what they can find and given new life. Its that vibe that makes them truly scary
Religion, culture and traditions scare me sometimes especially if people become overly obsessive about it or twist those religion, cultural and traditional beliefs into such sadistic horrible things in order to justify their own twisted doings and the sad thing is it has happened in real life too. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against religious people as long as they don't us it to justify wrong doings. I used to go to a religious Kindergarten back when I used to live in Europe. We did prayers, thanked for everything, visited our local church very often which I actually enjoy since I love the architecture of churches and they told us religious stories too which I also liked. I don't believe in God or Hell and Heaven, but I am very much fascinated by their stories and now that I'm older I research more about it and I am having a lot of fun with it.
I remember when I was a kid, my mom and I would go to church together but my dad never went. When I asked him, he told me straight up: I don't believe in organized religion. It's been used to control people and makes people intolerant. I don't want any part of it. He believes in a higher power, just not sure what. When he told me that, it was like I had finally found a way to explain how I felt. I saw people using their religion as an excuse to be mean to others and I didn't want any part of it, but I believe in a higher power, though I think their involvement is minimal at best.
Then how do you justify morality? Who says what is morally wrong and what is morally right? Is morality ultimately subjective or not? If it is subjective then ANYONE can justify their own actions, no matter how twisted it might be. If it is objective, then the next question to answer is, where does it come from? It definitely didn't come from us because if it does, everyone can make their own morality turning it into subjective.
It would not be right to generalize all of them are like this. It does happen, of course, but it's usually about the people handling it who are the root cause.
@@cain_69th Lol, IKR? But try convincing them that the majority of modern "Satanists" are, in fact, atheists and don't even believe in Satan. It's harder than the mess I have on my hands that is fighting vaccine and COVID misinformation.

I have a theory and it's kinda sad. The nun you face is actually saint Lucy being tortured for her sins against the kid. Now she has become demented and must seek out the mother who sent her to the school to finally attain peace. She also has kept the kid alive and is forcing her as much as she can to become a Christian. To the point dressing her up like a nun and keeping her in a cage. The mother finally evades the nun and reaches her child but is too dazed/shocked to realise that the kid nun is her daughter. The mother burns the daughter and saint Lucy gets banished as she failed to keep the kid alive, while the mother(unknowingly) burned her own child
Those are literally my exact thoughts about the little nun probably being her daughter. If the nun IS real and not McDONALD's imagination then there's a chance the little nun could be a child, probably hers
dude, nun massacre is literally the scariest puppet combo game ever made, mother Apollonia is the most terrifying killer in their catalogue and when I first saw her in game I actually got so scared to the point where I had to put aside the game for a few days.
Yes, good idea. Use fear to get your kid to believe in God. That's not gonna push her away or anything of the like. There's a reason why parents induces fear into their kids: to make them AVOID things!
Damn, as a Christian... It's not necessary to be mentally and physically treated badly to believe God, I understand that she wanted her soul to be saved but all we can do is pray and teach if they still don't accept then that's ok so please don't think that all Christian are like this
@Beamer Streamer well we just "tEaCh" from the Bible, and like I mentioned not all Christians are like that, if u don't want to believe don't. We care about people's soul, so we preach and if they don't wanna accept that's fine and the idea of shoving... I've never experienced that nor did my friends. My friend wasn't a Christian she was Hindu and she started to like Christianity more and no one forced or did anything to her, she chose it and her family is against it but she doesn't care. That's love for God. Maybe if the world had Love for God in their hearts there won't be evil, but that's not possible bcs Satan will never let that happen
There’s a game called Don’t Open Your Eyes. It’s a really cool game with a cool concept and a lot of multiple endings . Will you please make a video of it?? I think you might like it and your voice is so soothing and so fun to listen to. I love your accent. Keep up the good work dude!! I binge watch your videos and they make me happy when I’m having a shit day. 😊
If i remember correctly Apollyon (or something like that) it's the name of a really evil and powerful demon. So Mother Apollonia sounds like a really fitting name for her.
