Is it me or almost every Fighter Jet after flying the Heatblur F14 Tomcat seems basic?
Totally agree Quantum. I’m not sure why everyone seems to like this plane. It looks like yet another generic half baked DC designs/ CJ Simulations effort that is far too expensive compared to other offering
@@onegoodknock I didn't have fun with it at all to be honest. It doesn't look that good either. For being the same price its a waste of money for me. Their Euro Typhoon is better than this.
@@QuantumGamingUploadsI don't own the Typhoon or this but saw on another review that the Rafale reused the Typhoon sounds so right off the bat I'm thrown off considering the price point is the same as the IFE Tomcat and you get so much more with that
@@QuantumGamingUploads this is the reason I won’t buy anymore DC/CJ planes. They add little to nothing to the sim in my opinion. When you compare the JF Hawk and IFE F-14 it goes to show what can be achieved in the sim on Xbox. If the DC/CJ planes were half the price I’d say the were just about passable, but £30? Not a chance

That cockpit looks like bad FSX freeware. When Dino Cattaneo, who's behind Indiafoxtecho, first released the T-45 Goshawk as freeware for FSX many years ago, it was miles ahead of whatever this is pretending to be.
Yeah. The cockpit looks like a plastic toy, while the outside looks like it needs to go through a deep clean. Even Deimos Inc has better cockpit textures.
Do you see how fast they produce these toys so they can be first to market? What do you expect.

If you’re on Xbox bud be careful getting this .it currently has many ctds and black screens after more testing
I just tried landing on another carrier with the Rafale M and it didn't work, but it does work with Miltech super carriers.
I am thinking it works on some but others it doesn’t . Hopefully we get the super carrier this week on Xbox

The stuttering & flickering really needs to be delt with considering its asking price. I love to fly the B-2, but it does drive me nuts sometimes (especially during landing). I couldnt get myself to get the Indiafox F-14 yet, cause I already had the Dc Designs one, so I will grab the Rafale when I get home today; and get IndiaFox's F-14 when ever it goes on sale. I also hope the, Dassault Dreguet Super Etendard, Dassault Mirage IV, SR71 & Rockwell B-1 Lancer, Boeing E-3 Sentry & Northrop Grumman EA-6B Prowler will find their way to the sim in the near future. An Lockheed AC-130 gunship would be nice to, but it wouldnt make much sense with the bogus "no weapon policy" still in effect.

You're definitely going to love the new Tomcat, I know it's pricey but it's definitely worth it. It's a blast to use the carriers it also comes with
😂🤷🏾♂️Yea that Heatblur tomcat is the first high fidelity F-14 & and it also has like 40 different VFA liveries dating from the 70s all the way up. Worth every penny. Most people will uninstall the DC tomcats after flying the new one.. I know I did lol

This fighter is a monster in its own right😁💯🔥. I remember 2 years ago we had no decent fighter aircraft on Xbox. Look how far we have come through all of the suffering. The long waits for better aircraft has paid off. But I agree the sim is still unstable for console with many of the new aircraft. 🤔according to CJS team the Rafale cockpit screens are memory hungry so she causes alot of stutter with most especially the weaker series s console
We have come a long way but still much work to be done you are right they are ram hungry for sure
I have it on PC and so far no stuttering. I was able to land it on the carrier, but I've only done one carrier landings so far. Wonder if it could be the carrier brand. I landed on the super carrier pro. I have other brands of carriers, so I'll test those out later.

Would never make the cut. DCS planes need to meet a certain standard of quality and realism. They take YEARS to develope. You need the planes to be declassified or your plane is nothing but guessing and that’s not acceptable to Eagle Dynamics. That’s why we have so few more modern Russian jets. You can’t get the specs.

I've had the Rafale since yesterday. Unfortunately, no PDF manual is included. I don't think the inside of the cockpit is real, it looks like it was drawn and repainted, unrealistic. So far I've only had the jerks during a fast low flight over land with a very changing landscape. It could be that you don't have enough RAM; I have 64GB and a fast SSD. And yet sometimes it happens despite GigabIt LAN.
I have since returned this Rafale. Too many inconsistencies with the real version. For example, the maneuverability is also not right; In comparison to other fighter jets, the Rafale is actually much more agile, which can be easily tested, for example, in terms of roll speed. I'm waiting until another provider offers a better SIM for this great jet.

I’ll pass. I’m done with these overpriced slapped together in a handful of months toys. The cockpit looks like I’m looking at a video game cockpit instead of a sim. These guys can just NEVER get their texture work to look realistic inside the plane and they always look toyish.

It actually looks pretty good. Idk how the flight model is, personally thought the Typhoon was a little floaty and it made me not fly it, but this looks really nice compared to the DC stuff. Only gripe is not enough weathering in the cockpit.
Can’t justify buying it atm because i just bought the tomcat and a few other addons, unfortunately.

Yes I own the Rafale & she’s one of my favorite. I think CJ really outdid himself on this one & even the typhoon has improved since I’ve been back on the sim. Everything improves over time. Even the DC tomcats were trash 🗑️ at one point & needed to be fixed. I must say the only real issue I see with this amazing aircraft is it stutters for many people because of all the data being processed off those cockpit screens & I believe some people are having a throttle issue. Besides that she’s incredible. 😁💯That new tomcat tho definitely made me uninstall DC tomcats. That thing is phenomenal & so much more detail in my opinion

“I honestly love the work CJS has put into this thing and I am thankful one of my favorite delta wing fighters made it. People here need to realize we came a long way in the last 2 years from having almost no good aircraft. Truth nobody is ever satisfied. I see many people comparing tomcats to more advanced fighters like Rafale 😂. You literally can’t do that. They serve two different mission profiles & are not designed for the same purposes which is why many of these aircraft don’t do what others can. Most fighters are unique in their own way like the F-22 for example 🤷🏾♂️. That thing is literally designed to do things no other aircraft in the world can do. On the other hand I’ve never seen one aircraft release in a perfect state from even DC Or IndiaFoxTecho. Until the new planes have a chance to be updated we all need to relax on complaints, especially those that don’t know the aircraft.
🤔I mean I remember how long it took DC to fix the F-15s & F-14s when they were broken 2 years ago. It was a long process..
People won’t be satisfied as long as some of these devs keep pumping out military plane after plane and expecting you to wait for better this and that while they announce the next shiny they’re selling. Speaking of the DC Designs planes the Harrier hasn’t received a patch or update in almost a year? I’ve had 3 patches for the IndiaFoxTecho F14 in one week with more to come in January. No comparison in quality. One took years to make and one didn’t.
I didn’t even buy their Eurofighter as I knew IndiaFoxTecho is making a better version. F16 as well!
Ill stay with my TMS F22 Raptor. For me personally still the best fighter and most fun to fly.
It is a great plane
The Raptor isn’t realistic. The plane is still classified so it couldn’t be. On top of that the cockpit looks plastic inside.
@@johnwicks4936At least there's a couple of excusable excuses, like things being classified (but still trying to make it handle like you'd expect) and there not being too many cockpit images. However, when like all information about an aircraft is publicly available, there are no excuses.

@@vlxxrd4866 Well yes, but all of their planes look like that inside. I own four and wish I could refund them all. I was desperate for military planes and they took advantage of that. Look at the new F14 from Heatblur/IndiaFoxTecho, Avro Vulcan or Hawk from JustFlight or even the new Aardvark to see how military cockpits should look in this sim. The days of Frankenstein monster planes that look like direct ports from FSX in MSFS are behind me.
