Reversing the clip was annoying because the spacer spun like yours but I didn’t have to disassemble the whole thing. I had a skinny needle nose I grabbed the spacer with. I used a little paper towel in the jaws to prevent scratching. My screwdriver has a cross hole in it and I did need to stick a rod through it for enough leverage.
Nice one. I love to have a better choice than the CJRB pyrite wharnie. And this is a really better knife : materials, design (to me), USA made, locking system...
Nice knife for Kershaw. Being Lefty as well I agree with the clip marking. I wish that companies who offer reverse clips leave it off for you to install which side you want. I have many knives I left as right handed because of the mark. Mostly cause the mark on Titanium is more noticeable.
Love hearing you put that boy to work! 100% agree this one you buy to use. I was a little disappointed that they are only offering white scales as of now. Im sure they will release different colors and blade finishes after I've bought it, but white just doesn't scream work knife. I have a feeling kershaw is about to be back in the game as far as bangers made in the US. I think they have been behind on what the community wants. Im hoping because Kershaw was my first brand 15 years ago.
You should try the magnetic detent on that Kershaw. I just put magnets in my Vosteed Daschuand and all i can say is damn. Also did it on my titanium Kizer Cormorant and it totally put that knife on the next level
@@Chrissalak all you have to do is take 1 scale off and super glue the magnets in on each scale. I like a strong detent to I ended up adding 2 magnets to each scale, but to be honest 1 magnet on each scale is enough. I tested that out before adding the other 2. I ordered the magnets from K@J magnets
Hopefully closer to the 63 side. The coating could be why the extra window. Coatings remove a point usually because the blade is heated up again to apply it. Interesting though
I like the blade better on the hogue mysto and it’s obviously got those beautiful scales but it’s well over $300! That’s just too expensive for me to walk around and go to work with, which is why I’d buy it. This Kershaw I can buy and use without worrying so much about if I beat it up or lose it. I think the Deka is now the closer competitor being around $165 with cpm 20cv but that’s with g10 or “g mascus” scales. I don’t have an axis lock knife yet so I have been looking for one but there’s really not many great choices, some good ones but this kershaw is the best I can come up with off hand. If it was available without the black coated blade I’d already be on the pre order but I hate coated blades, they just look cheap to me. I don’t understand how manufacturers don’t see this, go to any site and look at the most popular blades, all of the satin variants are sold out while the coated blades are always available.
- Blade length of the Kershaw Bel Air is 3 inches. - Remember blade length is a “straight line extending from the tip of the blade to the forward-most aspect of the hilt or handle”. - At about $150-$165 the Kershaw Bel Air handily beats the Benchmade 945 at $207. - Both have Aluminum scales, thumb stud opening and ambidextrous crossbar lock. - Bel Air has the superior MagnaCut steel over the 945’s S30V.
It’s a great looking knife at a good price. That blade shape is my preference too. I don’t understand why Benchmade hasn’t made a Bugout with that blade shape.
This is the big release for the 15th or the Launch 16? Maybe both. Really like how it performed with the "choppy cuts". Wouldnt mind getting the Launch to my Mexican address.
I really really hate that super ultra deep carry pocket clip that extends beyond the end of its handle and also that it's not inset into the handle. News flash, it doesn't matter how deep carry a knifes pocket clip is because as long as you have a pocket clip attached to your pocket, it's obvious that you have a pocket knife on you👍 If you want to be really discrete, unclip your pocket knife from your pocket and let it sit at the bottom of your pocket.

I can't help the fact that you don't understand the concept that deep carry pocket clips are not going to fool people into not thinking you don't have a pocket knife on you. Ultra deep carry pocket clip that extended past the end of a pocket knifes handle are just ridiculous and serve no real functional purpose👍

Belair holds the bearings inside the blade, not inside the frame and it has washers over the bearings... This brings to blade play very fast and thats a bad design, not for a 140$ knife. Just because of that ill go with bugout. This is a bad designed knife...

Grabbed one from dlt today. Super shocked to see a USA made Magnacut knife for under $200
I so very much want this knife. I have the iridium, and Kershaw did an awesome job with their bar lock. They made a warnclff Iridium as well.

Now in May 2024 they say HRC 62-64 on their site.

This all day. Deka never worked for me ergonomically
This vs Hogue Deka Magnacut + OG scales/AWT Scales which ends up being about the same price
Problem is the Deka has the worst ergonomics for me
