Yeah, he was trying to swim in the shallows from his end, and was dropping the ball and I called him out. He gaslit me and blamed me for disappointing him, and then i ended it in quite an abrupt way that hurt him, because he was very rejected, but then he did sneak away and even when i opened up and shared ways we could get closer he then took that expression of vulnerability and came back in with "lets fuck, you're sexy". Made efforts to help butter me up, just to get the sexual interaction. I can't begin to describe how disappointing that is to see from a full grown man who i know, has deeper feelings for me but you are right, no emotional intelligence and full of assumptions about what he is entitled to but not willing to put in actual work for
Great reading. Met my avoidant in 2007 we've been off and on false starts, etc. We connected again this summer, lots of convo, fun sharing even though we've nvr been intimate.
