that “SHIT!” at 12:36 with the twinkling piano still gets me every time lol
They really need to consider releasing this reworked version of Speedway - it’s fucking massive
I prefer the original, this version lacks the funk industrial noise of the original. This is kinda a prog rock speedway that sounds massive, i like it but i prefer more the rymthym complexity of the original.
@@alex11v3 Yeah I see what you mean! I much prefer where they’ve progressed to than where they were
So little bands play this amount of unreleased content with such ease. It's like a song idea falls out of them every day.
Morgan is a tasteful genius man. The simple, driving rhythm at 25:55 is so badass. Any other drum pattern there would not be as fitting!
one of Greep's signature is always singing the lyrics on live slightly later than in the original song
Omfg this was an amazing gig lost a shoe and nearly died but its all good as my life is complete now since me shouting "shit" will forever solidify me in bm lore ahahah
@@blackcountrynewroadie Yeah I was with my mate literally on your left and we both were majorily shitfaced the greep chanting at the start and asking greep to have my kids was us as well
Egor you were immediately on my right, I remember you and your mate kept coming back and forth for beer throughout the support and then you disappeared at the very start of BM's set
Greep is the actual spit of Tim Smith of Cardiacs.
Makes sense as their sound is going deep into that direction, lovely erratic and eccentric stuff
Nah, I don't see it anymore. I almost find that perspective disrespectful. Bm are great but Cardiacs are always going to top them, they were revolutionary
It was absolutely Geordie’s idea to have themselves announced in Bruce Buffer style
Holy shit, the new songs are insane
12:36 that "OH SHIT" was part of the band as well
I was stood behind you for this whole show, what a treat getting that view of Morgan murdering his kit
Fuck yeah, what a show! I had the exact same view of the band as you due to me being stood on the barrier right next to you - glad you enjoyed it! I knew it'd be a wild gig but I wasn't expecting it to be *THAT* wild!
Edit: can see myself throughout whenever you turn the camera to look at the audience. What a show!
@@dimku8253 my neck is still stiff from it and it's been three days haha. I'm used to pits because I go to metal gigs all the time, but this was unexpected. Loved the energy!
Kaidi looking more and more fitting as someone called Casanova
These guys are fucking aliens dude there’s no way real humans can do this amazing shit
This show looked like a hell of a time
It was fun as fuck ahaha had to catch my glasses when they got shot into the air mid mosh
saw them back in october, got front row and was behind morgan the whole time
best show ive ever been to
All Brudenell shows are now up with Night 2/3 having soundboard audio x
My man Greep looking more and more like Adrian Belew every day.
So many new classics already, they keep getting better - what a f*cking blessing.
Subscribe for more, maybe some Black Midi from their upcoming Leeds gigs?! we will see ;)
this band is simply mindblowing. the SKILLLLL
Went to their gig at Ally Pally London by myself and was the best live music experience in my life ❤️❤️❤️ the energy in that place was so electrifying and the ad libs were pure gold. Left the place thinking I've got to go again
i actually cannot wrap my head around Circus no matter how hard i try. that song is so goddamn dense
Went to the Newcastle gig and had pretty much the same setlist and experience. Thought it was gonna be chill. It wasn't. It was not chill. It was the best concert I'd been to. On another note. Props for holding that camera as steady as you did.
ahaha i’m used to it now. For this gig however i was videoing with one hand and taking photos with my other camera in my other hand haha. so there are parts where its shaky
@@blackcountrynewroadie Wow! Amazing footage from a phone and the audio is great as well! You did a brilliant job of filming it too. Thank you!
Loved this version of slow. Shame about the skip, still amazing. Thanks for this
Epic, I can’t wait to see them in Atlanta
Waiting to see these guys for my first concert because I know nothing else will compare. Next time Midi meets Cali I'll be there!
