He was hugely popular in the French speaking world and inspired many singers in 1980s. He was also a part of the original cast of the rock opera Starmania in 1978, which was written by Michael Berger, his closed friend. That’s was when Sos song was born. Then in 2004 great French singer Gregory Lemarchal performed SOS beautifully. What is incredible, he has cystic fibrosis and performed this song excellent! He was hospitalized many times, because CF. Doctors warned Gregory that singing will deteriorate his sick lungs, but singing was his life. He past away of CF at the age 23, on April 23 2007. He wants to sing what he sings etc. and not be channeled into a category or genre, which most want him to do. He is very well know in Asia, Eurasia, and Russia, and has won top music awards in China and Russia. He is starting to be more known in Europe and the USA, but is doing it entirely with his "own team," and in his own time frame. He was on tour in Europe and Eurasia when the pandemic started, and has cancelled most of those concerts at this point. He did have his first solo concert in the USA at Barclay's Center in NY, in December 2019. The concert was sold out, and attended by people from 63 different countries. I was at that concert, and it is something else to hear him sing live. Videos don't even come close to what you hear, and feel listening and seeing him live. Continue your journey with Dimash. A man from Kazakhstan singing a French song on a Chinese reality show - yes you are right , his French pronunciation was a little off on this performance. He corrected these errors in his later performances. Once in a blue moon, someone of Dimash's magnitude comes along and blows us all away and all we can do is just sit back and enjoy !! I understand your surprise. I just learned about Dimash a few days ago, and now I feel like I've been living in a cave. I've watched dozens of reaction videos now because I'm hooked. While I'm not a vocalist, one thing I notice about the way he sings is how he embodies the song, especially with his right hand. Watch the way he anticipates with his hand where the song is going next. It's almost like he rehearses it physically just before he sings it. Also (since you speak French) notice how his soprano voice accompanies certain passages in the libretto where the sentiment soars. It is not empty pyrotechnics. There is a semantic purpose to everything he does - sound and sense working together.

