emma immediately saying she hated the vintage penguin style after saying you love them was so funny
Book shopping (even without buying any books) is such a fun hobby 😂
As a teen, when I would meet up with a girl in Manhattan ( before cell phones were ubiquitous), I would always suggest meeting at a bookstore. Because if the traffic or subway made one of us late or early, there was something to pass the time. If she didn't like the idea, I took it as an ominous sign that we probably weren't a good idea.
Friendship goals! I would love to have a friendship like this.
You two in the same room is too wonderful for words 😊
i love how emma is just making little sounds of agreeing while carolyn talks about the books she bought and also you two wearing emma’s necklace
I noticed that as well. Emma (please don't take offense) looks absolutely exhausted by the end. Your book shopping adventure must have taken a toll.
Glad you enjoyed your trip to see Emma, Carolyn. Good fun.
I hope you enjoy Small Things Like These. It is a great piece of writing. Greetings from Ireland ☘️
Thank you!

@@CarolynMarieReads ah brilliant , glad you did. 👏 Thanks for all the content. 💕
@@CarolynMarieReads I think I removed your heart reaction! I dunno why I had a timestamp on my comment, and I edited it and removed it, and your reaction disappeared... just in case you're wondering, lol 😆
Aww you guys are adorable. Friends that sniff books together, stay together. Is there another smash or pass video coming?
@@CarolynMarieReadsIf it's another smash or pass authors video, you better of granted Emma's wish from last year and added women 😂
Wish you live near each other! The videos you do together are perfection! You are the loveliest friends! 💕💕💕💕
"Look at his glasses" "SMASH" 😂

Came here right after watching Emmie's book shopping video. You're such a lovely human being ❤
Love when you two are together 😊. How fun would it be if you and Emma go book shopping in Ireland! That would be amazing!
The Penguin Classics were my favorite for a long time, especially the ones I could carry in the back pocket of my blue jeans (obviously not War and Peace or Don Quixote - more like Selected Stories of Balzac), because beside the wonderful cover art they always included interesting introductions and helpful endnotes (rarely footnotes). However, today I just don't care and build my tbr around the main work regardless of the publisher, editor [even the translator, really], typesetter, etc. Keep in mind though for several months in my 20s I travelled everywhere with my huge Bevington Shakespeare. I can only guess its weight but certainly more than a large cat.
You guys smelling the book 🥰💓
Emma saying "Why are we like this" to the biggest Heartstopper stan ever
I knowww 😂 I didn’t think anything of it until I was editing the clip hahaha
Just your regular video about women watching jets.😁🛩
I picked up ''Small Things Like These'' i'll be reading it sometime between Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Ooohhh Never Let Me Go 🥶
That book still has me.
I saw this video, then Emmie's video, and now I'm back... of course it is important, you NEED to show us what you got in wonder pens :). Please, can you include a stationary haul in one of your next videos? It would be so cool❤
I enjoy writing letters and am therefore always interested in fine stationary.

Will Carolyn ever go back to her roots and review Russian classics? I hope so!😢
No, I just enjoy reading Russian literature :) (I’m Italian American)
I’m hoping to not only read and review more Russian classics, but books from many countries 😊
@@CarolynMarieReads They are amazing. Sorry, I didn't know that Carolyn. I subscribed, so surely will be getting to know you more.
Todd here. Nice vlog.
14:57 i'm dying
❤📚👭❤
Never let me go is awful. But I also think some books are a matter of taste so enjoy
Move.....MOVE-IN TOGETHER FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!😢
Okay, I like Carolyn because she was talking about Russian lit, but now I know why I like Emmie. Because my only family playmate as a kid was Chrissy who was 8 years older than me and she'd always correct my pronunciation. Of course she'd also spin me or get on all fours and let me ride her like a horse as an elementary kid and who could hate that. My other three siblings were older and thus would not play like that with me.
Ruth would tickle torture me to keep me at bay. An evil task of tickling a person until they couldn't breathe. She was 10 years older and thus above fun and stuff like that. Sort of like the difference between Lucy and Susan of Narnia.
First, I did not care for Emma cheating on Calcifer with that other cat!
Second, why is my last name not Pizza?
Third, you have such beautiful eyes!
Unfortunately I didn't like Small things like these :((
A recent subscriber. Very glad I found this channel! Tried reaching out via email. Keep up the great work!
Check out The Paris Bookseller if you're interested in Sylvia Beach . such a beautiful book about her and her famous literary friends
Ooo thank you for the recommendation! I will definitely check it out :)
The kind of friendship you have to cherish.
