Guys, before you dust off your skis and head for Glenshee, this video was shot in March 2022 so all the snow is probably melted by now - I only just got round to editing this. But thanks a lot for watching :) Consider becoming a patron of mine and help me to grow my channel, receive free exclusive merch and more here: www.patreon.com/shaun
I always love when your in the Highlands! Thank you for another great trip. Being from the states I can never get enough of your beautiful Highlands. You have to go back in the summer time. The wildlife, streams, building and mountains. Just Beautiful.
The drone footage of the deer is just amazing!! It's really cool because I guess the deer heard the drone and some were looking at it. Amazing footage Shaun!! Also Happy Easter from south Texas.
Absolutely stunning scenery, Shaun. The snow angel was brlliant! I think that Her Majesty would have laughed like a young girl at you. Hope this finds you and Teka well. Have a Blessed Easter. Pax from Texas.
My Grandfather was born and raised in Scotland and came to New York in his 20’s. He retired to Florida where he took me to a Highland games in the 1970s. I went to one outside of Albany, New York when I was at university. Fun fact: Albany, New York was named for the future King of Scotland James VII who was Duke of Albany when it got that name. He was also the Duke of York and so the NYC & the colony/future state were named for him also. He also became king of England as James II but was forced out in part for having converted to Catholicism and was replaced by his son-in-law & his daughter, William & Mary who have a college named after them (the 2nd oldest in the USA after the oldest-Harvard).
We use little straw wisk brooms to get the snow off of our boots. Or a regular size straw broom as we keep those in our vehicle to sweep the snow off our vehicle. This was one of my favorite vlogs. Gorgeous scenery, drone footage of snow and deer, as well as the musical accompaniment. Thanks for sharing!
That's a sizeable herd there! And I spent the first half of my life in places where "that car" was the norm. My car would look like that every few weeks without a garage. Yet I've never seen a snowplow that size. They probably have them in mountainous areas here
fantastic views today!! what a treat!! granted i see snow just about every week but never those lovely old walls and buildings. the vast rolling hills. really great. so glad you had a chance to experience the winter wonderland. hope Teka's back gets better. peace
We got some snow in higher elevations here as well but you did get a bunch. We had a very windy inch of hail and snow at my daughters out in the country earlier today. Hope you are enjoying your Easter holiday.❤️🥰💕🐰🐣🐥
@@shaunvlog there are parts of upstate New York that get some of the highest amounts in the country due to what are called lake-effect snow such as around Buffalo, New York.
✌🏼👍Nice tour. The Braemar Snowpeople needed one more level so they could be taller-pretend to toss a log across the grounds. Next time you get a dump of snow I would suggest organizing a snow person contest. Winner could get free admission in September Games or something.
hey Shaun I meet and worked on computer of Diana Gabaldon. She is pretty chill just got alot of statues of ravens like 13 of them in the house. Just thought you would like that little incite.
Brrrrrrrrrrr!! 🥶 I'm so glad it's Spring! This was OK, though. A susurration of starlings? The green buildings at Braemar were charming with snow on them. And ruins! And some sort of dark, gear-like monument? Curious. Icicles under the bridge a rare sight. Scotland is awesome. I hate winter. 😠
Braemar! This is where my ancestors are from. How did we get to Texas? I would love to move there. It's a dream! The deer are just beautiful. It makes me want to cry. You should've visited the castle. Maybe next time.
Absolutely love the snowly vistas in Scotland. Though I live in a valley in Tennessee between the Smoky Mountains, it seems we usually just get a dusting of winter white while the higher elevations get dumped on. I love snow and have never been skiing; however, at almost age 70, I probably never will. Happy Easter to you and your wife.
We haven't been able to have our annual Highland Games and Celtic Festival for the past couple of years in Virginia because of ... Well, you know. Hopefully it will happen this year! I would love to see true Highland Games in Scotland!
Absolutely gorgeous scenery and the drone shots were epic! That's my winter every day for months here in the mountains of Utah. We have ski runs that would scare the hell right out of you! You should visit when it's warmer. It does look like a great place to stay for a night or two. Love to Teka 💕 Happy Easter 🌷🐰🌷🐣🌷
You can tap the heel of your boot against the doorframe or foot lift of the car to get the snow off. If you do it close to the rubber sole and at the right angle, it falls right off.
This was really interesting. I have seen other posting’s of the Gathering but a view of the town during the off season was scenic. 😂 can’t believe you laid in the snow to make an Angel for contents sake. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
I have very little to give except a thank you. With all the sorrow over the last few years, I want to tell you that going on the journeys with you and Teka has brought me much joy. I wish I could give you as much as you give me. thank you. Oh and why do you drive on the wrong side of the road? tee hee
Gorgeous FROZEN 🥶 winter ❄️ conditions. Watching you I’m freezing 🥶 my ass off. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺 Don’t misunderstand me it looks gorgeous but too bloody cold 🥶. I’ve got the central heating on at my place and it’s about 12-14 degrees celsius
Hello, there Shaun. Haven't had the chance to tap into your vids in a while. Have off-topic Q 4 U. Do you know anything about the history and subsequent disuse of, the old Bannockburn House and, how it came to be abandoned? Food for thought and video suggestion.
16:00 Shaun, how much does it cost to charge the car to full? Just say in Pounds and I will translate it myself. Just curious. I have been looking into having my next car being a Chevrolet Volt or a Tesla. Thanks for any information.
It varies wildly. The super fast chargers cost around £25 from zero to full, but there are plenty of free and low cost slow chargers in my city too, thought they are slow. Meanwhile, if you charge at home it costs less than £5 to charge fully. So to get an accurate picture you need to take all your free charging and rapid charging over a month and average it out. I use the free chargers wherever possible
@@shaunvlog That's pretty good! My town in Massachusetts, USA just started adding charging ports to supermarket parking lots (which are the lower charged price that you type of). I see people plugging their cars in and then go grocery shopping. The electric cars are definitely the wave of the future. Thanks for the information on the pricing.

