  • In early April, I made my final outing to U.S. Sugar for the foreseeable future as college graduation and a move to the other side of the country was imminent. However, this 2 day trip went out in the best way, with an awesome variety of sugarcane, manifest, and passenger operations that run on the tracks of U.S. Sugar. Notable catches include the leased SD40 that USSC had for a few months, cane trains on both the USSC and SCFE mainlines, and of course, steam engine 148 on a variety of passenger excursions throughout the weekend.