Story theory: The mom made her to go to a catholic school to "discipline" her. Janie went and got abused to the point where she unalived herself. The mom heard about it and got depressed, ended up drowning in the tub (beginning of game) when spirit Janie knew her mom was dead, she made her go to the school, and disguised as a nun trying to unalive her to get revenge. She also places her diary passages so her mom knows what actually happened to her.
The plot of Nun Massacre is just Silent Hill 2, but instead of a husband repressing guilt over feeling/being responsible for the death of his wife, it's a mother repressing guilt over feeling/being responsible for the death of her daughter. Also, the nun in this game is equivalent to pyramid head. Lol.
If that Lucy psycho was a Saint, and that convent was what her Martyrdom was all about, then the Romans clearly had a reason to get rid of her in their lifetime. Theory, this Game is Pro-Roman Messaging.
I was at a 'religious' school, frick that crap. My school was consider a soft one, but even then you are bullied if you aren't like the rest. You get bullied by both side, nobody helps you. Ironically, when I change to a smaller school, which was supposed to be full of 'bad people', I was treated a billion times better. It's better to go to a non religious school (or just a school with freedom of every belief, but doesn't claim to support one over others), than go to a specific religious school
I'm a catholic, before we got confirmation we had to pick a Saint to represent us and I picked Lucy. If I'm not mistaken the story goes where a rich dude wanted to Mary Lucy but she wanted to be a virgin. Lucy's mother was sick and Lucy went somewhere (idk where) to pray She rejects the dude and he starts torturing her but God was there to protect her until finally the torturing stopped The dude said he liked Lucy's eyes so she had them ripped out and gave it to the dude
I actually know one of the guys who helped make this game. It was a lot of fun playing it during class and getting everyone’s reactions including the teacher’s
The Christmas and Nun Massacre games are tied, the place where the party was held in Christmas Massacre was also in Nun Massacre, plus in Christmas Massacre you could kill the nun, it was pretty obvious in the first place
I have a theory about the game: Ms. McDonald already comitted suicide, cutting her veins in the bathroom (this is why the game starts here) and the Boarding School is actually a purgatory where she was sent (the letter is not imaginary, it's her invitation to the Purgatory) to be punished by Punisher for horrible crime she did with her daughter. Driving a person to suicide is a serious sin in Christianity. And if you have driven a child to suicide, then according to the canons, you can be sent to Purgatory, where you will pass the test. If you pass it, you will be forgiven and sent to Heaven. If not, then your soul will forever be tortured in Hell. The Punisher is the embodiment of your greatest fears and torments. The Punisher here is no one else than the mix of Saint Lucy, whose eyes were gouged out by Romans, the Guardian of martyrs, and Jane McDonald, the martyr herself, who did not calm down after death and became a vengeful spirit who wants to punish her mother for dooming her to a painful death. After we complete all the tests and prove to the Punisher that we repent for our sin and that we have withstood our punishment, Jane and Saint Lucy forgive us, and the stairs leading up take the mother's soul to Heaven.
I always thought that the blocked road was the hint for the story conclusion, something like a bad ending in Silent Hill. Remember? Harry Mason was driving on the mountain pass, when the ghost of Alessa (or Alyssa?) stumbled in front of his Jeep, he swerved to the right and went off road, crashing his car, and later waking up in the Silent Hill - covered in thick fog - with his daughter missing. In the bad ending (or the worst) it is revealed, that all things which had happened during the game, were the manifestations of Harry's dying mind, while he was unconscious in his car after the crash. And I thought it would work here. Blocked road and everything that happened after were just the manifestation of the player's character dying mind, because she actually had a crash while driving on that dangerous and narrow road, during the storm. Everything that had happened, the nun, the letters, the ghost of a child, were just a manifestation of her guilt for every sin.
I doubt Sister Apol was there to specifically torment Janie because Mcdonnel ordered it. You can find a note in one of the classrooms from Janie where she talked about how Apol came into her room and well, I won't say but she did some nasty stuff involving SA which ended up Janie being unable to walk for a while.
