- Hi friends! We're excited to show you the start of our Alaska Cruise adventure on the Disney Wonder. This was a 7-day sailing starting on May 15, 2023. This was also the first Alaska Cruise of the season, and the first 25th Anniversary sailing for the Wonder.

We are going on a Alaska Cruise on the Disney Wonder in Aug 28 this year
Never been to Alaska before but we have been on the Wonder back in 2000 when I graduated from Glencoe High School

Greetings; My 7 day Alaska Cruise on the Wonder is coming in July. Very much looking forward to it.

I went on the Disney wonder cruise in September 2005. One time I saw my cousin have ice cream on the deck when I was walking on the deck one day on the cruise with my mother. I also have a lot of memories of the Disney Ocean club since that was where me and my cousin hung out when we went on the cruise because we were too young for nightclubs at the time in fact my cousin was barely old enough for the Ocean Club herself. Also the club used to Pirate themed back in the day and the area where the slinky dog slide was used to be a pirate barrel slide and the pirate barrel slide had a platform that was like a pirate ship and there was a bridge that looked like it was made out of nets and kids would walk on it. However I did not do this because I was too afraid to do it so I did a small slide in the club. One time I asked a boy in the club to take a toy down the slide with him in the club.Under the slide used to be a small room Captain Closet room that girls would do dress up as a princess on the cruise and there were also computers in this room too. One time I was playing on the computer late at night at the club and my parents came to get to me and I told them don't interrupt my fun. Also there used to be a small stage in the club where kids could sing songs on the cruise. I also had a good talk on the cruise with a girl one time in the club. My cousin also told other kids in the club not to play with me one time. Also the bathrooms in the club were smaller and the lights were dimmer especially at night and they had life saver floats as a decoration back than they are now on the cruise after the remodel happened and the club was much smaller in space when I went.
I went to the Ocean Lab once one the cruise. one time my cousin accidentally went to the boys room but lucky for me I found the girls one. One time I freaked out when a girl brought her brother into the bathroom and when my cousin when into the boys bathroom because Back then when I was younger I did not really understand that you do not have to be a certain gender to like certain things.Also the Lab was space theme when I went. The boys room in lab back in the day has blue and green for its wall color and the girls room was pink in color i do not remember too much about the ocean lab.
Also Tiana Palace used to Parrot cay where I would eat breakfast with my parents on the cruise. I also walk the deck one night with my parents on the cruise. I also ate at Animator pallet for dinner on the cruise with my parents. Me and my parents would eat dinner there and back then I did not eat gluten. I would often eat ice cream from there off the kids menu for dessert and one time i got a brownie and vanilla ice cream to share with my parents one night on the cruise from the kids menu at Animator Pallet.
Disney Wonder creates so many amazing memories. It's crazy to hear how much it has changed over the years. Thank you for sharing your stories with us!

We printed them at home on magnetic paper that we bought on Amazon. We recommend to get a thicker paper though. Ours was 12mil thickness and it kept slipping off the door! It's still a fun DIY option!

im nervous the spirit jerseys will sell out. did you go back to the gift shop at all to see if merchandise was still available later in the cruise?
We were too! Some tips:
Prioritize the 25th bag/ears if you want them. They were gone in seconds once the shop opened, but the 25th jerseys did last the entire trip with some sizes selling out after a few days. We think Smalls sold out first, then Mediums. Other sizes lasted a while (XS lasted the longest by the end of the cruise).
Alaska merch all lasted the entire trip - including all sizes of the beautiful fluffy spirit jersey.
From talking to a cast member in the shops, they said each cruise ship gets different amount of stock so your experience may vary. Keep in mind we were on the inaugural sailing for Alaska and 25th merch, and we also heard that some of the later sailings didn’t restock certain items at all. Hope that’s not common.
We recommend that you grab some snacks and drinks from deck 9, then go line up at the shops up to an hour before opening (they open at 6pm) in comfort. Also, if you have multiple people in your party, have someone wait at each entrance since it’s hard to predict which door they open first. You got this!