A lot of people who discover him wonder why they've never heard about him before, but it makes it fun for those of us who love Dimash and get to see new people react to him so thanks. Bonjour, Dimash est né au Kazakhstan, il parle donc Kazakhi et russe. Il apprend l'anglais et le chinois. Il chante en 12 langues, joue de 7 instruments de musique et surfe sur 6 octaves. Il a appris cette chanson on phonétique, il l'a rechantée plusieurs fois ensuite et son français s'est amélioré. People not having heard about Dimash tells u about the sorry state of the music industry. He doesn't fit their boxes and can't be controlled like they are used to. So guess what? I think every one of us can remember the day and the moment we first heard Dimash. He has a range of more than 6 octaves and there has never, in recorded history been another male singer in any genre with this range and timbre. Two female singers - the late Peruvian singer Yma Sumac had 9 octaves ( you will see some places saying 4, or 6, but that’s because she was only using four or six of them in the song she was singing). The other is the now elderly Ewa Podles who was comfortable singing in three or four octaves, but had a range of 7. So I knew immediately, that I couldn’t stop listening to Dimash. In fact I had instantly compared him to Yma Sumac, because I had ever heard anyone do what she did since I was six or seven years old, when I first heard her. I have all his CD's and most of his earlier stuff was in Chinese and his native language Kazakh which is OK because his voice is better than any lyrics anyway. If you like Queen listen to "Show must go on" and the Queen medley he does with the the vocal boys in 2018 on the Chinese show... I am a singer. He sings in 12 languages and speaks 4. This song "SOS" is from a French opera.The man that made it famous has since passed, but Dimash gives him omage in his concert here in NY city. He loves Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Queen and many greats..check it out...He talks a good bit also and we get to know him better. I still browse the music videos of Dimash from time to time to see what still store in there. I’m just wondering how much effort and strength Dimash had invested into it and to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that he had. Indeed it is really a great work. Song of Dimash in French “S.O.S D’UN TERRIEN EN DETRESSE” (Ester Rabi’s Commentary & Reflection on this song: I like this music because it reminds me the Truth, Realities and Precariousness of Human Life particularly Suffering and Death) STORY BEHIND THE SONG: Credit to Daniel Balavoine the original artist of this song who had a sudden death in a helicopter accident in 1986. Later, it was covered by Gregory Lemarchal, a young French singer who inspired Dimash to sing “SOS d'un terrien en detresse” who at all odds won the 4th series Reality TV Program Star Academy, despite his failing health and became an overnight success in France but had a shorter career, for he died young with his unusual illness of Cystic Fibrosis in 2007 at the age of 23. Recently it was unbelievably covered by Dimash and from time to time Dimash sung it in memory of his great friend Denis Ten an Olympic figure skater from Kazakhstan who was stabbed after a dispute with people who allegedly tried to steal a mirror from his car in his home city of Almaty. He died of massive blood loss from multiple wounds at the age of 25 in 2018. That is why this song is sad mention in some of the lyrics…A soul’s plea for help or an earthly being in distress. . Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our human life’s , but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith. For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life: 1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discern well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity or a means of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with great humility and discernment. Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed up of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand. Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God. Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. Likewise, if we are open to grace it helps us become vulnerable, sensitive and compassionate to others. The hope of heaven gives us joy even in the sufferings of this life. In God’s plan, human beings were created for holiness and eternal life with him. But through the original sin that enters into human lives, our nature has been wounded, and we experience suffering and death. This was not part of God’s original plan, but it is part of the reality of our human lives now. Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives, and we will face God’s judgment. Death creates in us a feelings and emotion of fear, separation, sadness and pain. Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end, we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension. The truth is… in front of death we are all poor and powerless on it. If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. But In God’s plan, however, death is not the end of everything, but the border that enables every human being to enter the endless place of eternity. For all those who have done their best to respond to God’s grace, to die is to cross from an imperfect type of existence into a new and fuller life lived in God’s presence. Often we feel the greatest misfortunes, when death struck in a person, depriving him or her greatest treasures a person can possess which is life itself. Death is such a peaceful event in our life if we die in the state of grace, meaning if we died reconciled with God and at peace with others. Death is the end of our earthly life. Our lives are measured by time, as with all other living beings on earth. Yes, how have you never heard of Dimash? It's great that you speak French and can actually understand the words. Last time I heard Dimash sing in English, it wasn't great, but I've been trying to learn Spanish for years and am barely past asking the time of day. Any language he sings in, he gives me goosebumps. Hello! Merci pour ta réaction! SOS est une des chansons françaises les plus difficiles à chanter. Elle a été écrite par Luke Plamondon pour le musical StarMania. Interprétée originalement par Daniel Bellavoine et reprise plus récemment par Gregory Lemarchal. Les deux sont décédés tragiquement très jeunes. Dimash, après cette competitions a rechanté SOS plusieurs fois, il l’a chante encore dans ses concerts, et a corrigé le ris et vis depuis!!! Il ne parle pas du tout français et a donc appris cette chanson de façon phonetique. Ce concours auquel il participait s’appelle “singer 2017”. Dimash a 13 autres chansons qu’il a interprétées durant ce concours, où il a fini 2e. Tous pensent que les chinois devaient avoir un des leurs en première place... mais il est devenu numéro 1 dans le cœurs des chinois et a fait beaucoup de concerts la, ainsi qu’en Russie. Dimash est devenu populaire grâce à TH-cam et Weibo, la version chinoise de TH-cam. Il ne chante pas sous une compagnie, parce qu’il veut garder le droit de faire ce qu’il désire. Un de ses grands rêves était de chanter à NY, et il l’a réalisé en Décembre dernier, où il a chanté au Barclay Center, avec tous les sièges vendus, les gens venant de 64 pays différents pour l’écouter. You just seen a small part of his abilities - and that is not a joke. He is known for combining different singing styles. This song is from a french/canadian rock opera from the mid -70's written by Michel Berger named Starmania. The original singer of this song is Daniel Balavoine that got very popular with this song as he performed it so beautifully and emotionally. He died in a helicopter crash in the mid 80's . You can also find Daniel Balavoine's original version here on youtube so you can compare. Dimash has cleaned it up tecnically and added more dimensions to it.