Really glad you like it 😊
😲 😱 OMG!!! I am crying right now! It is so breathtaking!!! I feel like my Soul lives there! Thank you Shaun!
The shot of the underside of the bridge with the icicles was worth the threat of a dousing . Beautiful scenery. Thank you
Absolutely stunning scenery, Shaun. The snow angel was brlliant! I think that Her Majesty would have laughed like a young girl at you. Hope this finds you and Teka well. Have a Blessed Easter. Pax from Texas.
Thank you very much Mary 😀
I ABSOLUTELY agree👏

Unexpected snow is the most fun because everything seems like an adventure all of a sudden 😁

Thank you Barbara 😀
I like in suburban New York & I can appreciate the beauty of snow but it can get old very fast if we get too much.
I’m always amazed by how much snow you guys get - way more than us. This snow is pretty rare for us nowadays

Looks gorgeous under the snow!
Next time, up ti Braemar for The Highland Games!

Depending on the snow, you might have to angle the rubber sole X ways against it.
Looks beautiful!
Lovely video thank you so much.I hope Teka’s back is better soon.❤️
Thank you very much Diane 😀
I had never heard of Glenshee before
I’d never been there before either
Hope you had a Happy Easter Shaun and Teka. Beautiful video. Love seeing everything covered in snow. 🙃
Blessings always 🌷💕🕊️🙏

I'm in a village near to Oban since january and I didn't knew it about ski on the Highlands. It's a pitty because I'd have loved to have gone
Ah Oban is beautiful. Yeah there is - at Glencoe also, but usually only a few months in January and February

What’s the music? Love your content, thanks!
I get my music from Epidemic sounds but didn’t catch the names - I will in future 😊

Ahh que legal. Muito obrigado ☺️
It seems way sunnier than say London or Ireland but I have no idea, just from TV and videos…
Yeah we do get quite a bit of sun, but also a lot of rain
