You are genuinely the most talented artist I have ever seen like each painting is better than the last and the artistic skill paired with the eloquence and thought put into the paintings get me speechless every time. The stories and emotions that you manage to visualize into art pieces are just insane. You are honestly such an inspiration for me and every time I see any of your videos or paintings I feel motivated to work on this painting I keep procrastinating. Plus you just seem like such a fun person to be around so I'm always cracking up watching your vids😅 Anyways I hope you get the best from.....well life aaaaaand yeah im gonna end this long comment here (wow that ending really sounded awkward and abrupt as hell but alright)

i don't know what this says about me, but i perceived this painting a little differently than how you described the meaning behind it. too me, it looks like the girl has found tranquility and calm in a world of darkness and sadness and upset and the hands are sort of like me peeling back my own darkness and pain to try and join her. but as i do that, the darkness is sort of infiltrating her solitude and calm.

would just like to say that it is 10.15pm on a Sunday for me and this is my second video that I've watched from you! I have been struggling to get over my procrastination with my final submission this coming Friday, and I've tried classical music and so many other strategies BUT. Finally, with your calming aesthetic and genuine video I'm finally able to put more focus onto the work that I don't want to do, while being inspired by your perseverance with your work!! I'm going to watch every other video of yours to help me concentrate now thank you lovely hope you have a great day or night if you read this x

The "making the face seem like it is partly under water" problem probably stems from how we ~know~ water refract light, though its not something we necesserily think about, nor remeber to portray without reference photos. (Not a qritique, the painting looks great, you definitly solved it in other ways, im so in love.)

This is absolutely amazing. You're so incredibly skilled not only with color and realism, but in the way each object has some sort of meaning or symbolism. I watch your videos not only because theyre super relaxing lol, but also to get tips and learn from long time artists like you. I also struggle a lot with perfectionism when it comes to painting, and your videos have helped inspire me to start painting again. I hope you know how important you truely are!!!

The single most important thing I ever realised about myself and other people who were abused as children is this:
We weren't born hating ourselves. The hatred was taught to us, planted inside of us by the people who abused us. And just like our abusers planted it, we can rip it out and give it back to them.
We can reclaim the simple fact that we are okay just the way we are. That we are incredibly strong, having survived in the hands of people who explicitly wanted to destroy us. That all the scars we bear are new 'we' that we grew to heal ourselves.
When we were born, we could only hope to be welcomed by someone who would love and protect us. Loving and protecting us was the one single job of the people who decided to make us. They failed us. And yet, we are still here.
It is our birthright to give ourselves the love and protection that we were denied by our makers. It is our birthright to look at ourselves with loving eyes as we flourish and grow and learn, just like any good parent would look at their child.

Nothing wrong with drawing pretty girls (classic subject matter that will never go out of style), but one thing I've learned is that if you start feeling bored or dissatisfied with whatever you're doing, you're probably about to do something else. Everyone has artistic phases. Just look for new inspiration and absorb a lot of art and don't pigeon-hole yourself if you want a broader scope!

I love how you try to seek your culture and ground yourself through researching the fish, lotus, "ideal" face and plenty more. Your art not only, is easy on the eyes, but it is throught-provoking. Keep up the amazing work.

wow! you are actually really inspiring. I bought this big 12x16 inch canvas recently and i've been so afraid to paint on it especially cause i wanted to gift it to my grandparents and that painting i decided has was drawing humans. I always drew in sketchbooks and all and actually never painting humans, not on a large canvas to. I'm afraid to mess it up and canvas are costly too so i'm stuck between actually painting something from my head or just doing a pour art.
After seeing your video i realised i should try painting however i'm comfortable. I couldn't draw the hands properly so i was tensed that i don't have talent LOL. Anyways, in my free time i will plan out my idea on a digital software first and then actually paint.

The same situation is happening to me right now. During quarantine the amount of art I created was insane, I filled out so many sketchbooks and made many art pieces, but now I just have zero motivation. I don't know what to do with myself, I want to create art but I just can't get myself to. At times I even think that maybe art isn't my thing anymore and that I should quit forever. It's so hard knowing that my quarantine art peak will most likely never come back.

I loved this painting. I also really enjoyed the process and how everything had a deep meaning to it.
