Yea I was talking to my friend who's played all the fire emblem like me and he asked why I'm into this more than previous ones (he's getting it on the switch lite so hasn't played yet) the characters are it. That and the fact that you have so much more control over developing your characters. I only got the first playthrough down (edelgard crimson path) yet i want to play the other paths to learn more about the world and characters. They really outdid themselves with this fire emblem. I will always have the nostalgia for the older games but this is my favorite fire emblem now.
This was my second game if you count the Warriors spinoff. Dear god, I’m glad I picked it up. My first playthroughs were with the Black Eagles, 2 Church, one regular... hit me like a truck... I didn’t want to kill them... despite all they did, I still saw friends inside. I then heard something about the golden deer that had me confused so I did it next. I was in utter shock. I am not only glad I picked up this game, but it easily rose above where P5 fell to and pierced its way into my top 5 favorite games ever, making me reevaluate my entire list. The game is a masterpiece.

I’m not complaining but. Couldn’t be just kinda Nice, if at the end you could get a little extra playtime to see how your characters new life with or without a married partner might look like? Just one or 2 extra Hours of playtime to see it all Fall into place and peace? At the end of my first playthrough. I don’t know if this Can alter but. For me Casper ended up marrying Petra (wich. I kinda shipped those 2 so i kinda wanted to see it happen) Ferdinand ended up marrying with Dorothea and me with Bernadetta ofcourse. None of this should count as a spoiler right? I don’t Think it would if it’s diffrent for others. Don’t wanna be a party pooper y’know?
They have launched the Japanese OST of the theme song ( alongside with other songs from the newly debuted singer) in Japan on 8th August. This chill version of the song is called “Young maiden Of Hraesvelg” and the opening full version with the phrase “I look to you like a red rose” is called “You g maiden of Hraesvelg ~ the wind, the flower, the snow, the moon”. The version differers with the arrangement as well as the lyrics. The opening version put more attention on building allusion to put in moon wind flower and snow imagery, which represents the main characters, in that version.
Well it’s obvious they were going for a more sombre reflective tone for the full song. As if Edelgard is reflecting on the events of the game and choices made
Kami Switch btw in my playthrough I renamed Byleth Link (because I can) and I swear every time I hear the starting Lyrics in this song all I can think of is that ONE still shot of Bernadette on her knees looking up towards the player I swear that is the VERY first picture of her that comes to my mind when I hear this song. And three houses was intact my VERY FIRST Fe game EVER and never have I played a game with a friendship mechanic where you could end up Marrying a character at the end if you went down such I path and I was SO fucking happy and fulfilled when I got to marry my dear little adorable Bernie

omg me too, i luv how he flirts with female byleth xD, but beyond that trope, he just wants someone to like him for him and not his status. *him being one of my fav, - this is the reason why i placed his S Support scene in the last few music beats in the intro of this amv* :)
Just as I feel that (parts of) the writing team really didn't like Bernadetta, I think the dev team really liked Sylvain. Apart from some good supports (though I feel some things are missing. His higher ranked supports with Ingrid lack an explanation why he starts falling for her when he clearly never saw her as a potential lover/crest-digger before), he's got some creative mechanics that fit his character. Like him being auto-recruitable by female Byleth. I'm not too fond of the rather sterile "get this stat and that skill high enough and character X will be recruitable"-mechanic, and I wish more characters had creative recruit options like that. And his selection of supports. With many characters, it kind of feels like they were working from a very strict template for what supports you get: Up to B with everyone in your house and a semi-random selection of cross-house characters, then raise all opposite genders, family members, and maybe one other character to A. Sylvain on the other hand has B supports with almost every woman in the cast, but barely any A supports. It's a delightful touch, and much better than filling out the support-conversation checklist by just rehashing the same character beat over and over (looking at you, Bernie and Ignatz). I only wish more characters had been given the attention Sylvain got.
This was my first Fire Emblem game, and it did not disappoint. I loved it. I have nearly 500 hours after playing it for a year. You could say I’m obsessed.
I did every paralogue (I don't see why you wouldn't, they're the most entertaining way to spend your in-game weekends), so I was wondering why Dedue coming back didn't play a bigger role in Dimitri's recovery. Only after I heard that Dedue surviving is optional did I understand why they let the sacrifice of a less important (to the story and Dimitri personally) character do the heavy lifting there.
I clicked on this and then saw 'Full Game Spoilers' and was like meh because the only route I haven't played yet is the church route and there are only about two cutscenes that I haven't unlocked yet so why not
Glad to see that this video is back up again. For a moment I was afraid that Nintendo's ninjas got you. XD Anyway, there isn't much else to say which I haven't previously said. The scenes match the lyrics beautifully (nice job correcting some parts of the lyrics btw) and the editing is top-notch. Looking forward to seeing your other videos. :)
I don't know if this was intentional, but showing Miklan's transformation as the lyrics say "Yet still I hide, behind this mask I have become" was genius. Edelgard views TWSITD and by extension her role as the Flame Emperor as monstrous. So showing a scene of a literal monster taking over somebody as she laments suffering a similar fate was *chef's kiss*
Oh boy. Yeah, you can't really say you've cleared the game til you've done all the routes. I realise this is two months late, but I hope you played the other houses before seeking out more spoilers. And that anyone else reading this who has yet to play the other routes does so too.

Brown Cow the song was sang by Edelgard’s voice actor, so many agree it’s more likely that it’s Edel wishing she could stay in the current moment at the academy but lamenting that she can’t. Honestly the lyrics can fit many of the characters as well considering it’s like having a messed up backstory is part of the entry exams for the Officers Academy

I just find it strange that the theme song picks one of the three main characters when players are meant to choose one.
Brown Cow I definitely agree that Edelgard seems the most likely one but I can totally see it being for the other two as well ,,, I played Dimitri’s route first and I feel like this song could apply just as easily to him (especially the line “don’t ever take back your kind hand”)

Brown Cow the song was sang by Edelgard’s voice actor, so many agree it’s more likely that it’s Edel wishing she could stay in the current moment at the academy but lamenting that she can’t. Honestly the lyrics can fit many of the characters as well considering it’s like having a messed up backstory is part of the entry exams for the Officers Academy

I just find it strange that the theme song picks one of the three main characters when players are meant to choose one.
Brown Cow I definitely agree that Edelgard seems the most likely one but I can totally see it being for the other two as well ,,, I played Dimitri’s route first and I feel like this song could apply just as easily to him (especially the line “don’t ever take back your kind hand”)
