BBBigggg Thank you for clearing this confusion I have been struggling to explain hiring HR screening folks the difference of DevOps role isn't a job title its an agile methodology of a organization how to perform their work to automate production releases. I am a Middleware and Cloud Admin I have to mention DevOps Tools in my resume which we use to deploy WAR files into Websphere, Tomcat and other applications But Interviewers get stuck with questions asking do you develop any language? I keep telling them we use admin templates scripts to patch WAS application server. We work along with Release PM, QA and Programmers teams when they have new releases to deploy in IST, Dev, QAT and Prod.
You are (still)doing the Ops part of the DevOps. With tools like AWS CDK - Devs can successfully deploy Ops natively using programming language of their choice and making pure Ops engineers/admin to evolve faster than ever. Good Luck. Happy Learning

Yes, most of the cases DevOps engineers doesnt deal with testing. Again it is depends on the kind of project you handle.
