- The John Cooper Works edition is the fastest machine MINI has ever built. With a 228 two-liter twin turbo motor, it can hit 0 to 60 in six seconds flat with a top speed of 152 mph.

It's not a twin-turbo engine. Its a single turbo "twinpower" (marketing name for their combination of variable lift, variable valve timing, and twin scroll turbo).
IT DOESNT HAVE TWIN TURBOS GENIUS ITS A TWIN SCROLL😂
It’d be like 300hp+ if truly twin turbo
Technology amazes me 😱👌
My wife's 2022 MINI Countryman is 'twin turbo', if you're going to call a twin scroll turbo a 'twin'. LOL, she has a TWIN TURBO 3 cylinder, that manages to produce an astounding 138 horsepower!
Twin turbo 😂
It's a twin scroll lol
I used to build diesel engines for Leyland Truck and Bus back in the late 70s on a moving assembly line, it was all done by hand.
Where is the "This is How" part?
This video doesn't really explain anything at all. :/
Well this explains the concept of how they do it. Were you not paying attention?
Narrator had a loooong pause after mentioning twin-turbo motor, as if he was thinking *are you sure this is right?*
Wow
people get sad af when you explain how their engine isnt twin turbo'd xD
It’s a twin power turbo not twin turbo but yeah
Since Toyota has a partnership with BMW they can use this engine for a performance Corolla HB and sedan combined with a 6 speed manual. It should be called T-Sport, the Rolla will be faster than the Mini Cooper S but not faster than the JCW, to avoid any controversy i would use the 190hp configutation.
Fuel vedo engine replacement
A minor correction at :50. It’s not a motor. It’s an engine. Motors are usually electric driven. Engines are driven by internal combustion.
Wow, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I didn't mean any offence to anyone and definitely not personally at you. I just wanted to offer a helpful correction but apparently that really pissed you off somehow and made you resort to foul language. Good day to you.
Besides if you actually want to get particular about the word choice, an engine is a type of motor. Therefore engines are also motors.
wow 228 is a lot of hb loool
The potential of this engine is rather high. 300 to 315hp output is normal nowadays
Now at 306hp
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thumbs Down ... for not knowing the difference between a motor and an engine!
Boring robots everywhere..
how to make an unreliable engine
Actually the b38 and b48 engines have very few problems. Mostly programming and small evap defects from known component failures. It's the last gen n12 and n18's that are more prone to failure.
Funny how a turbo Volvo b230 or a h22 would eat this engine alive...
