    Just started building on Show It and it has been extremely intimidating, but this helped so much!

    Amazing tutorial! Thanks SO MUCH! Super helpful. I kist have one question, do you know how to make the dropdowns reveal as a hover action instead of having to click on the name to display de dropdown?

      Unfortunately, Showit doesn't have hover effects for navigation as of now. Maybe one day they will add something like that ^_^ but because of the way the builder works I don't know of a way that could be done

    In your drop down menu example, is there a way to hover over a menu item (portfolio) to show the drop down menu and also click on that item (portfolio) to take you to a portfolio page? Does that make sense?

    Hey! The drop-down menu is showing up behind the content on the page under it. How do I fix that?

    • @oaklynstudio
      @oaklynstudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Janae! It sounds like your canvas stacking orders might be out of order. After selecting the canvas the drop-down menu is on, go to the right panel and select the Canvas tab. Change the stacking order to a higher number than any of your other ones you want below it. Hope that solves it!

    Can you make a menu that appears as you scroll to a canvas further down the page?

    • @oaklynstudio
      @oaklynstudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you should be able to by using scroll actions. This video might help you better understand that: th-cam.com/video/Elb-oEz6zn0/w-d-xo.html

    Hi! Is it possible to have a different header/nav on each page of the same site? For example it has a background on the homepage, but not on other pages. Would this be done with custom CSS? Thank you!

    • @oaklynstudio
      @oaklynstudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm, I'm sure it can be done with CSS. But if it's something simple like different background colors; I would design your navigation to be transparent then place colored bars behind the navigation on the different pages.

    • @susangoodwin7419
      @susangoodwin7419 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@oaklynstudio ok thanks! I actually ended up creating multiple headers (the design was different on almost every page, some were overlapping a photo, some had background image, some did not etc.). I'm not sure this was the most efficient way, but it seems to work for this specific situation.🤷‍♀

      @@susangoodwin7419 Yea, that was probably best if they were all very different. Good luck on your designing!

    At 10:10 in the video how do I remove this from mobile???

    • @owlize5071
      @owlize5071 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anything that you don't want displayed on mobile can be disabled by clicking the little phone icon next to the element in the layers panel. Hope that helps!

    Hi! How do you change menu colors (text and background) as you scroll up or down? As in the Top Menu (Hamburger).

    • @isabellarodriguez157
      @isabellarodriguez157 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've used scroll actions to change it as a I scroll down, but can't change it back if I scroll back up.

    • @oaklynstudio
      @oaklynstudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      In the video at around 25minutes I talk/show how you can have a background show up behind the menu by changing the canvas view by using scroll actions. You could use this same process, except your second canvas would have different colors. For example, your hamburger could be black in your Canvas View 1. In your Canvas View 2 you could change your hamburger icon to pink. After setting up the scroll actions to change after scrolling off the page, you could have them switch between Canvas views.
      Hopefully this gives you some ideas and helps!

    Wow!!! "Old people who don't know what a hamburger menu is". What a naive and ridiculously ageist comment!

      Oh my, did I really say that! I apologize. I spoke only thinking of my grandparents who were computer illiterate. But you are very right in calling that comment out-- as it was very short sighted.