I suppose you haven’t heard of him bcz he is from country that was part of USSR before. So his main languages are Kazakh and Russian. Now he speaks pretty fluently English and Mandarin but still with accent. Since we don’t know those languages we just enjoy his voice. And don’t care about pronunciations. We Just use transcripts of lyrics

SOS song was original written for Daniel Balavoine also known as “French Chayanne”, French singer and songwriter. He was hugely popular in the French speaking world and inspired many singers in 1980s. He was also a part of the original cast of the rock opera Starmania in 1978, which was written by Michael Berger, his closed friend. That’s was when Sos song was born. Then in 2004 great French singer Gregory Lemarchal performed SOS beautifully. What is incredible, he has cystic fibrosis and performed this song excellent! He was hospitalized many times, because CF. Doctors warned Gregory that singing will deteriorate his sick lungs, but singing was his life. He past away of CF at the age 23, on April 23 2007. Then in 2017 great Dimash, in memory of Gregory Lemarchal performed SOS on The Singer contest in China. I am a huge admirer of Dimash, I'm just tired of the same old repetitive comments being posted. It's like 15-20 Dimash fans actively search out every Dimash video posted and make the same comments on each.
@@HughJaxident67 Dimash fans flood comments. It shows a very dedicated fan base to the artist, as well as brings lots of positivity to every video. They are kind and respectful, but also benefit in video likes and engagement. they are informative and generally very complimentary.

He wants to sing what he sings etc. and not be channeled into a category or genre, which most want him to do. He is very well know in Asia, Eurasia, and Russia, and has won top music awards in China and Russia. He is starting to be more known in Europe and the USA, but is doing it entirely with his "own team," and in his own time frame. He was on tour in Europe and Eurasia when the pandemic started, and has cancelled most of those concerts at this point. He did have his first solo concert in the USA at Barclay's Center in NY, in December 2019. The concert was sold out, and attended by people from 63 different countries. I was at that concert, and it is something else to hear him sing live. Videos don't even come close to what you hear, and feel listening and seeing him live. Continue your journey with Dimash. He sings every genre of music, and will continue to surprise and shock you.
A man from Kazakhstan singing a French song on a Chinese reality show - yes you are right , his French pronunciation was a little off on this performance. He corrected these errors in his later performances. Once in a blue moon, someone of Dimash's magnitude comes along and blows us all away and all we can do is just sit back and enjoy !! I've given up looking for superlatives to describe Dimash - tried for 3 years and still can't articulate it ! I understand your surprise. I just learned about Dimash a few days ago, and now I feel like I've been living in a cave. I've watched dozens of reaction videos now because I'm hooked. While I'm not a vocalist, one thing I notice about the way he sings is how he embodies the song, especially with his right hand. Watch the way he anticipates with his hand where the song is going next. It's almost like he rehearses it physically just before he sings it. Also (since you speak French) notice how his soprano voice accompanies certain passages in the libretto where the sentiment soars. It is not empty pyrotechnics. There is a semantic purpose to everything he does - sound and sense working together.

Dimash was kind of a dark horse they brought in. No one really knew him except in his country where he won many awards. He began his singing training a 3,. He has had a formal classical education to say the least. He has a 6 octave range. He also plays several instruments such as the piano, which he began at 2 years of age, the drums, guitar, and several more. He has writen a few of his songs. His mother and father were singers in Kazakhstan and his father is also a music producer. He got his high range from his mother. What Dimash can do with his voice is nothing short of miraculous. And as well, he is kind, intelligent and deeply loyal to his country. He calls his fans his "Dears' They range from children to people ln their 70s and older! Everyone loves Dimash.

