      Caveat Emptor. You know damn well if you get a great “deal” there’s some research that needs to be done. There are good contractors and there are bad contractors. It’s not our job to police other companies. It’s YOUR JOB as a purchaser to do your due diligence when shopping for a contractor. The number of jack installs I’ve seen paid for by customers that thought our bid was “too high” (spoiler where I work we always come in at the lowest bid of all of the legit contractors, honestly we don’t keep our prices as updated as we probably should for the bottom line). Too many people are more worried about the best “deal” than paying for the best work.

      Not a fan of the “leak sealer” the ol radiator sealer idea. If it’s really gonna find a pin hole & seal, why wouldn’t it plug or at least restrict a piston metering device. Can it not bond to brass only copper? I simply don’t agree with introducing anything but refrigerant to a system.

    I’m wondering how good the easy seal really is. My boss doesn’t like it so we don’t use it often. But it sure would be nice to be able to fix a leak with something so easy. I mean as long as it’s not in a unit still under warranty

    • @PipeDoctor
      @PipeDoctor  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If the unit is still under warranty it’s best to locate the leak and replace that component that has failed. Otherwise it’s a good idea to try EasySeal once.

      Greeting from Arlington, Va!. We've been in a tiny brick house for 30 years with nothing but window air conditioners. The house was built in 1939 and has hot water radiator heat. Window units are the ultimate zone cooling that drown out the neighborhood racket when your sleeping! We have a vertical casement window air conditioner in the basement from the 80's that is still workin', just like Mikey Pipes. The great thing about window units is they never all die at the same time. When we lost power due to a storm several years back, we plugged our bedroom window a/c into the neighbors house that still had power and lived with our kid for 5 days in a tiny room. When we build an addition, its going to have central and be done right! Thanks Mikey Pipes! Being a pro is making the most of what you have...

    I don't understand why people spend that much money to get a system installed and then fail to do easy routine maintenance i.e. keeping it clean.

    What happened to the Unit you started video with frozen coil? Video started on unit with frozen Suction line to condenser with wrong access panel attached. But then serviced unit behind it. Was it a 2 for 1 scenario?

    Hey man we see this hackery stuff all the time as REAL professionals but professional work costs a lot of money and it sucks but the customer is usually at fault, they need to do at least a little bit of research and inspect the system after installation and before final payment. its unfortunate, but its a reality

    I love how people here are trashing the people's property, most of you probably live at home w mom and dad. In HVAC you never criticize others work even if it's bad that shows a lack of professionalism. However it was a terrible install and worthy of a replacement. I love when people do a bad install it cost more for me to fix it than for me to do it correctly the first time.