Yeah the MC being responsible for all of this is a monster, just because ur kid doesn’t believe in god as u do doesn’t mean they r bad. She is a terrible mother
This game hits close to home for me My mother is a religious zealot who would put her religion before her family. She shoves religion down our throats and expects us to follow but ironically, she pushed me to the brink of not believing in God Funny enough, my father, who isn't a zealot, taught me the great ways of my faith and how to be a good follower of God. He doesn't force the religion down my throat but teaches me in a gentle and natural manner. He's the only person who helped me keep my Faith
I can relate. Except, it's kinda amplified. I live in a Muslim country and everyone gets religion shoved down their throats. It is mandatory for the school to teach Quran classes, religious studies, etc etc. I wish i could leave this country so i can go somewhere else where i don't get pushed into believing the religion. I also hope you are doing well. Since childhood, i have never truly believed in the religion. And the worst part is that i have to fake being a Muslim just so i don't get ridiculed, bullied, ostracized and worse.
@@MexhazzzzMay Allah guide you to the right path, try reading the Quran in your mother language so that you understand it better trust me your views will change ❤️ also if you don't believe in Islam then you're automatically a disbeliever
Its sad that some nuns actually do this IRL, If they actually read the Bible through and through, then they would know how messed up they really are towards the children. and God himself.
"Because her mother loves her, because God loves her." is the mother referring to herself as God? God is a being that is higher than any normal human, so maybe that's meant to show the unhealthy power dynamic she has over janie? Also mackdonal might have been narssistic if this is true lol
Places like these shouldn’t exist they abuse kids in the name god, it ruins gods name and it makes the kids only think of god or Christian’s as cruel demons
damn. reading all these comments about how some people had bad experiences with a religious school made me realize how lucky i was to go to a really chill one, considering it’s the oldest school in our area (built 1916) and had a great reputation as a prestigious institution catholics send their kids to (i live in a country that’s predominantly catholic). the nuns there were incredibly just chill as heck; some even ask us how we were doing in classes, some even give other students mcdonald’s (lol), and there was one nun who just brings her puppy everywhere and lets us play with it (we were already seniors by this time). it wasn’t incredibly perfect as a school with its rules and regulations, but it certainly is very liberal and isn’t strict, considering the amount of LGBTQIA+ teachers and students we had at school. the education is great too; i remember lots of instances where our teachers openly encourage us to form our own opinions on not just catholicisim but other religions too, and to recognize the flaws in each one. one of my best friends who was gay even stayed at the school way past dismissal time because he said he feels more accepted at school than in his house. i’m really thankful i went to a place where faith isn’t compromised by who you are and what you are, but is rather based on how you deal with other people and how you can embody the values of the religion you are in.
Hey man I love the video you make there so amazing and well done but I was curious do you also do scary movie recaps as well or do you only explain game plays??? Cause I was curious if you also explained scary movie I was wondering if you would wanna do a video on the stanford prison experiment it honestly feels like it up your alley but that all up to you man :) thanks for making a great video and can't wait for the next one!
I personally headcanon that Mother Apollonia was the re incarnation of Lucy Mrs McDonnell managed to manipulate her into thinking to harm the child, only to realize after the child's death that it was all a lie Combining the child's vengeful soul and her sheer rage they chased after Mrs McDonnell In the good ending, the child soul is burst into flames and Mother Apollinia can't do anything about it
I feel bad for the daughter because that nun Mother Apollona isn't right in her brain and the kids should've helped the daughter away from Mother Apollona it makes me think of that anime The Promise Land the nuns are insane also,
I attended a Catholic school and since I'm a Catholic myself, I was never called an outsider, and neither was my Muslim friend. It's sad to think that people bully others because of their religion. Reality sucks.
