Hello! I found this 13 years later but Im Anthony Gonzalez the kid in the video. My mom and dad helped with the training video. 13 years later and Im completely fine, no trachea, no feeding tube and I feel normal. Im glad I was an example and its still shown till this day.
The woman helping with the actual in-field portion of training when confronting care for the trach in real situations is quite good at her job in her line of work. Her voice is relaxing and she is doing a great service. I respect that.
hi star. so I believe the reason for doing CPR first is to give the brain oxygen/blood asap. the longer the brain goes without blood, the greater the chance of brain death (i believe the time is 6 minutes). so, perfuse the brain first with oxygen, then call 911 quickly, then go back to CPR (perfusing the brain). another way to think of it is like being underwater. if the person is underwater, we dont want to call 911 first, then bring them up for air. we want to bring them up to get some air, then call 911. i hope this makes sense. let me know if it doesnt
@@ricardopalma3714 call 911 after confirmed no pulse ,start CPR while on phone with 911.. never leave your patient alone...better chance of survival... 911 will arrive sooner.
The correct answer is: 1. Call 911 first IF YOU WITNESS THE COLLAPSE. 2. INITIATE CPR FIRST ...IF YOU FOUND THE PERSON UNRESPONSIVE. REASONING IS, YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG THEY HAVE BEEN THAT WAY. AFTER 2 MINUTES, CALL 911. WITH INFANTS BAGGING IS THE MOST CRUCIAL. WITH CHILDREN AND ADULTS EFFECTIVE COMPRESSIONS ARE MOST CRUCIAL. You can call 911 and bag simultaneously so that you don't haven't to wait so long.

That's a cute ventilator!!!!!! I love ventilators! !!!!!!!!!!
Such a bizarre thing to say considering what its used for
What an idiot! Lou John is so very right ... what exactly is it about them that makes them so cute? Obviously we're missing something!
Jennifer U. this might be a stretch but i'm thinking about painting my ventilator so maybe that's what she's referring to? i dont know
I've been on a ventilator and have a trache scar. I don't wish it on any one. But that Newport ventilator is cute. I have a retired one as a pet.
But it may not be best to put that on here.
Thenkes my bather sister
