RIP Johnny, nice collection. I was buying alot of Stones albums when the 2002 reissues were coming out and they do sound good. I have the mono box set for alot of the early stuff but would rather have the cds like u
Johnny would dig this , you know that …listening to you talk on each album n the knowledge of music is special as I can hear Johnny talking …sticky fingers ( what can I say ) SWAY…wild horses ( means a lot ,u know ..Let it bleed ( great album ) live album :get ur ya ya’s out -songs :stray cat blues ..sister morphine …memo from Turner …moonlight mile ..waiting on a friend..Drift away ( originally recorded by Doby Gray)….1994 Voodoo Lounge …I would be remiss without saying Sympathy for the devil ..midnight rambler ..gimme Shelter..Shine a light …I could go on & on ..but I’ll end with Johnny J. Until the next time We say Goodbye,I’ll be thinkin of u ..love ya Josie xoxo …great job Gar..johnny is proud of this n of you
High Tide & Green Grass was the first album with singing I ever bought. My dad, a classical musician, wouldn’t let me buy rock & roll music for years. The first album he let me buy was Walk Don’t Run #2 by the Ventures.
Great collection, man! I'm jealous. The Stones are my favorite and still rocking their asses off. Their No Filter tour that just ended at the end of 2021 was amazing. Like one review said, "This isn't them revisiting their greatness. This is the greatness." May they keep rolling!!
Young cats like you give me hope for the future of rock n roll. It is possible to get where you're going without knowing where you came from, but why the hell would you want to ?
Hey Gary, I've been looking at my Rolling Stones CD collection... I have the 2017 remaster of the album "Their Satanic Majesties Request" which has the Abkco Logo
Cool collection personally I prefer rolled gold to hot rocks but I guess it was the definitive Stones collection in UK,we didn't get hot rocks until 89 so possibly cause I lived with it so long. Although Rolled gold possibly has worst cover of all time which they apparently tried to out do when it got extended CD reissue!
My favorite Albums of all time Are (Not in any order) Let it Bleed/Get yer ya ya's out, Exile on main st. 12x5, Through the past& darkly, England's newest hit maker's, Undercover of the night, (especially side two) lol Some girls, Love You Live! Tattoo You, and Steel Wheels, Bill's last tour. 😊
.....So one month later dude calls me, btw he looked like a throwback from the first Woodstock. So My girl was with me& I invited him down, I was living in Fishtown, a sect. Of Philly @the time. Meanwhile I & my gf Spread out my entire Stones collection which covered my living room floor& both my couches and chairs, I had all original album covers sticky fingers & some girls later the reissues were painted on. I had all studio albums two bootleg albums where Jagger sang in french& german also I had original pictures framed. I had the 20th Anniversary package, with postcards of several tours, also a copy of Brian Jones last letter to the Stones. I had a shoebox of pin button's a shoebox of sew on patches. Four huge Flags eight hats I had Autographed albums from keef& Charlie, when they used to stay at philly's four seasons hotel Yep I waited hrs. Until they emerged. And the always jumped into a van tinted glass. Talk about diehard. 😂🎷🥁🎤🎶🎵🎼🎶🎺🎸🎙️🎸🥁 Well when dude came down I made a deal with him for my collection & it was ok that was in2006 I got tired of lugging it all around which I did for 38Yrs. I didn't feel like doing piece by piece on E-Bay. He was blown away by my collection I had everything. Drinking glasses with their name on it. Tour books from '72 to '89. Btw they were established circa1962& So was I, lol 🎸🎸🥁😂🤣👍😆 I miss Charlie & Bobby Keyes alot. Be kool 😊
The Stones are, by far, my favorite band and this was a great video to watch. RIP Uncle Johnny, you had great musical taste! With such a large discography it's hard to have everything but I would highly recommend some of the Vault releases, especially the Marquee release from early '71. I, myself, need a few of the latter day Vault releases especially since I saw them live for the first time on the Bridges to Babylon tour so I still need Bridges to Buenos Aires and Bridges to Bremen. What label was the Liver Than You'll Ever Be boot released on? Which video discusses your bootlegs?
LoL your long hair reminds me of when I was double dating with my younger brother with our gf's at the time & Out of the blue this dude walks over to our table I was wearing the 1981 Sold out tour shirt with the dragon leaping off JFK Stadium. I saw the Stones, open their U.S. tour there. In '81 anyway he says wow! Dude I'm a huge Rolling Stones fan my brother cut him off Smiling & Said Not as big as my brother. I said I'll let you see my collection some time, we exchanged numbers. I'll finish this shortly.......
@@JimB-xh7yw I shopped for there too and Tower books for Music Collector magazine. But my my all time favorite was Noise Pollution and chillin’ with Jack . What a great guy. He could be a bit grumpy at times but my wife Nancy and I loved him . May he R.I.P.
LMAO I'm from Philly, And I saw the Stones, open their U.S. Tour there in1981 with George Thorogood,& Journey with Steve Perry. There was 100,000 ppl there it was 80° nice weather. September 25&26. I & my younger brother saw them @Bridges to Babylon, Third row, up their with the Media... Blues Traveler, opened for them but We were looking for drinks when John Popper, was playing. LMAO 🤣🤣😆
I don't care what anyone says The Stones, Should've Wrapped it up, when Charlie, died. Steve Jordan, is ok he's just Not the 'Rock' like Charli e, was. Just listen to Sir Paul Mccartney. 🥁 😩
Honorable Mention: It's only rock-'n'-roll, aftermath, Flowers, hot rocks, more hot rocks, Flashpoint, menomorphis, beggar's banquet.... I Not a fan of Hackney Diamond's, it's a dud to me 'Angry, sounds like Start me up, it just doesn't work for me. I'm used to the barn burner's of raw, bluesy music..
Thanks for sharing your huge collection. Stones are my fave band. Seen them 18 times.
Thanks for watching! Check out my newest video where I review Hackney Diamonds

Worth searching for…..the rare 6-CD Japanese bootleg: Genuine Black Box 1961 - 1974 (Scorpio). A sumptuous, treasure trove of a compilation.

I have the 1973 kbfh shows from their 1973:euro tour and a live 1978 some girls tour from various sources

Love the channel, I’m from Philly as well so where do you shop to get your cds?
It was cool mentioning tower records I shopped at the one on South St
Just moved to NJ about a year ago. The cd scene in Philly really died, not much left there. I had to order online or take trips outside the city