@@NinjaCS fuck man I didnt I wish I did I live like 2 hrs away from SF and I dont have my own car rn. I swear next time I'll just get s hotel out there and take the rail train lol
Really appreciate this being uploaded. I was at the Newcastle gig last night, it was pretty bloody amazing. TBE
I was in a restaurant in Edinburgh last night & at the table opposite was Geordie. I had a chat & got my picture taken with him , I was made up.😀TBE
handholding while watching black midi perform dethroned is my favorite pastime now
man i bought tickets to these guys the day before they played it was nuts
Welcome 2 hell has John The Fisherman vibes by Primus. It's like Beefheart meets Zappa meets Primus meets Cardiacs.
Legend!
Near DT, MI mosh pit is something else
All this bm content. Bout to pass out.
Holy shit I went to that concert! It’s amazing but I was holding on to my friend this entire time 😭
This version of John L is fantastic
Gordie Greep is the secret love child of David Thomas and Tom Yorke.
Oh also the first part of Dethroned is a different song called Circus, was printed on the setlist as Looney though
Slow sounds incredible
Awesome, I saw them in Leeds last night and they slayed. Love the support O as well! Can't see anything online by them unfortunately.
i have the full gigs from set 1,2 and tonight ill be recording set 3 👍
I was there too, O was fucking amazing. Wearing the shirt I bought for them as we speak :D They said they've got nothing online at the moment, will have to keep an eye out.
@@ookiiani i’ve got one of their songs, jut waiting for permission to post :)
Welcome 2 Hell sounds a lot like Blurt. Love it.
Bass intro to 27Q sounds like Children of the Eye by Amenra
GOD
As pancadas no cérebro continuam! Espetacular! É de sair atordoado! Grande batéra! 😀
Saw them at Webster Hall in NYC last month and I really love seeing how many people are recording/posting Black Midi’s shows for this tour.
I got to see them at the Brooklyn show on their first tour and afterwards told anybody with ears, that these guys my age (teens at the time) put on the most energetic in-your-face kinda performance I’ve ever seen and will see for years to come.
I don’t like to gush over things but your first time seeing them live has the potential to change your life.
Sidenote: Despite my slight preference to Schlagenheim over Cavalcade, they outperformed themselves 100x over this time around live. Combined with all of them at a confidence lvl 100; they walked onstage to Sinatra’s “New York, New York”, The Greep sang Sinatra’s lyrics over 953, Shanko got abused and they even passed a pizza into the GA halfway thru which I thought was polite of them.
@@niftybman Yeah they're fuckin amazing lads, I've got more videos of theirs to post too from the past 3 nights
I was there for that show too, it was seriously intense! I just wanna see a video of the crowd, I was in the middle of the crowd when it started and ended at the very back it felt like the moment they played a single note the whole crowd became a pit. The performance they put on was amazing too! Seeing them play Chondromalacia Patella, and Sugar live were things I only dreamed of until that point, now I gotta go and see them every time they come around
That drum's recovery on Slow from 1:07:00.
"I got it I got it..."
Perfect.
Eat Men Eat is so dank holy shit
GREEP GREEP GREEP
51:15 the camera work killed me XD
lmao I don't know if this is a compliment or not, but that's one of my favourite shots I've got ahah
Shaky Parts / parts where i’m recording the monitors are either:
a) Me getting body slammed
or
b) juggling two cameras and taking pics with my other :D
I've got a line of bruises across my chest from where the barrier was against me hahaha
Spider-Man John L
legends
🐐
Was Greep and Seth's interaction that got interrupted by Kaidi a direct nod to EME being played right after, or am I just a starved gay?
TBE
I think most of the fun of a show is seeing the songs you heard on the record played/reworked live. Thus it is so frustrating that black midi plays mostly unreleased songs at their shows. I've been to 2 shows now and only heard like 3 songs from each record. It almost feels like a slap in the face to their fans. Sucks cause they sound so amazing
They play a 50/50 of unreleased and released stuff so its pretty fair
TBE
Lost my shoe in the pit at this gig and broke a toe, the best thing I've been to tbh.
Lmaoo , hope ur toe heals well 😂
At 30:12?
@@MrPencilcelebs Nah, got mine back before that, but glad I'm not the only one 🤣
Travis Scott fans...oh you must be new here
Chipped my tooth feels good man
