Nothing compares to the sound of these beasts in real life hey! I have a 1098R with the 70mm but the smaller exhaust on the1198S is louder for some reason.
I still think this is one of the sexiest bikes ever made, I am searching for a good low mileage bike, either 1198 or 1098, i hope i find one, how is the heat on the bike compared to newer 1000cc ??
That's a smart move Tim! Good luck with the purchase. There are a bunch of preventative maintenance items that I would definitely recommend for these bikes. Message me when you find one and I can help you out. I'd say the 1198 heat is about the same as a Panigale. More heat around the legs and less on the butt though. Not pleasant in Aussie summer traffic, that's for sure.
@@russssh I absolutely appreciate it and would be really grateful if you can help for sure, buying these kind of bikes nowadays are almost a gamble if you didn’t know the history behind the bike and maintenance, i heard some ppl say that they are reliable engines but when it comes to electric stuff here where we get into trouble, but with your help hopefully i will not face these issues, regarding the heat 😫😫 i live in Bahrain and if you don’t know any thing about it just listen to what Formula 1 drivers say when they race here in summer, hellish weather but worth it for sure to have the last Real analog super bike from Ducati. Do you any other social media to keep in touch and update you ?! Stay safe, Tim.

Stay safe,
Tim.
I want to share my impatience with you: I'm going to look for a Corsican 1198s soon 🥰
awesome 1198 man, hate how you gotta double tap the ignition button on these sometimes
They need a lot of convincing to start sometimes!
@@russssh Just throw a shot of espresso on the bike first :D
What is that clatter/rattle sound from the engine? Is that normal?
It's got a blown motor. All Ducati's have it. Jokes, it's the dry open clutch. :)
Dry clutch normal
Timeless beauty!
