really? she was an 8th grader, not even in high school yet, literally being a prostitute, and doing stuff a 20 year old who doesnt know what to do with her/his life, if she was in high school, maybe a freshman, it would still be a problem, but a bit less harsh since high schools usually do that, but in 8th grade, no, just no

I’m not saying the punishment should be minor because she definitely had no business doing that but I think it could’ve been taken care of some other way. Believe it or not, people will actually kill them selves for reasons like this. It’s sad but true. And personally, I’d find it very hard to forgive my mom if she did something like this. I think she does need a very good punishment to teach her a lesson but I wouldn’t consider this as an option.

As much as the 8th grader should be punished for doing things like this, this is the worst thing you can ever possibly do to a kid, because it's a moment not only that is going to scar this person for life but will not help them in the long run and will hurt their self esteem. I get a butt whooping for this, but putting this out there on the evening is even worse punishment. And it doesn't solve the true nature of the problem which is why she did it in the first place. And in my opinion the Mom shouldn't be surprised by this because there was behaviors that the little girl saw that letter to go down this path in the first place.

yeah i agree with you. kids don't just act like this for no reason. from my experiences i can gather that she's probably being groomed or exposed to something that's not appropriate for her age.
I have friends who have done shit like this and let's just say the apple dosent fall far from the tree. Parents are usually the ones messed up. A whopping won't do anything just make the kid want to rebel more. What she needs is a therapist or a possible intervention to make sure everything is alright at home/school.

That is sooooo not true. My mother made me go to choir rehearsal, bible study, church on sundays, I was an honor roll student in major work program and I still grew up to become a thief, became addicted to Xanax, in and out of jail, sold drugs, etc. I’ve made a complete turnaround now but none of the things I was doing in my young adulthood had anything to do with how my parents raised me. 🤷🏽♀️

The mother had stated in the video that this has happened before and had initially stripped away her phone but somehow the child got another phone so the initial punishment was less harsh. She had to learn somehow whether that be homeschooling or anything she had to be disciplined or would have ended up as a probable statistic.

God, my dad used to do something like this that reminded me of what this mom did to her kid. I used to be TERRIFIED of shots and I would cry whenever I would get a shot. Personally, I think she should’ve handled it in a different manner. I’m not saying the punishment should be minor because she definitely had no business doing that but I think it could’ve been taken care of some other way. Believe it or not, people will actually kill them selves for reasons like this. It’s sad but true. And personally, I’d find it very hard to forgive my mom if she did something like this. I think she does need a very good punishment to teach her a lesson but I wouldn’t consider this as an option. I grew up with very strict parents and I still think the mom took this too far. She could’ve been taught the same lesson a different way.

i aint gonna lie my mom went through my phone and yelled at me n sh bc i was sexually talking to people, yes i am embarrassed and im trying different ways of avoiding that. but her mother really should not have done that mine shouldnt have either because when my mother did it, i felt even worse about my self, i thought i was worthless and that i dont deserve anything i felt like a disgrace to my family, and her mother doing this to the young lady is worse than what my mother did to me, this can make the child feel worse and maybe even want to do it again to gain back the attention she had enjoyed.
