Thanks for the free pattern & tutorial. I just learned this beautiful stitch. I love wearing shawls instead of scarves around my neck. I can't wait to make it! ❤
I just found this ! I’m so happy because I just purchased mandala yarn and didn’t know what I was going to make. I’ve started it, and love it. Thank you 🙂
Thank you for producing such a clear and concise tutorial. I have been searching for just the right pattern to make with my Mandala skein in the color "Centaur". This is exactly what I needed!
Bonnie Riffle I’m so happy to hear it was easy to understand!! I’m pretty new at TH-cam tutorials so I’m trying my best to put out clear crochet tutorials! I’m getting ready to make a FB page for all my subscribers to share their work, see upcoming tutorials, and general crochet 👍🏻
Thanks so much for the tutorial. I have so far made 4 of these and just love the way they work up. I plan on donating them to a homeless shelter. Thanks!!!
Laurie Widenmaier I’m so happy to hear not only you liked my tutorial but your giving to a homeless shelter! I pray lots of blessings come to those you give them to and God bless you hun!!
I was having a crojo issue while recovering from surgery and was sent a cake of a substitution of Mandala yarn in the Thunderbird colorway (I had ordered Pegasus...big switch in colorways...lol) and came across your tutorial and decided to give it a shot as I haven't had a chance to use Mandala yarns yet...and a slip in my crojo. But this is fabulous and I thank you. I am loving this. Now to find another cake of Thunderbird as I tend to lean toward longer shawls. But this may be enough and I may wear in more of a cowl style wrap. Thank you again.
I would love to try this pattern in Malibrigo yarn. So pretty! Also need to find some of the Mandala yarn as well. You are a very good teacher! Looking forward to more of your videos! Thank you!
Patricia Douglass it's definitely a pattern I had to work with to get it simplistic but it does have a lot of texture that makes it look harder. I'm glad you enjoyed my tutorial and I will be doing some more videos soon. Thanks for your comment!
Haha - I thought the knocking at your end was my dogs getting into something in the kitchen! Thanks - been looking for an interesting pattern to crochet a wrap for a friend
Hi Amanda. I really enjoyed this tutorial. Great job. Love this design as well. I see on your channel its been a while since you have published a tutorial. I hope there are more to come. Thank you!
Hello this is the first time that I am checking out your Channel, you came up on my notifications as a recommendation. I am glad that I watched your video because I have been looking for a Shaw to make that is very warm and here it is. I cannot thank you enough, my sister has terminal bone cancer and I've been trying to find a warming up Shaw and everything out there is always Lacey. Thank you once again and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a very blessed New Year
This is a great tutorial. Thank you. Have had a go and done some practicing, and now feel ready to use my Mandala Baby cake....looking forward to the finished result. Using a 4.5 hook as I tend to crochet on the loose side....
Giving an update. On my second mini bean shawl. Loved, loved how my first one turned out:) . Used Lion Brand cupcake. Thank you again for such great pattern!
margaret dombkoski I’m so happy you liked the pattern and That’s awesome you did two mini bean shawls already!! Hopefully I can have a FB page for all my youtubers to share their finished projects! Happy crocheting 👍🏻
Making this in Cupcake yarn. It's been a challenge - but I am progressing. Would suggest using a marker on the point and being sure to count the "beans" on each side. A bit tedious, but necessary. Love the results so far. Have done two baby blankets in Suzette stitch, and this does seem similar. Thank you for the pattern:)
margaret dombkoski yes!! If it will make it easier and help you find stitches then I would use a stitch marker! I’ve been crocheting for years and I will still use one if I feel it’s going to help keep my place. Happy crocheting and thanks for watching my tutorial 👍🏻
chastity ropafadzo Dziva there’s so many ways to wear it . You can even google how to wear a shawl. This one I usually wear it how the picture is. I put the point on my chest and the ends wrap around the neck area. Hope this helps!
I finished my shawl using this same pattern and yarn and it came out to be 45.5" wide and 23 5" long. My first one. Proud of myself but it's small and in not sure why.
Beautiful shawl lovely colour. Just wanted to clarify when you are doing your second row, or are you going into the chain after the mini bean or going into the mini Bean. Thank you very much for your time I did enjoy watching that
Nicola Garlick when you watch the video I do a mini bean in the space next to my chain when starting my second row, then I do my second mini bean stitch of the row next to the mini bean stitch. So you see a cluster and then a trianglular stitch right next to the cluster, that’s where you’ll make your mini bean stitches. When you end the row, make sure to do your DC. Hope I understand the question and answered correctly. If not just let me know 👍🏻. Thank you for watching!
Jude Mathena-Fishell I’m glad you liked it!! Mini bean stitch gives things a lot of texture! Honestly I didn’t count I just got to my desired measurement and stopped.
I finished the Shawl. It’s sooo beautiful, thanks to you. I sent a join request to your Facebook page ~ would love to share a photo. And if you have Instagram too!
Hi! I've been looking for a lightweight shawl pattern to make for my daughter using some Mandala yarn I bought---I think I will try this! Thank you for sharing. Good luck with your channel! Subscribed!!
What I do is watch the video first while writing the pattern, afterwards it’s easier to follow the video while crocheting 😊 Beautiful shawl, thank you.
helpful tie off, needle end of yarn away from the end, and because you like to knot, take the needle off, now divid your yarn, so you may have a 4 ply, 2 and 2 , wrap 2 strands around a lower yarn, bring back up to other 2 strands and tie your knots, I use a half surgen knot, go around 2 times as if you are making the first part of a regular knot, then the next part of the knot go around once , making sure it is tight, if you make it as a square knot, it and all knots hold better, top over top, so if the lower part of the knot lets say the righthand side, take that end and go over the top of the left hand to make a square knot.
Thanks for the free pattern & tutorial. I just learned this beautiful stitch. I love wearing shawls instead of scarves around my neck. I can't wait to make it! ❤
I just found this. Starting this tomorrow. Thank you so much for sharing.
I just found this ! I’m so happy because I just purchased mandala yarn and didn’t know what I was going to make. I’ve started it, and love it. Thank you 🙂

