I feel so sorry for you , you take such good care of your sheep ,but like you said this is out of your control. Hopefully the vet will come back with some better news on the other lambs

Oh will, I’m so gutted for you and the ewes too. I watch Sandi go through this and she feels just like you are. Is it worth having a chat to her-just because she totally “gets it”, we can only imagine and that’s hard enough. Keeping everything crossed for the little ewe lamb at home and all the other ewes 🤞🤞. Just try and keep your chin up xx

Yes, there are many differences across your property and your flock. However, remember that all your sheep have been stressed by the rain and floods! Every stressed being’s immune system gets weakened; even excellent feed and husbandry can’t always defeat problems exacerbated by stress. Hope you can get definitive answers from your vet’s necropsies, so you can have better results going forward.

Keep the head up Will. By the very nature of it the premature issues will always be at the start! This too will pass. Keep up the great videos. We're so looking forward to the lambing vlogs in our house. The kids watch it like a soap! All the best, From Co Fermanagh, Northern Ireland

After watching your video, I think your sheep are well raised. Our company produces solid-liquid separators that can convert animal manure into fertilizer for crop fertilization. If you use fertilizer for grassland maintenance, you can achieve maximum resource utilization. We hope you will carefully consider our suggestion.😊

So sorry Will, sole crushing. I've seen Sandy struggle with early losses like this before. I hope the rest of lambing goes off without any difficulties.

Real sorry to hear about the loss of the lambs Will, and I know it is very difficult and hard on you and although I have never been greatly involved with sheep, I used to be the very same when we lost calf's. Hopefully things will turn for you as you start what should be the main lambing period. If there is a positive to be had out of the sadness, its the fact your have shown to those not involved in farming what the real picture can be, and that it does have an impact on the farm financially but more importantly on farmers and their mental health. Stay strong and battle on.

I used to have problems with lambing, when the sheep crowded at the feeding, I had few feeding places for the sheep, sheep jumped on each other, when i fixed it the problems stopped.

Will, my sympathies with you. As to the toxoplasmosis, it is very much a wait and see approach. With the vaccine, the question is whether it was correctly manufactured and stored properly at correct temperature range.
Out of curiousity, has your vet mentioned what can be done if it is a vaccine failure to save the rest of the lambing season?

So sorry for what your going through Will its just heartbreaking. We had problem years ago with ewes we bought in in lamb and mixed them with our own and then we had a good few abortions. Its very hard cos you dont know when it will end and its out of your control. Sending you best wishes.

I consider you the best shepherd that I watch. I've watched others but they don't measure up to you. (Sorry, but I am a cow person.) You seem to be doing all the right things but sometimes things are out of your control. Look at it this way, things are bound to improve so you just have to hang in there until then.

Unfortunately thats lambing either it starts good and ends crap or starts crap and ends good. At least you have sheds and not outside lambing with all the predators waiting for any unattended lambs and just pick them off. You can’t be everywhere all the time. On the plus side your ewes look well and i ain’t a lleyn fan.
