the best part of nuka-world is that, in order to actually get anything out of the DLC (story missions, unique loot, perks), you're forced to side with the raiders (and you fuck over your relationship with preston, if you care about that one way or another). if you just fight them immediately you get basically nothing.
I mean the entire DLC just screams that somebody at Bethesda is pouting, yelling: "here, there's your DLC to be *evil*". No matter that outside of Nuka World or content related to it's mechanics, you can be nothing but helpful, concerned parent. Because of course, we can't add raider like lines to the entire game. Something, something. We knew we needed a voiced protag to do our story in 4.
You can side with the raiders and do the whole thing and then turn on them and go back to Preston, as long as you don’t attack settlements. But you can side with them to do all the nukaworld missions and then go back to Preston at the end of the
the first people i started to hear complain about games being too long were variety streamers that just wanted to move on to the next game, then the audience who isnt invested in a story but happy for mindless grind games wanting story games shorter. as someone who loves jrpgs that do have a bit of bloat, id rather have the amusing bloat than have it trimmed off. im not falling for devs talking about shortening stories and increasing the price.
I mean there's a reason the Witcher and Skyrim appeals to the lowest common denominator. They don't play a lot of video games, so they're happy to have one "everything" game that's 100+ hours long. Elden Ring would have been a thousand times more replayable if it's campaign wasn't so bloated to appeal to those people
No, get rid of the unnecessary bloat and give a cost worthy of the game that's left. You can keep your grindfest JRPGs but get rid of the Ubisoft towers, mandatory tutorials for everything throughout an entire Rockstar game (RDR2 had 2 hunting tutorials), unskillable dialogue and walking sequences.... Nobody's asking for your average indie to be 70$ and nobody ask if these games weren't being pumped with bland filler.
Will Shen talks about it being hard to control the creative people working at Bethesda. Yet their output rarely goes above a McDonalds Cheeseburger. Weird that.
Hey pat on previous stream you mentioned the crows are synths Turns out there are 2 models for crows and the ones with red eyes are called "CrowSynth.nif" and normal ones are just "Crow.nif" BUT the red eye model is not used the creator of the model Mark Teare stated on his tumblr that he wanted to implement both but at some poin they changed it so that all crows are "watchers" so that is why it is unused model So all crows are synths...kinda
I strongly disagree with the idea that Skyrim had a better intro than Oblivion. At least Oblivion instantly sent you to character creation and gave you control of your character afterward. The intro Cutscene is skippable, Skyrim has a long droning intro, and even when you get to move, your hands are still bound, so your control is limited for a while.
Also the idea of Pat being a dog mom will never not be cute and endearing! *Dog just lays around all day "My God, do something! *Shoots at dog until something happens "uhh I think you're being a bit hard on her..." *Pat points gun at partner "Nevermind you got this honey!" 😆😂

the rot has already set in even at the most casual of casual ie nintendo games carving out 80% of the game and slapping on online

What about shmups and action games?

If anything that probably explains the output.
Vtuber, a terrible game, and a Destiny 2 x Star Wars watermark at the bottom. You really make this stream embarrassing to watch in public.
Imagine caring what other people think lol

surprising that pat played this for 8 whole hours. private being there helped out I am sure, but still
Just because Bethesda can't write a story doesn't mean the gameplay and exploration isn't enjoyable
Better question is fallout 3 better then brotherhood of steel
What a dlc
Thank you pat and private! Great stream, can't wait for the next one! Stay nerdy! 🔥👍❤️

Which stream did Pat go deep into Pirate Software's work history and CV? I must have missed that one.
