- Hey Lovelies! I finally came around to transforming my closet from the basic builder grade closet to.... a pretty yet super affordable closet using all things from IKEA!
Aurdal is a BRAND NEW wardrobe system that honestly has such an easy planner tool, and simple assembly! Hope that you will find this video helpful if you're also planning on updating your closet or are interested in the new system!
In this video I also compare some of features of both the IKEA PAX and AURDAL to help you choose between the two!

Thank you for the video. It’s very helpful. Could you tell me how long the legs are on these units? It’s a little too tall for my room.
I think that patching up the holes and painting the whole system, then adding the hardware to the drawers would elevate this more, and give it more high end look.

I was wondering how to deal with corners in the closet since this system doesn't have a corner peice
So I’m guessing they haven’t rolled this out to all of their stores yet because it’s out of stock at all but a handful of US locations in all configurations and both colors. When did they introduce this product?

I love to see this system in a larger closet. Beautiful!! I installed Aurdal in my small walk-in for my husband in July. I couldn’t find any videos on them either and had planned on making a video as well. lol! I was lucky to catch it when it was brand new I guess because my local Ikea had everything I needed. I purchased the dark gray and he loves it! I think it looks really nice and the dark color is perfect. I have a PAX in my small walk-in.

It looks nice but you should change your hangers to all black suede fabric hangers to make the overall look stand out and really look glam. Great job though. Luv it.

one of the things worth mentioning is that the aurdal is designed to fit into an old style wardrobe with the pony walls coming from the ceiling because the depth isn't as deep as the pax system. pax is designed for wardrobe rooms like you have. but won't work for existing standard american closets with the old bifold doors

can you comment on if its sturdy?...like if you were to wiggle it hard, is there any movement?
Mine is pretty sturdy. It’s hooked to the suspension rod. So if you install it well, your unit shouldn’t move.
I picked up a tv stand at that same penguin pickup location in Richmond Hill just a month back.

not at the moment, they don't have that option
First of all so glad you did this video it makes it so helpful to us who can’t find anything related to this. Do you happen to know if the legs at the bottom are needed? Also if you don’t mind the height without the legs I’m trying my best to make it work for my closet 🙄

No one is gonna mention how HARD this is to assemble? LMFAO. Ive done a lot of Ikea builds but man this one really tested my patience!
How long did it take you?
@@JohnJohn-gq6gs a couple hours for one and the second was larger so half a day. Not hard really just time consuming. They came out awesome thou! I LOVE the ability to add drawers and shelves later.
Thank for you for making this video! I’m debating between the Elvarli or Aurdal, and noticed that the depth of the Aurdal is 15” and the Elvarli is 21”. Will the Aurdal fit my hanging shirts on the rod? My shirts are approx 22” wide. Help :)
No problem! It will stick out a bit, i've placed my husband's shirts in before. I don't mind the look of it sticking out a bit, but if you do, it's probably safer to choose one that's deeper.
I initially purchased the Elvarli system in March and after months of hell, I discovered and made the switch to the Aurdal. It is much easier to install than the Elvarli and much more flexible with space if you’re installing in an enclosed space.
Did you guys find your screws for the rails included or did you buy your own?
i believe they were included
We had to buy our own, they weren’t included

there is a kiosk in the store to drag and drop items into it and show the dimensions of what you've built. May also be online.
Thanks for sharing - nowhere on the IKEA site can I find any information about the depth of the wardrobe when a drawer is open. Any chance you could measure yours from the wall to the front of the drawer the next time you open one? This mama would be super appreciative since I don't live close to an IKEA AT ALL! TIA!

I assembled this and the assembly was a pain in the ass. All the little pieces are individually wrapped. IKEA could have done a much better job on this one
