In conjunction with the Black Indians from New Orleans exhibition, an international colloquium to understand and pay tribute to the untold stories of African Americans in Louisiana.
This symposium aims to discuss and celebrate the history of African Americans in Louisiana from the early days of New France to the present. Through lectures, discussions and open exchange, this symposium will explore many aspects of this trajectory in the historical, cultural and artistic fields.