I'm actually gonna have to go against the public opinion here and say the mother wasn't An Awful And Irredeemable Villain. Unfortunately, reaching this conclusion requires some context. Sources: was raised Catholic by two previous generations of cradle Catholics and one relatively recent convert (who was also a theologian and talked shop A LOT), 12+ years of Catholic education, many many personal accounts of old-style Catholicism gathered from a LOT of interview projects and the like. Based on what we can see of the architecture and decor of the school, as well as the lessons the daughter writes about and the mother's general attitudes about childrearing, I'm gonna assume that the daughter was sent to boarding school ?? sometime in the 50s-early 60s??, before the Second Vatican Council was widely accepted. (For those not aware, Vatican II was basically the first significant update to Catholic teachings in about a thousand years. It changed a bunch of stuff about how Catholicism is structured and conducted, as well as- most notably for our purposes- a lot of the culture vis-a-vis religious education). At that time, it was basically a moral obligation to send your kids to Catholic school. Religious schools at the time were known to be fairly strict, with most using some form of corporal punishment (the most common being struck on the hand with a ruler) to discipline students. This was widely seen at the time as harsh but fair, because we didn't really understand child psychology yet. If your child was consistently misbehaving, they may have been seen as in very real spiritual danger and it would have been not unreasonable to send them to a boarding school, where they would receive more structure and be more immersed in Good Religious Influences. Religious boarding schools at the time would have been pretty sparse with the details they shared with the parents, partially because it was just kind of assumed that they didn't care that much. This meant that some very abusive schools could (and, as we've found out only recently, did!) get away with a lot. This is not to mention that nuns in the various teaching orders didn't really have to go through much training or vetting to teach at a religious school- my dad had one math teacher who spoke nearly no English (that was in the 80s-ish). So, you're a Catholic mother circa 1960, you sent your child to a boarding school that was supposed to Actually Save Her Immortal Soul, and you've just found out that your child was driven to suicide by abuse at the hands of the teachers and other students. Where do you go? Probably straight to Confession, where you would receive no comfort. Despair was, at the time, the greatest sin because it meant that you believed that you were in trouble that God didn't have the ability to save you from. If the daughter was over the age of seven, she would be considered fully responsible for her own death, and you as the mother would likely be chided for feeling any sort of psychological distress over her death. TL:DR: The mother from Nun Massacre made some very bad choices, but I don't personally believe that she was 100% at fault for all of them. She was a well-meaning and desperate mother, driven into a corner by bad theology only years from being changed completely, as well as the bad actions of the people around her.
I wonder if Larry (The killer you play as in Christmas Massacre) was from this school as well because the layout looks similar. Maybe Larry and the Nun had history?
Let me explain yes Larry is the one who kills all the people in the boarding catholic school basically severely wounding nun apollonia Aka the killer nun in the game clear with me if you get doubts
I had a great time going to an Islamic boarding school during middle school, we are one huge family there and we can go home every Sunday. There's the usual bullies there but with how close each other are, the bullies usually get bullied instead by everyone. Honestly, I was expecting the worst but overall it was fun.
I just got Nun Massacre on my PS4, it is the most scared i've EVER ben, not just from games, like, most scared i've ever been, that screaming made my head tingle.
When are Christians going to understand that an overly strict religious upbringing is far more likely to turn their children into atheists than Christians? I mean, if you were taught that God actually approves of a child being treated this way, would you want to worship Him? I sure wouldn't. Brand me a heretic if you like, but if God actually thinks this crap is okay, we'd be better off worshipping a giant marshmallow Peep or something. Sweet sugary, chewy goodness for all mankind!
Can you do a video on a game called silent dream?? It seems interesting, there's also a few other pixelated ones like the crooked man, mermaid swamp, paranoiac, and others I cant think of that would be cool to see you talk about but I know I'm asking a lot 😅😅
this game is so disturbing to me because all these girls are being (basically) tortured for the sake of “religion”. even though Catholics believe in good and all that, the school is just so messed up and cruel, and the children have no escape.
For the people complaining about religion and religious schools 1) it’s a game 2) rubbing poop and mocking people for peeing has nothing to do with religion or religious beliefs.
What makes this game so horrifying is there are plenty of heartless christians out there in real life that have this type of heinous mindset and beliefs, really gives you a reason to hate christianity
It seems like the mother's mind developed into a state of psychosis. Denying the fact that she was the one who sent her daughter down the road that would lead to her death until the end where she realizes what happened and buries herself as she cannot deal with what she did

You mean Catholic school not Christian.
