We have a 19 month old mini. He has loved to play fetch…from the time he came to us!! He wil fetch anything ..& if we are busy, he will find a toy and play ball himself. We are working on catching mid-air and he’s so good!! His favorite places to rest are the walk-in shower and tile floors.
My puppy is only 11 weeks, but he's learning how to play fetch! He seems to like it and does pretty well with it. He often trips over his feet in his haste to get the toy though 😂
Erin, my mini and I love your channel! She is 18 months old and loves to play fetch! She is also a lap dog and will sit in my lap as long as I will sit with her. I love having a mini-we are empty nesters and she is the perfect size for us!
@@DoodlesofNC it took us over a year to decide on a mini golden doodle from you guys or a cavapoo. We are in WI and found a wonderful cavapoo breeder 2 hours away. It was a hard choice!
Our 13 year old medium doodle loved water and being in our boat. He even liked tubing. He did not play fetch. He had a look of disgust “ you want me to get that”. He had a basket of chew toys and stuffies. If it had a squeaker, he ripped it out. He loved laying beside you.
My mini hasn’t shown that much interest in fetch. Sometimes she will run after a ball or toy, but only in the house. When outside she’s more interested in running. And she has walked 3 miles! She’s still only 18 weeks though. Chewing….yes!
That is a great idea for aluminum foil…our first dog (20 plus years ago…he did not get early stimulations like you guys do) was scared of aluminum foil when we got it out the first time… It could simulate ice also as it is slippery a little. I would love to have a mini, but even minis are too « big » for flying on the plane in the cabin with us. So I keep watching the beautiful videos for now. Thanks and have a great weekend!
Cavoodles ( cavalier x poodle) are super popular here in Australia where I live as they are a small dog. I’ve only noticed groodles ( Australian call golden doodle) to be GR size. I’m leaning towards a bigger size.
I had a mini golden doodle that lived to be 16 1/2 years old. We had to put him to sleep about a year ago. I always wondered why he didn't like to fetch . t
Oh how wonderful you had so much time together! No matter, it is still so hard to let them go. We had to let our 13yo Goldendoodle go just last week, he had cancer and it progressed so quickly we did not even suspect. He has left a huge hole in our lives and hearts. I trust that someday he will send us someone new, but for now we miss him terribly 💔🐾
My golden doodle mini is trying to dig all the time, backyard, on the sofa, on the couch and everywhere. What can I do to have him satisfy his digging instinct?
Ours is an Aussiedoodle/Labradoodle mix and is almost 16 months old and loves to play fetch. We do it with two balls…I throw one and she goes to get it and brings it back. She has to drop that one before I throw the other one for her. Sometimes she ends up with both of the balls and can’t make up her mind which one she wants. She will put one down and pick up the other and then switch.
I just found out my dog is scared to death of the sound from a bug zapper. Might be an idea to introduce that sound to the dogs. It’s such a high frequency noise. Weird. 🤷♀️😂
I have a 100 lb labradoodle. He’s soo much fun and always has a ball in his mouth. Only problem is that he sheds!! I wouldn’t trade him for anything. He’s my best friend.
@@DoodlesofNC yes ma’am. I brush him at least twice a day. 😊 I’m retired and disabled so he gets lots of attention. He s an inside dog and we take him outside to play ball and potty then back inside he comes to get back on his loveseat that no one sits in but him. Lol.
I did my research and reflected on the my life and I travel and a lot on vacations 3 to 5 times a year on the plane, cruises, New York, Orlando and Miami Florida. So which size goldendoodle should I get since a travel a lot.

Hey doodles if nc I’ve always wanted to start my own business on dog breeding do you recommend any in person or online classes for people who want to learn everything you need to know about breeding.
first, make sure your dogs are all health tested. Are you breeding for money or for the good of the breed? Are you breeding an actual breed or a cross? There's a lot more to breeding than throwing two dogs together, even if one is a poodle and you can give the puppies a cute name like "doodle."
@@JaydenAnimationsShorts why would you breed a dog that you didn't know would pass the hips, elbows, hearts and eyes test? Wouldn't you want to know you aren't passing on any genetic issues to puppies? Yes, it's expensive. so are vet bills for dogs with hip dysplasia, heart problemes, etc. Do you want to sell puppies with those problems? Or are you in it just for the money?
I’m thinking about getting a goldendoodle, but there lots of other breeds I want. What should I do? P.S: I been did my research, but still can’t decide
Do you seriously think people will listen to what you say? That’s why breeders stay in business. People are gonna do what they want to with their money
@@nickidrew5113 I am going to advocate as much as I want. Breeders are exploiting animals (which should be illegal) for profit. They put the female dogs and cats through multiple litters to make money even though it is dangerous for them. Greed, and exploitation. I can say what I want as animals have no voice.
@@al3xandreaa Agreed. They exploit these animals by over breeding them many times in unsafe conditions and keep the females pregnant time after time to sell the dogs (and cats) at a profit for their own gain. Animal abuse. Just like pet stores who sell animals. I believe they banned selling animals in pet stores in California recently unless the animal came from a shelter. It helps the shelter, helps the pets get adopted etc. It is the ethical thing to do. I hope other states follow suit.
Adopt and don't shop. The shelters and rescues are overwhelmed with dogs: there you can find a Doodle dog of your size and even try the dog out for a few weeks. It is also much cheaper than buying from a breeder. Stop these breeders.
Some people feel it’s too risky to adopt from shelters. I think about why the dogs are there to begin with when I considered purchasing from shelters. Yes, it’s a purchase. What if the dog had issues not known to the shelter and then what happens when the dog turns out to be unruly, aggressive or downright dangerous. You are then left with this poor dog to deal with like rehoming. Just my protective opinions for responsible breeders who are supporting their own families, economy and so on.
