I haven't slept in two days... I haven't been this inspired by a VST in since I bought MASCHINE 10 Years Ago. Wait till you realize how easy it is to create your own chords, or drag in your own samples and midi info. It is absolutely outstanding. It is so well curated. I'd love to meet the team behind the design. Some of these samples maybe nothing but more than samples from their enormous library. It goes to show you the possibilities that many of us weren't even aware could be achieved with only stacking these types of textures and sound design. What will set this plugin from everything else in this genre of VST's would be.... EXPANSIONS! Enjoy... I'm going to play with my Playbox.

I have found a new LOVE! I saw part of this vid and "finally" decided to give Komplete NOW a shot (as a Komplete Ultimate Owner), because I can sample this new baby for FREE. After only several presets in and a few rolls of the dice ... I'm SOLD! Surely grabbing this crazy, cool gem while she's on sale. Yo NI ... "U guys are amazing!" Playbox = "My Precious" ... (as I'm drooling over dice rolls)!!

Hey BROCK HXL I didn't see your message until now. I'm sure that you are good by NOW. What do you think? My bad ... I got pulled down a 2022 PC build hole after I started playing with ALL my NI and DSP plugins for while mixing, so I've been getting my PC "PlayBox" upgraded to enjoy the spring creative season.

M1 Pro is currently not supported. Compatibility should be sorted out soon tho 🤞
will you remove any instruments or vsts from the subrsciribtion service? Or are all the Plugins permanently be part of the service?
There's no plan to remove any products of the subscription plan 💪
This plugin looks awesome! I am not able to use it, however. I've tried every troubleshooting option, but installing Playbox via Native Access on my Mac is not working. Native Access says install is successful but Kontakt says the library is missing. Upon further investigation, it appears the nicnt file is missing from the sample library when intalled. The directory won't install to my external SSD either, it force installs to User/Libraries/Playbox Library. Can't relocate, can't tell it where to install.
Reach out to NI. They have a workaround for this issue while they sort it out.

The same thing happened to me with windows, I received a workaround this morning and now Play Box works like a charm.

This is the type of shit you use in one song then never use it again. Either that or you simply never finish songs because of the "endless capabilities".
NI is getting a little crazy with these noise generating products. Seems more like money grabs than useful tools. This thing is just all normal sounding plucks and other things people probably already have a million presets for. Just add some reverbs and delays and it's the same thing.
Well...hi there!! Adult here... just wanted to say that with the world coming out from the dead and being 8.5 Trillion at a loss money wise the fact that Native Instruments finally answered many a request to offer monthly subscription based products is a very kind and timely thing!! They didn't have to but did and I'm thankful!
As for music and sound....sorry but NI is Industry standard in quality!! Not a money grab but an extending of their hands!
9.99 cents for 13 plugins with more on the way bi-weekly and others monthly!! Someday I'll be able to afford Komplete Ultimate but this is better than good!
I’m actually very sad to see music production dumbed down like this. No need to learn how to play chords or get better at piano or actually playing the instrument. Just press 1 key and let software generate chords for you…Is this what making music has come to? Things like this are not good for music production at all. Teaches you to take shortcuts instead of putting in the time to create melodies and chord progressions that work.
Isn't it a good reason to push creativity boundaries? 😉
Pushing creativity doesn’t have to come at the cost of getting better as a musician though. Things like this, output arcade (which I’m sure inspired this) splice etc don’t require you to get better as a musician. It gives you a shortcut and makes you worse as a musician/writer/producer for not knowing how to create on your own. Instruments like Sequis and Arkhis are great at conjuring up and inspiring creativity, while allowing the musician to PLAY the instrument. This is called playbox, but I don’t see a way to actually PLAY it as an instrument. Shame as the samples and FX engine sound great. However I stand by my opinion, products like this do not inspire people to PLAY and become better at creating music. I call these “lazy tools” 😝
I think this is a great educational tool, not for theory so much as just introducing young people to the joy of making music with tec 👍

What a ridiculous thing to say. You don't suddenly become a worse musician because a plugin has chord shortcuts. A new player could even use tools like this to become familiar with chord structures where they might have had a creative block.
