Sounds fine. Because it all depends on the quality of the sound. If your surround sound sounds great when watching a movie, then it is set-up just fine.

Hi, i'm from the UK. Your video is very informative. Please can let me know what is the brand or model of the mixer that you are using so I can buy one from Amazon. Maraming Salamat Kabayan for the video.
Good information, very well explain and detailed. I order the same model as the video says everything is working except for the sound. No audio coming out of the microphone and speakers. What else can I do to resolve the issue? Need help othrwise I’ll return the product.
Hi, Mabuhay. I really like your video and I really like the device. I have one question. I want to use party light (requires DMX cable). Is there anyway to connect DMX cable to the device? Maybe DMX to AUX or DMX to HDMI or something?
Thank you for the video. When I am not playing TH-cam Karaoke songs through the Soundtown system, do I have to do anything to my TV, Soundbar or Soundtown system to play non Karaoke channels, e.g. films, sport etc.
Hi. No you do not have to. And if you want to use a digital connection for movies, etc, you can use HDMI that could be directly connected to a soundbar and just simply switch the sound output of the TV.
Very informative!! May I know sir what specific model of fifine is equipped with the input /output optical cables. My soundbar only have 1 optical input and 1 usb. Thank you kabayan!
Hey mate - I've bought a mixer - I run an optical cable from my LG C1 tv to the Mixer - then an optical cable from the mixer to my soundbar - and the TV will only play sound via the TV speaker. Also - I get a HUGE microphone delay to the point it is not useable. I'm using the ACNOS MI30s and my TV is an LG C1 65" : I have my optical cable into the TV output and that cable is going into the Optical IN on my mixer. Then I have an optical cable going from the Optical Out on my mixer and this is connected directly to my soundbar. The microphone sound comes through the soundbar, but there is NO audio from the TV unless I set it to "TV SPEAKER" as the sound source. When I select Optical on my TV sound - and change it to PCM format - there is still NOTHING coming out from the soundbar. Also - there is a microphone delay so it's not workable for karaoke because the music is coming 1 second ahead of the microphone sound..... Any tips?
Hi. The delay is probably caused by the 2 audios being played on 2 different devices. You need to figure out how to play the music into the Sound bar. Question, if you connect the TV Optical OUT directly to Soundbar Optical IN, does it work? Also, are you using the same mixer that is in my video?
I think about the same, but personally, I am using Chromecast because I am not sure if PCM affects the quality of the Sound. For example, I want Surround Sound quality when watching a movie from the TV. So I make sure my setting is not set to PCM but Dolby. But then again, it is just a guess... I have not noticed any huge difference in sound quality.
Hi. Not in this video. I just published a new video that uses hdmi arc: How To Set-up A Home Karaoke System Using Free TH-cam Karaoke Music & HDMI ARC Connections th-cam.com/video/XN_3CAo5s3g/w-d-xo.html
A stupid question here but if you connect the optical cable into your soundbar can you still watch tv etc without change outputsettings on the tv? Hehe i hope you understand what i mean. Usually you just use the hdmi cable from tv to soundbar do i need to change settings between karaokenights and watch netflix?
You should not have to switch anything. Just make sure that your mixer is on. But you can also connect the TV to Sound bar if you have the slots to do it. When you do that, you need to quickly change the TV Sound Out to watch a movie, and vice versa.
Hi. I have a Samsung smart tv with hdmi arc and and a jbl sound bar+ subwoofer that takes hdmi and optical. Do I need anything more than a mixer+mics??
Hi. Please watch the video carefully. It is all explained in the video. The video has a checklist of each gadget. Please make sure you have all the gadgets mentioned in the video. Thanks.
thank you for the video. Is the any latency with the music when singing ? Also do I need anything more except the mixer and soundbar and TV. On their home page it states following: What do they mean => Setup Requirement: The wireless microphone system needs to be connected to a powered speaker or an amplifier with passive speakers (with 1/4", 1/8” or optical inputs) to work. These devices are sold separately.

Thanks for this video! Do you plan on making a video on setting up karaoke system on existing surround system through smart tv and using Yamaha mg06x mixer?
The one I am using in the video actually can also support 1 XLR mic. The other mixer you could use is the one in this video: th-cam.com/video/oJNiT4k9th0/w-d-xo.html The link to Amazon is always in the description of the video.
Very informative video. My TV has an optical output also, but in the sound option the only sound output choices are line out, tv, s/PdIf, hdmi arc headphone and line out. There were no PCM, What should I choose?
Interesting. Not really sure why you don't have Optical in the Sound Output. The sound output is a different setting, the Sound format is different. Set the sound format to PCM, and then try each Sound Output and see if any works.

