I bought the version 2 on Ali for $75.00. The fit and finish are amazing for the price.
Mine has the Rolex needle type GMT hand as well as thicker hour and minute hands.
Plus a screw down crown not on this V1. My pearl movement is +6 on the time-grapher.
    Lume is acceptable.
All in all, if this keeps running that accurate for 1-2 years, it's a home run!! Love it.
    Great review!!

I have one of these, but I got it for something just over a hundred bucks. I love it. Mine is very accurate, and I love how easy it is to tell the time with a quick glance. I have several Pagani watches, and this is my favorite of all of them.

I bought the version 2 with the vintage black dial and 200 m water resistance for 83 bucks on the last AliExpress sale a month ago, I mostly bought it because I don't have any other gmt watches and was curious to see the Pagani Design quality for myself, so far I've been wearing it for over two weeks (mostly because I broke my leg and can't go up and down the stairs that easily) and I impressed with the quality, fit and finish and it keeps great time.

I bought one for $113 USD when they first released. I love it. With that said it rarely comes out of the watch case now. I bought it for the look and to test if I wanted to save for the real thing. I decided I like it so much I would rather just wear this one if I am in the mood for the look. I would not want to pay over $200 for a Pagani. I own 4 styles and have had amazing luck with quality bit I get nervous buying them. For $200 you can get some amazing watches especially in the used market.

I have no need for a gmt but if I did I would be all over this. I love the orange contrasting hand on the white dial

Bought one for $125 and it traveled with me to Germany. Perfect piece, kept very good time (-7 seconds a day) and held up in all kinds of weather. Very comfortable - I wear it more often than other pieces.

I picked one up a couple of months ago for about 135.00 Canadian. I love the look of the watch, but I find it a bit heavy with the metal bracelet. I've ordered a different strap, similar to the one that came with the Pagani Omega Planet Ocean homage (which is currently my favorite watch).

Just got mine from Ali express in the last sale for $120. It's the V2, screw down crown, larger hands, and pointed GMT. All looking good, contrast is great with the hands/markers, movement seems fine. For the money it's great value, well finished but not perfect. Bracelet rattles a little because of the screw types they use, the thread is next to the head of the screw and the rest is just a bar so rattles on the opposite side of the screw head. Screw down crown is a little rough to screw in but some watch oil will sort it. Little rotor wobble in a fast flick, like the 8215 movement. But for the price, I'm ok with this, no worries of damage etc and I don't need to insure it 🙂

if you buy it now, pagani has updated their explorer to have a bigger handset and a needle GMT hand. now it looks more like an explorer

Nice review. I do prefer the $62 PD quartz watch you reviewed, or some of the other Chinese mechanicals
with seiko or miyota movements for a good bit cheaper. I understand there are some chinese brands such as San Martin that are around $200 - $250 were yiu are getting some higher grade finishing for the $. Cheers!

Maybe it is just me but I would like you to explain the scope results. I see the numbers but have no idea what it means about the accuracy of the watch.

    • @ShouldITimeThis
      @ShouldITimeThis 2 ปีที่แล้ว

No problemo. The number you'll see on screen (on the scope) in the upper left hand corner is how many seconds per day the movement is gaining or losing. The scope essentially "listens" to the movement to tell how many beats are happening per second and based on the frequency (length of time between / consistency / rate) of the "beats" (ticks) it can show you an average of how many seconds ahead or behind a watch movement will be based on that calculation. So in this instance, it shows "+24 s/d" after a minute on the scope, so the scope calculated that with this movement operating at its current frequency, it will be 24 seconds AHEAD of the actual time every 24 hours.

interesting. I don't like the Rolex Explorer, so I won't be buying this homage. But I do like the aesthetic of the homage in general, and I'd like to see more reviews of such watches. As always, nice work on the details, and really appreciate all you do.
