Here's the explanation: on where William said "our souls are tied" go to Hailey's alt/backup account and go to 12:16 on part 2 of Elizabeth and Michael switch bodies for 24 hours. You can see there that both of Williams and Michaels eyes turn purple(a random example form a vid) that means William and Michael are so close not to mention and the fact Michael and is kinda becoming like his father that thier souls are tied(that's what I understood) And I think is mostly because of being close cuz there eyes started turning purple in old vids before Michael started becoming like William. If u didn't understand that part I'm glad I helped^^
