I think i would really struggle not to address him and be in contempt of court when allowed to do the witness statement for real to the jury. At the very end it would take me all my strength not to tell him what he is and what he has taken from them. It's heartbreaking i want to say they are all amazing and Jennifer paxton would be so proud of theM. She Will be sending them love for enduring all the terrible things they have had a hear. Can't even begin to imagine what they have all been throug. Hopefully they get the verdict they are hoping for today or Monday. Did that judge actually vet and alter victim impact statements? Where does he get the authority to do that? I've never not once seen that before in any case in any state. Outrageous and disrespectful.
My reaction exactly! And it seems the things he’s taking out are very mild, no one is threatening or going crazy on this guy… SMH I am a true crime addict and never saw such restrictions placed!

These two monsters need to suffer. I prefer prison justice tbh. Going to miss funny, adorable, efficient Judge Grandpa Lighthouse and this wonderful accent (I adore accents) All the love translations last night was awesome 👍 and today has been a great trial Day. I won't say it was fun because of the pure tragedy but it's good to go through everything here together. Thank you, love you all (since Gabby went missing). I think the best judges are the ones that are less intrusive; we don't really notice them. Despite the horrific subject matter this trial has run smoothly without endless sidebars. Judge Grandpa Lighthouse was the ideal judge for this trial. Nice little touches of humour here and there probably help when the trial is a tough one to deliberate over. I don't envy these jurors one bit.
I agree. Those photos and horrible facts would never leave you. I have a whole list of favourite judges now. Grandpa lighthouse is so lovely and I'll never forget that story
How could there be a mistrial from these statements? If they’re being read in open court eventually, the guy would have been convicted! These are for sentencing purposes! Sorry to be questioning, I really do love this judge and prosecutor. Such professionalism and compassion.
The victim impact statement part is where you see REAL tears not the tears of the perpetrator which are usually only for themselves and the fact that they have been caught and brought up on charges. They are rarely sorry for their crimes.

If mom was on hospice and girlfriend said she didn't really have a relationship with mom. Who was caring for her..hospice doesn't work like that. Mom probably wasn't cruising around the house and yelling out of windows. Fishy, fishy
Scratching my head a bit with these impact statements… not that it’s a problem, but I’ve seen quite a few and the victims have been allowed to scream and berate the guilty person. And basically say whatever they needed to say. Just curious about the limitations put on these people 🤷🏻♀️
