      Sorry to hear that...I just got all my outdoor clothes back from a co called insect shield where the pressure soak and wash and it's good for nearly a year vs. The 2-3 week sprays over the counter...it really works and ticks are all but non existent when I return from the fields...

    Mike, another great video. You certainly find the best water and biggest brookies. Thanks for posting.

    I like the idea of the Net Man. I use the neodymium magnets and while they stay together quite well, they still pull apart if my net gets snagged on something while walking. I think the spring was just water getting forced under that rock nearer the falls and the bubbles coming out the other side. Beautiful stream and unbelievably beautiful and healthy fish.

    • @WoolyBugged
      @WoolyBugged  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ya I looked at that rock thinking the same thing but I don’t know. I’ve seen a lot of plunge pools with large rocks but never a boiling rock. Who knows ☺️

    My problem with the net man is that it falls out all the time. Walking any distance your calf or foot will bump the net causing it to fall out of the holster. They could fix this by making the metal piece that goes in the holster twice as long at a minimum.

    Great video! I was fishing the SNP on the same day, because wet wading is a great way to beat the heat. My Brookies were well-fed and a bit selective in what fly they would take: emergers a only.
    Kudos to you for not needing a wading staff. It’s my one piece of kit I absolutely need to wet wade.

    ....and wow - this net thing is exactly what I need! I find nets awkward to deal with when you're hiking through the woods to get from pool to pool.

    Just got my Net Man on friday! Cant wait to put it to use at camp this weekend. Maybe ill cross paths with you one of the days,my camp is along little kettle between ole bull and Cherry Springs. I rarely fish the stockies i just can get enough of all the tribs and catching those sweet little natives.

      Those actually aren’t wading pants, they are just a performance pant from Eddie Bower. Nothing fancy but they are quick dry which is key.

    The concept of a net is that it is available for any fish not manageable by hand ---- seems like all these guys tromping around with their high dollar gear think they need a net on them anytime they go fish. not sure what fool started this trend but there is absolutely no need for a net catching those little brookies, just wet your hands and be gentle with em.