Welcome to the world of Dimash There's no one who sings like him. A lot of people who discover him wonder why they've never heard about him before, but it makes it fun for those of us who love Dimash and get to see new people react to him so thanks. Any song will be surprising but "Sinful Passion" really shows off his voice. "Screaming" his official music video is astounding as is his live version of it. He does all the vocals and the instruments in the music video and it's incredible. The duet he does with Yugang "Drunken Concubine and Diva Dance" is incredible. Enjoy! Bonjour, Dimash est né au Kazakhstan, il parle donc Kazakhi et russe. Il apprend l'anglais et le chinois. Il chante en 12 langues, joue de 7 instruments de musique et surfe sur 6 octaves. Il a appris cette chanson on phonétique, il l'a rechantée plusieurs fois ensuite et son français s'est amélioré. Pour ma part j'aimerais beaucoup chanter en Kazakhi aussi bien qu'il chante en français.

People not having heard about Dimash tells u about the sorry state of the music industry. He doesn't fit their boxes and can't be controlled like they are used to. So guess what? Dimash is such a once-in-a-lifetime talent that, thank God, the music industry will have to eventually bend for Dimash as we don't need them to enjoy his brilliance. And that's a good thing! Peace!!
I never like the music now if they call that a music, when Dimash comes, my sense of music alive again, thanks God, and thanks Dimash.
I think every one of us can remember the day and the moment we first heard Dimash. He has a range of more than 6 octaves and there has never, in recorded history been another male singer in any genre with this range and timbre.
Two female singers - the late Peruvian singer Yma Sumac had 9 octaves ( you will see some places saying 4, or 6, but that’s because she was only using four or six of them in the song she was singing).
The other is the now elderly Ewa Podles who was comfortable singing in three or four octaves, but had a range of 7.
So I knew immediately, that I couldn’t stop listening to Dimash. In fact I had instantly compared him to Yma Sumac, because I had ever heard anyone do what she did since I was six or seven years old, when I first heard her. You are right...best voice in the universe EVER !!! Some say he is an alien, but I think he is possessed by an angel... I first heard him in Oct 2018, been hooked ever since. I have all his CD's and most of his earlier stuff was in Chinese and his native language Kazakh which is OK because his voice is better than any lyrics anyway. If you like Queen listen to "Show must go on" and the Queen medley he does with the the vocal boys in 2018 on the Chinese show... I am a singer. He sings in 12 languages and speaks 4. This song "SOS" is from a French opera.The man that made it famous has since passed, but Dimash gives him omage in his concert here in NY city. You see his photo along with other great voices in the background. He loves Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Queen and many greats..check it out...He talks a good bit also and we get to know him better. He is a humanitarian, humble, kind, generous, respectful, loyal to his country and family. He is the Kazakh ambassador. Check out "My Heart will go on" (Titanic) in 2018 at an award show....GET READY FOR A GREAT RIDE...you have a lot of catching up to do!!! I subscribed. Give me a thumbs up if you read my comment. My heartfelt gratitude to the reactors worldwide and commentators of this channel for your great help and service, so that artists can improve and or develop their talents and gifts at their best in order to serve better the listening public.
I still browse the music videos of Dimash from time to time to see what still store in there. I’m just wondering how much effort and strength Dimash had invested into it and to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that he had. Indeed it is really a great work. How he was able to develop such a heights of his talents is really admirable and worth learning. And it is much more beautiful because he sang it by heart, naturally and at his heart’s content with joyful disposition.
The discipline, dedication and high ideals in pursuing his singing career to the best of his ability the best he can is worth imitating not only in our individual professional fields but also in living our day to day life. Hope his listeners around the world especially the young will learn something from his optimistic views in pursuing his career, his persistency, creativity and perseverance. His labors and hard work are now indeed bearing fruits in abundance. And so my heartfelt congratulations to Dimash and to his family and all others who supported him all the way through as a musician. For me as a listener it counts a lot the personal disposition of the artist and the content of its music.
The power and beauty of his voice is so incredible even at his lowest and highest notes. Also the fact that, he is able to sing his music with ease and comfort in different languages and in various voices is really amazing. But some others also cannot handle and cannot even believe the power, the strength and the heights of his voice…and they said oooh… is Dimash human..?
I think It’s just a natural reaction that people wonder and probably surprise by it or cannot even believed it at all, it’s because it is beyond human expectation. But I believed and I’m convinced that Dimash 20 year’s cultivation of his voice and talents is no tricks and no magic at all; though he is gifted but his hard work and years of practice and experiences proves it to us and to the world … that indeed it is possible.
My other concern whenever I listen to music is that, I usually ask: WHAT MESSAGE THIS MUSIC BRINGS ..? TO THE WORLD..? TO PEOPLE..?
Although Dimash music are very good, full of content and meaning but I like most this music, because for me it speaks a message of truth, values and realities of human life. I feel that, it is not just enough to give my thumbs up to like this music, but I’m deeply moved to share something more about the richness and deeper meaning of it.
With due respect to the composers, writers and singers of these music for whatever their purpose and intention would be, will always take precedence. The thoughts that I will be sharing below about these music is only the fruits of my personal reflections based on the things that I highly valued and on how I perceived it myself and the message of this song that reaches out to me.