She was going through a mental breakdown when she arrived in the game. Her child had to have been long since buried but the guilt made her go back to mentally and spiritually punish herself.
@Kraken I know. But they literally change the bible to fit in they're image not God's.
Late, But she never went to the school to get her daughter. She knew her daughter was already dead. It was all in her head.
@@leonardorubio1477 when lmao?
Also notice how all the other nuns are referred to as sisters while Mother Appolonia is the only one with the mother title
@@cultofcffee2378 thats just how most nun thing schools are
The mother's note confirms this theory: "I can give her this discipline, but not as her mother." "If I can't save her as her mother, then her mother will have to leave.
Was this based on a true story?
It was so sad and twisted all in the name of the lord but they failed to remember the actual teachings of their god instead following the image and PRAISE of looking like a believer
My egg donor beat me ruthlessly while proclaiming she was a godly woman and I was a "sinful wh*re". I was 12. She also happily admitted to breaking several road/passenger safety laws to get more kids to church in one go "in the name of the lord". The hell?? But people praised her because they all wanted to fit a narrative of their own design. It was less about the religion itself than it was about the IMAGE of a religion
That all being said there are sadly even more specific examples I could give.

I used to go to church just because our school forces us to sign a paper!

Now she has become demented and must seek out the mother who sent her to the school to finally attain peace. She also has kept the kid alive and is forcing her as much as she can to become a Christian. To the point dressing her up like a nun and keeping her in a cage. The mother burns the daughter and saint Lucy gets banished as she failed to keep the kid alive, while the mother(unknowingly) burned her own child

After we complete all the tests and prove to the Punisher that we repent for our sin and that we have withstood our punishment, Jane and Saint Lucy forgive us, and the stairs leading up take the mother's soul to Heaven.
when i was playing this i keep saying "Uh huh i aint having 'Nun' of that".

Yeah the MC being responsible for all of this is a monster, just because ur kid doesn’t believe in god as u do doesn’t mean they r bad. She is a terrible mother
Cory the shogun sent me. Great explanation.
Same
This game and Power Drill Massacre are the only puppet combo games I can’t watch
What bout stay outta the house
Every puppet combo game is just... Scary
Or the blood wash ahh it’s so creepy
This game hits close to home for me
My mother is a religious zealot who would put her religion before her family. She shoves religion down our throats and expects us to follow but ironically, she pushed me to the brink of not believing in God
Funny enough, my father, who isn't a zealot, taught me the great ways of my faith and how to be a good follower of God.
@@MexhazzzzI read your bio, you play all of the games I play too :D
@@NekoBear Islam is nonsense
Its sad that some nuns actually do this IRL, If they actually read the Bible through and through, then they would know how messed up they really are towards the children. and God himself.
And a tittle of the worst mother goes too...! 🎶🎵🥁🎵🎶
Mc donald
Mc donald had a kid I ya I ya yo
From her daughter Jamie
Damn didn't know Jamie would have such a deep voice
I had no idea this game even had lore
This was amazing
Of course it did all puppet combo games that are big have to have some!
"Because her mother loves her, because God loves her."
is the mother referring to herself as God? God is a being that is higher than any normal human, so maybe that's meant to show the unhealthy power dynamic she has over janie? Also mackdonal might have been narssistic if this is true lol
I'm I the only one who keeps hearing ms. Macdonalds!? Can't stop laughing and take the horror seriously lol
Places like these shouldn’t exist they abuse kids in the name god, it ruins gods name and it makes the kids only think of god or Christian’s as cruel demons
SAMURAI STAND UP!!!!
I love how fast the nun just keeps running after you then just keeps trying to stab you around.
this is easily the scariest (and hardest)puppet combo game
agreed christmas massacre is my favourite
not gonna lie, Nun massacre as a movie would be one scary movie
Puppet combo makes the creepiest horror games ever.
