I know a Star Wars fan who had twins. As a SW fan myself, I said "I'm surprised you didn't make them Luke and Leia." Him: "I wanted to, but she wouldn't allow it." I guess the mom wasn't a SW fan.
No twins here but the delayed speech reminded me of my kid....they had issues, went to speech therapy but my husband couldn't understand when they were small so he'd say, "Is that right?" in reply.....Now, the child is 17 and I hear that when they talk to the dog. "Is that right?". 😂
One of the people I went to college with had an outburst one day: "I can't take it anymore! Half the time when I see that guy, he flirts with me and gives me lots of attention. The other half of the time, he doesn't acknowledge I exist!" So I'm like "Just go talk to him about it and see what he has to say." So my friend does. Comes back a few minutes later with a kinda sheepish look--turns out that the flirty guy was a twin: one was straight, one was gay.
In my brother's high school graduating class there were something like 10 sets of twins covering just about every type, identical, fraternal, mirror, boy/girl, gay/straight. Most had names that rhymed or were alliterative.
That sounds like my middle school. One year, our yearbook featured about eight pairs of twins. We had at LEAST 15+ sets in the school! That left such an impression on me that I usually have at least 1 set of twin characters in my artwork and stories now.
To the gentleman with the list of names here is another suggestion...Patience and Prudence. Our mom always threatened that's what she should have named us. I am personally glad she went with Lynn & Louise.🤣🤣🤣
@@donaldlayton437 none of my children are twins and no one has the same first initial as anyone else in the family. When a letter/delivery arrives I want to know who it belongs to without opening it.
All of these are crazy true!! My two were 10 yrs old before i could look at a baby without shuddering. So much work!! Missed the opportunity to name them SAM and ELLA.
I went to school with identical twins. One of them showed us a dot on her foot that her parents had tattooed a month after birth to tell them apart. Before that happened, she said they just called us "them". They were born in January of 1960.
In Dutch, identical twins are called "one-egg twins". So when my friend's twin brothers were asked if they were a one-egg twin, one pointed at his brother saying "yes, and he's the egg".
I’m over a year older then my sister and the amount of times I got asked if we were twins when I was younger . I was shocked the first time someone got the age gap right .
I'm a twin, but the younger twin girl paired with an older twin brother. First thing I get asked more often than not is "are you identical twins?" God, ma'am, I sure as hell hope not! 😂
I HAVE that shirt. It's red w black writing. Every so often someone will ask, "Where's the other one?" & I look up from under my lashes (which is super easy bc I'm short) & slowly say, "She's here, too." It's delightful. Recommend it 10/10 lol
I’m an identical twin, my birth dad was an identical twin (his brother died young), my birth mom had a set of identical twins after my sister and I, and I have a great aunt who had 3 sets of identical twins. I’m doomed 😂
I don't understand the hate for formula. Not every mother can breastfeed, and the extra time they could have for themselves is a bonus. Also, what if the baby is adopted or the mother unfortunately passed away? Not to mention, before formula and if you couldn't afford wet maid then you'll have to rely on what they have which often makes those babies be malnourished and even die. So, the introduction of baby formula, saved a lot of babies' health and lives.
As a mother who was physically and unexplainably unable to feed my babies, YES. *However,* there are much better, healthier, and cheaper alternatives. I wish I'd known back then 😢
@@deborahbarlow4309 There's several products to help extract milk from the mother then saved for the baby later which is very useful for those mothers who needs to go back to work (America) after giving birth as paid maternity isn't really an official thing in some places.
My twin boys were always so competitive. #2 cried at 5-6 yo and said: “I WONT EVER BE FIRST!!!” Both were flexing their muscles one day and #1 said: “David (his twin) works out, but I WORK!” Yep, #1 has working man muscles. They’re the best though. 18 yo now. #1 crew lead at burger joint going to college, #2 buff and awesome musician and joining military. Proud dad 😂😂
Not a twin nor a parent but have twin cousins. Wont tell anyone in family. I can’t tell them apart, i literally can’t and what’s worst they aren’t identical
Most likely to help the children learn the letters. Many children have trouble with that part especially & it can make the whole idea of separate letters confusing. I enjoy the LMNOP bit myself (& even have a book named Ella Minnow Pea, ha!), but as far as for learning purposes, well, perhaps we can have 2 versions of the song. That's far from unprecedented :)
I wen to school with this girl. We weren’t friends but friendly. During an assembly I had to do double take. She was in two different places. As a kid confused me till I learned she had a twin
I knew a set of triplets that two of them were identical but they had shared a sack and one suffered from the problem that he got less nutrition so he was smaller than his brothers but you could tell the DNA was the same.

I've read somewhere that the twin that comes out later is actually the older one!
I’m also two minutes younger than my twin sister
i have 3 sets of identical twin grandsons.
Wow! Are they from the same son/daughter in law or Daughter/ son in law?
Get those children of yours some birth control and some anti depressants! 😂 And of course, congratulations to you!

Where can I rent a well-regulated militia? Don’t bother, get a pair of handcuffs, lock them together and get the popcorn ready.

Wasn't there a film like that? I think it was called The Defiant Ones: Tony Curtis & Sidney Poitier.

I know a few twins that either have names that start with the same letter or rhyme. What's with that?
@@donaldlayton437 It was out of my hands, apparently it's a twin thing. At least our middle initials are different.
I realize that. The question was kind of rhetorical. Still, I find it weird that parents do that.

Because dressing you in different clothing or tying a red string to your ankle (like in the Bible) weren't options??

*Fraternal* twins, sure. Identical? Literally impossible.
Personally I like Phytagoras & Pi. But that doesn't mean I will ever use them to name my kids.