Song of Dimash in French “S.O.S D’UN TERRIEN EN DETRESSE”
(Ester Rabi’s Commentary & Reflection on this song: I like this music because it reminds me the Truth, Realities and Precariousness of Human Life particularly Suffering and Death)
STORY BEHIND THE SONG: Credit to Daniel Balavoine the original artist of this song who had a sudden death in a helicopter accident in 1986. Later, it was covered by Gregory Lemarchal, a young French singer who inspired Dimash to sing “SOS d'un terrien en detresse” who at all odds won the 4th series Reality TV Program Star Academy, despite his failing health and became an overnight success in France but had a shorter career, for he died young with his unusual illness of Cystic Fibrosis in 2007 at the age of 23. Recently it was unbelievably covered by Dimash and from time to time Dimash sung it in memory of his great friend Denis Ten an Olympic figure skater from Kazakhstan who was stabbed after a dispute with people who allegedly tried to steal a mirror from his car in his home city of Almaty. He died of massive blood loss from multiple wounds at the age of 25 in 2018. That is why this song is sad mention in some of the lyrics…A soul’s plea for help or an earthly being in distress. .
Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our human life’s , but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith.
For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life: 1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discern well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity or a means of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with great humility and discernment.
Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed up of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand. Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God.
Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. Likewise, if we are open to grace it helps us become vulnerable, sensitive and compassionate to others. It sharpens our awareness that this earth is not our permanent and true home. We should remember that we are only strangers and pilgrims on this earth” St. Paul reminded us that “the sufferings of this present time are nothing to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us later.
Suffering purifies and refines us of any life’s superficiality into an authentic one. Though no one really is actively searching for suffering in his / her life, but honestly truth compels us to admit that sufferings do have a great value in our life and by experiencing it personally in reality, you will never be the same person. The hope of heaven gives us joy even in the sufferings of this life. In God’s plan, human beings were created for holiness and eternal life with him. But through the original sin that enters into human lives, our nature has been wounded, and we experience suffering and death. This was not part of God’s original plan, but it is part of the reality of our human lives now.
Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives, and we will face God’s judgment. Death creates in us a feelings and emotion of fear, separation, sadness and pain. Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end, we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension. The truth is… in front of death we are all poor and powerless on it.
If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. But In God’s plan, however, death is not the end of everything, but the border that enables every human being to enter the endless place of eternity. For all those who have done their best to respond to God’s grace, to die is to cross from an imperfect type of existence into a new and fuller life lived in God’s presence. Often we feel the greatest misfortunes, when death struck in a person, depriving him or her greatest treasures a person can possess which is life itself. Death is such a peaceful event in our life if we die in the state of grace, meaning if we died reconciled with God and at peace with others.
Death is the end of our earthly life. Our lives are measured by time, as with all other living beings on earth. Since it is unknown to all of us the time of our death, therefore, it is best that we should prepare at all times, otherwise we are being caught by surprise of not being ready when God comes to take us to be with Him forever in our eternal home in bliss.

