    Imagine what would've been like if Titanic made it to New York on time and is freshly preserved as a floating hotel/working ocean liner alongside her sisters, Olympic and Britannic, that would've been awesome if that was the case.

      It would've been just a lesser Queen Mary and become overlooked due to her uninteresting career history.
      Maybe by surviving her maiden voyage, she might get to be a troop ship or hospital ship, like the Britannic, and serve in WW1 and maybe even WW2.
      But even then, unless she somehow make significant contribution or became of absurd heroic moment, she would still be forgotten and overshadowed by Queen Mary.
      You just can't fight a ship that was largest and fastest dedicated troop-carrier ship that is even faster than the Destroyer and have sunk a U-Boat on her own.
      It is after all the exact reason why Olympic was not preserve, along with the fact that British Empire become so poor that their empire collapse in 40 years.

    You can appreciate the forces that decimated the stern during the sinking; the ceiling of the 3rd class general room, staircase, and smoking room is folded over the stern like a giant steel taco. Also, both of the forward most cylinders of the four story tall steam engine were broken off when Titanic split. Eyewitnesses reported hearing loud booms under the water as the stern imploded. Great video, good work!

    Great job. It's like the ghosts of the past are coming to life. As in the main motif of James Cameron's Titanic - in its final note, when the old Rose returns to the Titanic in her dream. The living Titanic.
    This ship will excite people's minds for a long time. And the immortal creation of the Kameron team will long be the main diamond in the crown of world cinema.

    • @nobshistoryengineering4421
      @nobshistoryengineering4421  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The same way a tree stands for 100 years and then falls. When stress exceeds strength, failure occurs. Strength is decreasing over time due to corrosion of the ship, while stress can fluctuate up and down due to undersea currents, which are quite strong where Titanic rests. This is the most simple explanation I can give. Some people believe the crow's nest was stolen, but I just don't see how that is possible, I believe it collapsed and is now inside the cargo holds of the ship.

    I heard a comment on James Cameron titanic saying ship was too big as for rudder was too small hence she didn't turn as well .... Whether this is true fact but makes one think was the rear rudder far too small for titanic or a bad design maybe 🤔

    • @nobshistoryengineering4421
      @nobshistoryengineering4421  ปีที่แล้ว

      No it's not true. The design of the ship was as near to perfect as could be for the time it was built. She performed well turning in her sea trials and Olympic had a near 25 year career without much issue.

    No humans going fown with the ship would be there, they would all implode ad different variations.

    The Titanic never actually existed it was never actually build, its actually the Olympic redesigned . The company wanted to get rid of the Olympic, modified the Olympic to look like a new ship and purposedly made it faulty so it would sink to make it seem like a terrible accident. The Olympic had burn marks on the bottom areas and so strangely enough on some of the few pictures taken from the "Titanic" the same burn marks are located at the same spots as the Olympic not to mention how identical this 2 ships were outside and inside. I bet more people would have survived it werent for that stupid "class" division bullshit.

    • @nobshistoryengineering4421
      @nobshistoryengineering4421  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I promise you this is just not true.
      Titanic sank, Olympic was scrapped after ~25 years of service. There is no logical reason why they would sink Titanic on purpose, and it just never happened. The ship sank due to an accident as a result of carelessness.
      That is all. There is no burn mark. The ships are designed to be made nearly identical to each other.

      @MacXpert74 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That story makes no sense. If the Titanic didn't exist but was actually a renamed/redesigned Olympic, what identical ship remained sailing as the Olympic till 1935 when it was scrapped? When and how would they supposedly have made the changes to the Olympic design so that it would look like the Titanic, without anybody noticing it or any workers ever telling stories about that. And how come all the preserved parts of the Olympic, taken out when it was scrapped, all have the correct 400 identification code on them, while retrieved parts of the Titanic and things like the propellor on the Titanic wreck have the correct 401 code on them. How could they have switched everything out without anybody knowing about it?
      No, it's a BS story, written by someone in a 1960s novel, before the wreck was located. Without the wreck people could believe that story might be true. But the Titanic wreck confirms that the story is nonsense.

      If we are both looking at the same thing, I believe it's a pineapple finial carved in the wooden post. It may have some relation to the cherub in terms of religious symbolism.