Please try it and let me know! I’d like to feature it if it works out.
very well explained. thanks
Thanks! :)
Have you tried the toner TW-820?
In comparison?
Thanks
Thank you for the video. When I am not playing TH-cam Karaoke songs through the Soundtown system, do I have to do anything to my TV, Soundbar or Soundtown system to play non Karaoke channels, e.g. films, sport etc.
Hi. No you do not have to. And if you want to use a digital connection for movies, etc, you can use HDMI that could be directly connected to a soundbar and just simply switch the sound output of the TV.
Hi Joe just boight the same mixer as yours, however microphone is not working, can you assist? thanks much
Hi. Did you follow the steps correctly? Only the mic is not working, but the music works? Please describe your connection in more detailed way.
Hi. Thanks for the video. But do you experience any delay on the audio/vocals using this set up? Thank you
Hi. Ive done this setup at least 5 different ways and never had any delays.
Very informative!! May I know sir what specific model of fifine is equipped with the input /output optical cables. My soundbar only have 1 optical input and 1 usb. Thank you kabayan!
Hi. I actually did not use Fifine. I used Soundtown and the link to Amazon is in the description. Good luck!
Which set up is better if you have a AV receiver. This one or the one using chrome cast? Thank you
I think about the same, but personally, I am using Chromecast because I am not sure if PCM affects the quality of the Sound. For example, I want Surround Sound quality when watching a movie from the TV. So I make sure my setting is not set to PCM but Dolby. But then again, it is just a guess... I have not noticed any huge difference in sound quality.
So ur using hdmi arc from tv to ur home system?
Hi. Not in this video.
I just published a new video that uses hdmi arc: How To Set-up A Home Karaoke System Using Free TH-cam Karaoke Music & HDMI ARC Connections
th-cam.com/video/XN_3CAo5s3g/w-d-xo.html
A stupid question here but if you connect the optical cable into your soundbar can you still watch tv etc without change outputsettings on the tv?
Hehe i hope you understand what i mean.
Usually you just use the hdmi cable from tv to soundbar do i need to change settings between karaokenights and watch netflix?
You should not have to switch anything. Just make sure that your mixer is on. But you can also connect the TV to Sound bar if you have the slots to do it. When you do that, you need to quickly change the TV Sound Out to watch a movie, and vice versa.
Hey thanks for this info video. Great tutorial! Can I use a Shure mic with XLR connector? My soundbar only has optical connector
I think so. I don't see why you can't.
Will it give good quality mix in lg scq1 sound bar?
It should
Good video 👏👏👏
Thank you 👍
I have not experienced any lag in many of my test setup.
All you need are the gadgets i described in my video
Hi Jo I tried and follow you while I’m setting up my karaoke system in my Samsung tv and Bose soundbar I got the same mixer you have … but my microphone is not working
Did you set the pcm settings correctly?
Thanks for this video! Do you plan on making a video on setting up karaoke system on existing surround system through smart tv and using Yamaha mg06x mixer?
Any info will be a great help... Thanks again, Kuya!
Not really because regardless of the mixer model, the steps should be pretty much the same.
Do you have a recommended mixer for microphone with xlr cable?
The one I am using in the video actually can also support 1 XLR mic. The other mixer you could use is the one in this video: th-cam.com/video/oJNiT4k9th0/w-d-xo.html The link to Amazon is always in the description of the video.
Which soundbar would you recommend ? Thx
You can click the link in the description. I have some recommendations on Amazon.
I have a mixer with effects but no digital input from the TV , in this I will use digital converter, that explains just to confirm. Thanks
sounds right. Check this video as it might help: th-cam.com/video/oJNiT4k9th0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-EMI_8xXf7J159wG

Did you set the PCM settings correctly?
I love how you answer everyones questions! I’m new to this. I have a Sonos Beam sound bar with only 1 HDMI input. It’s currently connected to the HDMI arc on my smartTV. I have the mixer from amazon with the HDMI ports. What would be the best way to set this up?
Hi. This is quite tricky. You soundbar does not have an optical input at all?
Same problem with sonos beam 2. I think we need to change our soundbar. Or maybe Sir can help us on how to figure it out. Thanks in advance