Yes, how have you never heard of Dimash? It's great that you speak French and can actually understand the words. Last time I heard Dimash sing in English, it wasn't great, but I've been trying to learn Spanish for years and am barely past asking the time of day. Any language he sings in, he gives me goosebumps. He is a world treasure and I hope he has a very long career sharing his gift with the world - it seems fame and fortune crush some, yet others learn to live with the pressures of life on the world stage.

Hello! Merci pour ta réaction! SOS est une des chansons françaises les plus difficiles à chanter. Elle a été écrite par Luke Plamondon pour le musical StarMania. Interprétée originalement par Daniel Bellavoine et reprise plus récemment par Gregory Lemarchal. Les deux sont décédés tragiquement très jeunes. Dimash, après cette competitions a rechanté SOS plusieurs fois, il l’a chante encore dans ses concerts, et a corrigé le ris et vis depuis!!! Il ne parle pas du tout français et a donc appris cette chanson de façon phonetique.
Ce concours auquel il participait s’appelle “singer 2017”. Dimash a 13 autres chansons qu’il a interprétées durant ce concours, où il a fini 2e. Tous pensent que les chinois devaient avoir un des leurs en première place... mais il est devenu numéro 1 dans le cœurs des chinois et a fait beaucoup de concerts la, ainsi qu’en Russie. Dimash est devenu populaire grâce à TH-cam et Weibo, la version chinoise de TH-cam. Il ne chante pas sous une compagnie, parce qu’il veut garder le droit de faire ce qu’il désire. Un de ses grands rêves était de chanter à NY, et il l’a réalisé en Décembre dernier, où il a chanté au Barclay Center, avec tous les sièges vendus, les gens venant de 64 pays différents pour l’écouter. Il était au milieu d’un grand tour en Europe quand le virus l’a arrêté.

He has a active and all way though strong more than 6 octave range and is classically trained since age 5 which means 20 years of training. You just seen a small part of his abilities - and that is not a joke. He is known for combining different singing styles. Despite not following the mainstream music and having nearly no PR he managed to gather a fanbase counting millions litteraly from all arrond the world and is filling stadiums and big concert halls in Asia and Europe and last December he sold out the Barcley Center in New York as his first concert in the US. He is Kazakh, singing in China, Mother was opera singer, Father music director. Trained for 20 years, so far. Birthday coming up the 24th of May, I think, will be 26.He has been working on his pronunciation of French, English, etc. Plays many instruments. I don't know where he gets the time. Listen to his more recent SOS for "proper" pronunciation. Dimash is incredible. That's all.

This song is from a french/canadian rock opera from the mid -70's written by Michel Berger named Starmania. The original singer of this song is Daniel Balavoine that got very popular with this song as he performed it so beautifully and emotionally. He died in a helicopter crash in the mid 80's . You can also find Daniel Balavoine's original version here on youtube so you can compare. Dimash has cleaned it up tecnically and added more dimensions to it.

I suppose you haven’t heard of him bcz he is from country that was part of USSR before. So his main languages are Kazakh and Russian. Now he speaks pretty fluently English and Mandarin but still with accent. Since we don’t know those languages we just enjoy his voice. And don’t care about pronunciations. We Just use transcripts of lyrics
