      Minds Eye Design most are great ideas. Some of the prices are over the top. But other than small apartments and dorm room's people are forgetting another use for some of the beds.
      And I think it would be beneficial to you and to Tiny Home Builders. I saw a few that would fit in one and help with storage and space. But the prices that you mentioned on some are way over the top.

      Toys for rich people. What ordinary person could spend the better part of seven thousand dollars for a couch / bed? I spent exactly that much on my car, 10 years ago, and I'm still driving it. However, with the money I didn't spend on expensive trash through the years, I was able to put a down payment on a reasonable sized home. It's a case of priorities and cash flow.

      @@patrickchubey3127 These are made for people who live in cities, where buying property can go well into the millions and even rent can rival your mortgage. Or for people who want to get as much use out of every square foot of space they possibly can regardless. There are also cheaper versions around for most of these, particularly the storage beds
      That said. Making a loft-style bet for my full-size mattress wouldn't cost me more then a few hundred bucks and a trip to the Home Depot for the wood....

    My dad made my sister and I built-in beds that lifted to access a ton of storage underneath. Who knew he was thirty years ahead of the times? Only cost a couple hundred dollars each, and my sister's even had a stage for putting on plays. Mine had a window seat and bookshelves. They were awesome!

    Way to futuristic for my liking. And the price range is way more than I would like to spend. I would like to see these SMALL apartments and DORM ROOMS that would accommodate these LARGE, so called small beds that take up little space.

      Maybe instead of napping they should be stretching and cardio.

    You can buy #9 in IKEA with a more practical headboard. #2 you can build yourself if you like it.

    • @macforme
      @macforme 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      vondale: I got the #9 for about $400 in the SF Bay Area. After I put it together the mattress was too high so I ended up losing the storage space so I could put the mattress in the frame. I finally got tired of climbing over the frame to get out so I had to get rid of it.

  • @patrickchubey3127

    If you can afford these things, you can afford to add on a room to your home, or move to a bigger apartment if you don't own a home. I could spend $6,800 for a couch / bunk bed system, but I'd probably just end up having overnight guests stay in the spare bedroom.

    Regarding the round bed, I have a few questions:
    1. Where the hell do you get sheets for that?
    2. How ridiculously expensive are they?
    3. How many people would it take to change the sheets on a round bed? Try and visualize it....go on...
    ...I know, right?!

  • @WyldstaarStudios
    @WyldstaarStudios 5 ปีที่แล้ว +49

    A bed with storage space underneath it. That's supposed to be innovative? Every bed I've had since I was a kid included space underneath it for storage.

    I like the pod bed. Great design. It is also priced right. If I had an extra room I would consider purchasing it. When I was going to college and studying at home I came up with the idea of a study pod and started looking for ways to make it soundproof so that I could block out all of the noise of my 3 children because I was having trouble concentrating on my homework. I was hoping to have air conditioning, a desk and a computer and comfortable seating. I was thinking that it could be designed like the cabin of an airliner. This pod comes the closest to my idea but I still think that it was a great idea that i should have followed through on.
