    Good work!
Cleat hitch. Go from your point of entry all the way across to the other horn before making the diagonal back across. Think about it, when you just go around the horn and over the top 90% of the pressure of your boat is pulling on one side of the cleat. If you cross on the bottom then go across the top, you're pulling on the center of the cleat.
Also, start your hitch on the opposite side that the line is coming from. Both of yours went around the closest point. Give it a shot.

I've got the same situation. Finger lakes with swirling light winds and no real room to maneuver. It's better than no sailing but just barely. I'm glad to see you out there.

I wouldn’t say barely better, I would say WAY BETTER than no sailing! Someone also said that people that sail on lakes “really” learn to sail. We are gaining skills you don’t get from just setting a tack and going straight in consistent winds all the time.

Way to GO! Looked like a nice day! Moving good for light winds. Great job!

Missed the interesting parts like putting in the water, backing down the ramp, filling the ballast, raising the mast, etc. also putting back onto trailer, emptying the ballast, Macgregor bump, lowering the mast, getting ready to tow back home. Pity. All this is hard to do single handed. Also no talking while sailing. Just annoying music. Not up to your usual standards.

Enjoying the sailing tunes ! Tempo would have been a bit more appropriate for a 30 degree lean though ! haha damn light air !

Ah, see that was supposed to be editing magic, fast tempo music is supposed to make it look WAY more intense than it actually was. lol.

I think it was around $400. Got it a while ago for my other boat, I just bought a separate transducer and power cable so I switch it back and forth between the two boats.
