My father was a minor diplomat, and had NO confidence in the American Educational system. At age, 14, I was sent back to the Mother Country to be properly educated. When there, I was trained in organ, and played all four years I was there. Even now, nearly 50 years later, the memories are just as fresh as then. Sublime hymn. I'm missing the great Christmas music of old. I can't stand Jing Bells or many contemporary Christmas music. The crap nw is seasonal, not Christmas music.
It is always a great pity when congregations cannot pick up the tempo of the choir and organ, perhaps even watch the director of music, and go at their own pace. I know, I am being picky. Just speaking as an ex head chorister - used to annoy me beyond the limit.
For those of us who prefer to hear this amazing choir sing alone, the congregations' singing is a *major* interference. The Chapel Congregation is not world renound, the College Choir is.
@TheRenaissanceman65 - churches and cathedrals are public places of worship. Private chapels are not. They are usually within the grounds of a large house or in this case college.