And the Best too
damn. reading all these comments about how some people had bad experiences with a religious school made me realize how lucky i was to go to a really chill one, considering it’s the oldest school in our area (built 1916) and had a great reputation as a prestigious institution catholics send their kids to (i live in a country that’s predominantly catholic). the nuns there were incredibly just chill as heck; some even ask us how we were doing in classes, some even give other students mcdonald’s (lol), and there was one nun who just brings her puppy everywhere and lets us play with it (we were already seniors by this time).
it wasn’t incredibly perfect as a school with its rules and regulations, but it certainly is very liberal and isn’t strict, considering the amount of LGBTQIA+ teachers and students we had at school. the education is great too; i remember lots of instances where our teachers openly encourage us to form our own opinions on not just catholicisim but other religions too, and to recognize the flaws in each one.
one of my best friends who was gay even stayed at the school way past dismissal time because he said he feels more accepted at school than in his house. i’m really thankful i went to a place where faith isn’t compromised by who you are and what you are, but is rather based on how you deal with other people and how you can embody the values of the religion you are in.
The PS 1 graphics and VHS effects on the screen made the game more creepy. I like it. And I don't wanna play it.
I personally headcanon that Mother Apollonia was the re incarnation of Lucy
Mrs McDonnell managed to manipulate her into thinking to harm the child, only to realize after the child's death that it was all a lie
Combining the child's vengeful soul and her sheer rage they chased after Mrs McDonnell
In the good ending, the child soul is burst into flames and Mother Apollinia can't do anything about it
I feel bad for the daughter because that nun Mother Apollona isn't right in her brain and the kids should've helped the daughter away from Mother Apollona it makes me think of that anime The Promise Land the nuns are insane also,
I attended a Catholic school and since I'm a Catholic myself, I was never called an outsider, and neither was my Muslim friend. It's sad to think that people bully others because of their religion. Reality sucks.
You can make some videos about rusty lake series.I'ts Have a very intriguing story and I love watch your storyes Explained
Keep your good work
Bye!
Babe wake up new GamerSault video
You have my attention .. here’s a new sub
This is a really cool video but I’ve always wondered what the light man in the vents was
I'm actually gonna have to go against the public opinion here and say the mother wasn't An Awful And Irredeemable Villain.
Let me explain yes Larry is the one who kills all the people in the boarding catholic school basically severely wounding nun apollonia
Aka the killer nun in the game clear with me if you get doubts
I had a great time going to an Islamic boarding school during middle school, we are one huge family there and we can go home every Sunday.
There's the usual bullies there but with how close each other are, the bullies usually get bullied instead by everyone.
Honestly, I was expecting the worst but overall it was fun.
Impressive that a child is able to write in Print text
Ok where is Pyramid head when you need him?
The Nun sees Chucky
Nun: Haha, How exactly are you going to kill me.
Chucky: There is no God.
The Nun dies.
I just got Nun Massacre on my PS4, it is the most scared i've EVER ben, not just from games, like, most scared i've ever been, that screaming made my head tingle.
Please do more Puppet Combo games! 🤩🥳🙂😁😃
I love the video! By any chance do you know what the intro song is? It sounds dope
Now this game is what they like to call ‘terrifying’
Can you do a video on a game called silent dream?? It seems interesting, there's also a few other pixelated ones like the crooked man, mermaid swamp, paranoiac, and others I cant think of that would be cool to see you talk about but I know I'm asking a lot 😅😅
this game is so disturbing to me because all these girls are being (basically) tortured for the sake of “religion”. even though Catholics believe in good and all that, the school is just so messed up and cruel, and the children have no escape.
Love your content keep up the great work
The background scarier then the actual game
For the people complaining about religion and religious schools 1) it’s a game 2) rubbing poop and mocking people for peeing has nothing to do with religion or religious beliefs.
Can you do more puppet combo lore please?!?!
This isn't anything against them but Puppet Combo should really consider seeing a therapist.
What makes this game so horrifying is there are plenty of heartless christians out there in real life that have this type of heinous mindset and beliefs, really gives you a reason to hate christianity
It seems like the mother's mind developed into a state of psychosis. Denying the fact that she was the one who sent her daughter down the road that would lead to her death until the end where she realizes what happened and buries herself as she cannot deal with what she did
I think the nun is saint lucy cuz the eyes on a plate and saint lucy is only attacking mrs macdonell because she caused the death of her daughter (by sending her to this place)
...holy...this game may have possibly the most heartbreaking and depressing backstory I've ever heard...
