  • Take a simple app with two roughly independent functions and break it into two apps and link them together in a 3rd AppLauncher App.
    - Explain how separating Apps can improve performance.
    - Launch an App from the App Launcher
    - Show how AppGallery gets replaced by the new AppLauncher
    - Add Menu Table to each app

    Good day. Thank you very much for this video. Really helps a lot when it comes to performance of the app that was created using Appsheet.
    But I have one question here. If I have 2 separate apps in "Prototype" mode but the Main App is deployed as "Publisher Pro", is it still possible to access those 2 separate apps? Thanks

    I think This is not about integrating two apps other than linking from one app to another.
    He needed to add the same inspection table from the other app into the crm app in order to copy to it. So it's not really integration.
    Still a lot of value in the video though.

    Good video. I have been using Appsheet daily for about 6 months now and still learned a thing or two here.
    Question: Will the Appsheet Proficiency bootcamp cover bulk record adding (multiple children and grandchildren creation) with webhooks?

    • @AppSheetTraining
      @AppSheetTraining  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That bootcamp covers more fundamental things. The Expressions bootcamp is more advanced, but we do not cover AppSheet API in either. That would probably deserve it’s own bootcamp. Maybe covering Performance, Scaling, and API

      @@AppSheetTraining Hi guys, what would you say is the difference between the Proficiency bootcamp and your excellent on demand fundamental concepts course? Additionally, I see you'll be creating an invoice app and while I see the value in learning core concepts, will there be any time to ask questions regarding our own specific app? Thanks in advance and for the awesome tutorials!

      Great question! Bootcamps are 12 hours of live sessions with one of our instructors. We cover concepts and “teach” for the first half of each session, then the last half is practicals. Practicals is a mix of the students building out portions of the app and then open Q&A about anything you want.

      @@AppSheetTraining Thanks! Much appreciated!

      @@AppSheetTraining Oh just to confirm, the Q&A would also be recorded for later viewing right? I ask because let's say I have 2 questions that are specific to my app and you start laying down some serious knowledge bombs but I'm not able to write down all of the notes fast enough, if it's recorded I can go back and review over and over until I get it right. Thanks

    Hi thanks for this video. May I ask for your advice? :D
    so, I plan to build an app that will include the following major functionality and with related datasets.
    1. Customer Management (contacts)
    2. Order Management
    3. Product Catalog
    4. Compliance Testing Tool of Product (risk assessment, CE/UL/CSA/ASTM checklists)
    5. Compliance Project Status Tracking (for each engineer)
    6. User Management (User Levels (Developer, Admin, General User), Related Compliance Projects, etc.)
    I imagine I would need to do smaller apps for each. My question in terms of faster performance is, should I separate the workbooks for each as well, with each workbook having sheets related to each app functions, and just relate them together?
    Or, stick to only one workbook where there's a ton of these related sheets?

      To help with performance - consider the following - AppSheet loads 3 tables at a time - so consider how you can consolidate child tables together or separate this app into separate apps. Creating a parent table is great and then having 2-3 child tables is ideal. Most of the different forms can be adjusted by show if columns depending on the drop down selection from which form you are wanting users to fill out. Hope this helps! Main take away here is - less tables = better app load/sync times.

    Thanks for this video, How would the pricing work? do I get charged for 1 deployed app or all apps linked?

    • @AppSheetTraining
      @AppSheetTraining  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You get charged per user. So you could have 1 app or a million you still pay per user. If you are a Google Workspace Customer you get Workspace Core for free for each of your workspace users.

    new to appsheet. How to create multiple forms with different columns/variables from as single table? and how to link these forms to the selected category or items with different attributes.

      Hmmm... I have seen this done by one person. Matt from MultitechVisions. You might reach out to him on the AppSheet Community.

    how is the inspection table showing in the first app in the first place? isn't the inspection table in the inspection app?

    • @AppSheetTraining
      @AppSheetTraining  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use the same table as a source in as many different apps that you want! Like for our company we have one User table that is used in all of our internal apps, this means if we were to add a new employee we only need to do so in one place for it to transfer everywhere!
