    16:16 Keeping your eyes is really hard. What help me the most is when we strike a bowl of water and the water splashes on our face and sparring with you being defensive only.

    • @WashedOlympian
      @WashedOlympian  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ouuu! The water technique is interesting! Never heard of that, but I assume over time after defensive boxing drills. You get better at keep your eyes open haha I think that would be my biggest weakness.

      @@WashedOlympian Yeah because flinching and closing your eyes when throwing a punch or punches coming to your face is a natural response. So, you have to get used to it over time in order to keep your eyes open in a fight.

    18:55 No, moving forward does not by itself win you points in a boxing match.
    I did GGG winning their first fight 7 rounds to 5.

    As much as the editing is on point theres something dishonest about dude leaving out fighters bad moments.

    Since Canelo doesn’t exceed in any specific area of boxing and prefers to have (at least) similar levels of skill in every area of boxing is what makes him so dangerous, pure power and an iron chin isn’t enough to beat him (GGG showed that) and it took someone who specialized in defence to beat him on points (Money Mayweather showed that). I say it will take someone else who has a much higher level of skill in all areas to beat him now…..or Father Time will take his toll on Canelo and he will slowly lose all his skills with old age (old age in boxers terms anyways) but even then it isn’t a guarantee….any old school boxing fan will tell you to look at Archie Moore “The Old Mongoose”.

    Canelo is very good, but a product of the time in a way. He might have been a little inexperienced against Floyd but Floyd was getting old and was too snall for that weight class himself.
    Canelos been the golden goose in a way, atleast a couple jusges in most of his fights are payed off to give Canelo the nod.
    In the fight with Floyd, despite Canelo never being able to land a significant punch one judge scored the fight a draw.
    In his fights with GGG, Canelo waited until GGG was 40 to fight him and even then he lost the first two fights but again got given the wins by corrupt judges.
    I think Mikes first trainer Teddy Atlas said it best "to beat Canelo you have to knock him out, and hope you dont get disqualified for doing it".
    Now Canelo has recently been dodging the ever loving hell out of David Benavidez who has earned a shot at the titles 2x over by now.
    Instead Canelos been fighting lesser ranked guys and guys from lower divisions.
    Id be a fan of Canelos if these kinds of things haven't gone on his entire career, hes tough as hell and has a really cool to watch style.

    I tend to have issues with this guys videos and the way he describes things.
    One of the highlights he chose to try and illustrate an improvement in Canelo happened before Canelo ever fought Mayweather.
    It's an effort to down play his loss against Floyd in saying that he was 23 or the voice overs saying Floyd chose to fight him when he was inexperienced.
    Realistically that's the only time their fight could have happened.
    Floyd was 36 and not exactly in his prime. He had brittle hands by this point and was very small for the weight class he was fighting in.
    Floyd started as a 130 pounder and wasn't big enough to go any higher then 154 and Canelo was going to grow out of the weight class.

      GGG has a better jab then Canelo and is better at cutting off the ring though Canelo has seemingly improved in that area.

    Trust me when I say you can tell BoredFilms is extremely biased for Golovkin, he didnt show really any Canelo highlights vs Golovkin when he has so many. He literally put effort into making it look like GGG won the second fight. When Canelo pushed Golovkin back the entire second fight and beat him up. All Golovkin landed were jabs you should watch the full fights. I had first fight a draw and second canelo by a few rounds 3rd fight canelo beat GGG extremely easy. Btw you asked if he picked his boxers if you're undisputed that means you have every belt in your division so canelo literally beat all the champions which means he's undoubtedly the best. Not only that but hes a 4-weight world champion. Canelo, Inoue, Usyk, and Crawford are the best boxers rn imo.

    Canelo does not look very spectacular compared to other guys' highlight reels because he is not a specialist, he is never the best at any aspect of boxing but is well rounded and good at every aspect. Therefore none of his skills will really stand out on his highlights compared to other guys. Being well rounded however made him the best in boxing because you can't poke a hole in his game, makes him hard to beat. Also if you know the opponents he is fighting, you will know that he fought and beat better quality opposition than everyone in boxing, making him the best fighter P4P (regardless of weight classes)

    • @emotionallesbian1691
      @emotionallesbian1691 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      also I thought GGG beat him in the first fight and Canelo rightfully won the second. But GGG unfortunately did not fight the best quality of opposition, making Canelo's career overall greater than GGG's. And is also probably the reason why GGG's highlights look way better than Canelo's. Love the videos btw keep it up!!

      Thank you for the information and insight. What you said makes perfect sense, and I could agree as well. Triple G does have good highlights, though ahhaha, but Canelo has dope defense for sure.