Great Video 😊
THANK YOU SO MUCH I JUST WATCHED IT AND I DIDNT UNDERSTAND IT THANK YOU!!!!!
Things that have to do with haunted Christianity that scares me more than clowns and dolls
Anyone else hearing black and yellow in the music
Does anyone know the background music at 1:17?
This game is deeper than I thought
I feel so Bad for Janie...She didn't deserve to go through all that...
Diary Entrees:
Diary Page #1
"Dear diary,
Mommy dropped me off at my new school. I'm going to miss my old friends. I brought Bongo with me though. We have a teacher named Sister Euphemia. She has an assistant named Sister Odelia. They're teaching us all about the Saints and what wonderful lives they lived.
Today we learned about Saint Lucy. Her eyes were put on a plate, and she became a martyr. That's a weird word Sister. Euphemia said that her love for God saved her from the evil Romans that tried to hurt her.
Sister Rose said that Mother Apollonia is gonna take care of us."
Diary Page #2
"Dear diary,
Mother Apollonia said I'm too old to play with dolls and wanted me to give up Bongo the Clown. I told her I threw him away but I hid him somewhere good so he could watch over me. I can't tell where for his safety I trusted him with something important
Diary Page #3
"Dear diary,
Mother Apollonia hates me. She pulled me out of class today, but I didn't do anything. I got the ruler 5 times. I hate it here. I can't make friends. Nobody else wants to talk to me.
I really don't believe in God. If God was real there wouldn't be so many bad people in the world. I miss mommy and my old friends. I want to go home to a normal school."
Diary Note #4
"Dear diary,
I need to pee really bad in class, but Mother Apollonia wouldn't listen. I couldn't hold it, so I tried to pee a little at my desk, but she found out. Everybody laughed at me. I had to clean it up and walk around in my underwear the rest of the day.
The other kids call me Pee Pants now. I'm never going to have friends. I'm trying to pray more. If Jesus is watching me but I feel so alone. I don't know what to write so that's the end for now."
Diary Note #5
"Sorry I didn't write in forever. Mother Apollonia found my diary and locked me in punishment. I didn't think I would ever get out. I found a new paper to write on. I want to go home. She doesn't treat the other kids this way."
Diary Note #6
"I was locked in punishment again. I screamed to let me go to the bathroom. I couldn't hold it in so I pooed on the floor. Mother Apollonia found out and I had to pick it up and rub it over me. She showed the other kids, and everybody laughed. I can't stop crying. I want to climb out the window. It's too high. I can hear her coming. She's looking for me. She's saying
"Where are you, Janie?"
Diary Note #7
"Mother Apollonia told me I'm not praying enough. This is the prayer I'm supposed to try:
The LORD is my light and my salvation, whom shall, I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid? Hide not thy face far from me: put not thy servant away in anger. Thou hast been my help. Leave me not, neither forsake me. O God of my salvation.
For He gives me the power to always see."
Diary Note #8
"I admitted I don't believe in Jesus in confession because Mother Apollonia told me it would be okay. But she's a liar. She pulled me into her office and made me take off my uniform. She hit me all over my body with the ruler. My skin is purple, and my hair is gone. I hurt but she shaves it off. I want to go home.
I hate her and I hate you Jesus. You're evil. If You were good, you wouldn't make me suffer. I'm sick and praying won't make it go away."
Diary Note #9
"Mother Apollonia came into my room last night and said she would cure me with the cross. She took off my pajamas and pushed it into where I pee. I screamed and she smacked me and keep pushing everything burns I can't walk"
Lock Note
"I got in trouble again today. I figured out how to open certain locked doors with a tool I found and a paperclip. If use the tool that looks like an L and turn the paper clip to the right direction, the lock will open. But Mother Apollonia caught me, and I got in big trouble. She threw the L down the sink and slapped..."