Thanks, I just love making things and have no one to give them too lol.
Laurie Widenmaier I get that!!! New yarn comes out or a new tutorial you just have to try!! That’s totally me too 👍🏻
So thrilled with this tutorial. Love the mini bean stitch! Thank you.
Me too 🥰!! Your welcome
I was looking for something different to do. Can't wait to try this, I have 3 balls of Scarfie yarn. Keep the videos coming.
Nice tutorial and stitch! Looks good on worsted yarn too 🥰
Beautiful. I just found your channel. So happy I did. Yay😀. Can’t wait to make this.
Thank you! Happy crocheting 🧶
This is a lovely pattern, and works up great straight from the get go!
Beautiful and I’m new. This shawl has been the best and easiest to learn for a beginner. I recommend this pattern for newbies. Thanks!
Tanacarroll you just made my day 💜. Thank you very much!!
What a Super Cute Stich 😍
Thanks, this is just what I needed. I have a ball of Mandala which is perfect for this. Already zooming through!
It works up fairly quickly for a shawl! Glad to see you trying out my pattern 😊

Ty. I've wanted to make a shawl but I don't like the holes in most. This is very doable 👍
Excellent tutorial I loved. Thanks

I’m so sorry to hear that about your sister! I’m glad I can at least provide a good pattern for you to make! Prayers and wishes for a peaceful 2020
This is a great tutorial. Thank you. Have had a go and done some practicing, and now feel ready to use my Mandala Baby cake....looking forward to the finished result. Using a 4.5 hook as I tend to crochet on the loose side....
Such a pretty shawl! Do you have a tutorial for a shawl with a U shaped neckline as this drapes better over the shoulders. Thanks
I am so doing this shawl. That you!
Giving an update. On my second mini bean shawl. Loved, loved how my first one turned out:) . Used Lion Brand cupcake. Thank you again for such great pattern!

Perfect IN EVERYWAY❣️
Aww thank you
For this pattern can you use bernat pop
Its beautiful, and quiet easy to follow, but was wondering how you wear it
chastity ropafadzo Dziva there’s so many ways to wear it . You can even google how to wear a shawl. This one I usually wear it how the picture is. I put the point on my chest and the ends wrap around the neck area. Hope this helps!
Beautiful..........thank you for the tutorial
Tonya Velazquez your very welcome 👍🏻
That is so pretty.. how many skeins of yarn did it take to do.
So pretty... what size hook?
It calls for a 5mm but she uses a 5.5
I finished my shawl using this same pattern and yarn and it came out to be 45.5" wide and 23 5" long. My first one. Proud of myself but it's small and in not sure why.
Please make a video for a easy easy granny st.shawlett you are truly amazing

BeeLoved Crochet Awesome thank you. I think it will all become clear when I begin making my one today.
Which type/brand is the crochet-needle you use in this video, it looks like it has a good grip around the loops
Susan bates... I like the flatter head and I feel it works much better!
Will this work with one ball of the regular mandala yarn?
Oh what a FUN stitch this is! Love your scarf. How many rows did you do before you stopped? Just curious
Jude Mathena-Fishell I’d love to see it too... I’ll take a look at my page here in a minute!!
Lovely thank you for sharing x😀
Evonne Won't your welcome 👍🏻
Is it normal for it to curl in the beginning?
Thank you ☺️
thank you , thank you thank you !

gimmedatstick I hope you liked the tutorial and it was easy to follow, thank you for the subscription to my channel 😊
It’s 3.00 at my Walmart
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Is there a print out for this pattern.? I can’t seem to follow by starting and stopping the tutorial. TIA. Pat.
Pat R I’m sorry there is not. Where are you having a hard time? If I can help I’ll definitely try!
What I do is watch the video first while writing the pattern, afterwards it’s easier to follow the video while crocheting 😊 Beautiful shawl, thank you.
If I never get the words mini bean stitch again I can die happy
God Bless U tooo Aameen
How come yours doesn’t have holes down the center? I even used a 5.25 mm hook. 😑
Probably because the bean stich is so close together
helpful tie off, needle end of yarn away from the end, and because you like to knot, take the needle off, now divid your yarn, so you may have a 4 ply, 2 and 2 , wrap 2 strands around a lower yarn, bring back up to other 2 strands and tie your knots, I use a half surgen knot, go around 2 times as if you are making the first part of a regular knot, then the next part of the knot go around once , making sure it is tight, if you make it as a square knot, it and all knots hold better, top over top, so if the lower part of the knot lets say the righthand side, take that end and go over the top of the left hand to make a square knot.
Very beautiful.i want the number of your hok.thank you,,🌹🌹
Thank you! The hook I used for this tutorial was a 5.5mm crochet hook 👍🏻
Quiero que. Meable. Enespaño
I call that stitch you're using a 2/3s puff stitch. LOL!!
Donna Ridenhour-McHenry lol it’s a nice stitch 👍🏻
En français j aimerais mieux merci
You are doing it too tightly because you hold your hook wrongly and uncomfortably. Most in TH-cam do it quite strangely.
