Amazing. I honestly thought this was an interview between the late great Patrick and Parky... the voices, mannerisms etc were absolutely perfect. Truly amazing.
The most astonishing things about this is I had no idea old Parky was so knowledgable about Doctor Who folklore! :D Bravo to both you chaps. A lot of fun, clearly made with love.
Nice work guys. :) John's Pertwee is amazing! Most of his voices, I can tell it's him, but for a solid 10 seconds I could have sworn it was the real Jon.
Another tour de force of impressionist skills from Christopher and Jon. It’s not only the voices, but the eye for fine detail and conversational minutia like the pauses and fillers which really give the impressions a real authentic feel. Done with class and complete affection. Top work, Gentlemen! Love it!
Wonderful work Chris! There were points where I completely forgot this wasn't an actual interview. Both the impressions were great as always and the cameos from Pertwee & Baker were the icing on the cake. Was it all improvised? Because if so the fact that you both remained in character for the whole thing is all the more impressive.
It was all improvised, yes. I spent some time going over the interviews with Patrick Troughton (there aren't many!) and taking notes on his similar answers in each of them, etc. Then when we recorded, Jon and I sat down, and he asked me the various questions for me to respond (in character). There wasn't a script for it. All improvised :)
Awesome work from both Culshaw and yourself and it legitimately proves that the pair of need to be hired by big finish to play the second Doctor and the third Doctor because the chronicle series and the actor playing 3 doesn’t do either incarnation justice and the two of you are infinitely more accurate in terms of performance and overall voice
Wonderful work Chris. I always appreciate your videos. Out of curiosity, have you ever considered doing a sequence where the Second Doctor meets the Brigadier for the first time? It's never been seen on TV with their first interactions being off camera. Take care and keep up the good work.
You missed out on voicing The second doctor in the upcoming second doctor box set Beyond War Games. They have got Michael Troughton who's actually one of Patrick Troughton's son.
It be great if you did a Parkinson episode with Tom Baker (impression) around that time on his role of The Doctor, why he decided not to get involve with Doctor Who after his time etc. But nevertherless, well done Chris and Jon, hope to see more great work.
Wow, you have collaborated with Jon Culshaw? With respect to you and Sibohan, maybe you can re-mix "Twelfth Day" with Jon voicing the 3rd and 4th Doctor parts(?)
Had me up until "Troughton" says "mischievous". The actor in the clip mispronounces it as "mis CHEE-vious". There's no way an old pro like Troughton would make a slip up like that! Otherwise, really enjoyed it!
Evelyn Mackenzie Actually, he did develop a liking for them. He didn’t like doing interviews and such because he felt people would see him as Patrick Troughton and not the characters he played on screen. After doing just one in England (the Five Doctors 20th anniversary one at Longleat) he was convinced to go to the US, because they didn’t show much of his work out there aside from Doctor Who, so he only did US events. He did love them, but eventually he went to one where he died :( Sorry for lengthy explanation there but I had to research this haha
I was there from Episode 1, loved William Hartnell, was initially shocked when Patrick Troughton took over but after the also greats in Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker, I felt it had lost its way and never bothered after that. The rest were too far distant from where its roots were. But Patrick for me the #1, without question. And Sylvester McCoy??? Whomever enlisted him deserved whatever fate became them....
My goodness, Patrick Troughton does a fantastic impression of Christopher Thomson !! . I enjoyed this very much indeed !!
Absolutely love this - such accurate impressions and I love the idea of Parkinson being so nerdy he'd make most convention interviewers blush!

Patrick Troughton a acting genius.
Damn! Christopher Thomson's Patrick is so good.
Nice work guys. :)

Rhyan Bennett, I admit, at first I thought it was a real clip of Jon Pertwee.
Ikr it legit proves that the dude playing him for the big finish audios is miscast (imo) and Culshaw is a much better choice
@@quietdemon8138 Weird because Culshaw has been very complimentary of Treloar's performance.
A few minutes in I'd forgotten it wasn't actually them I was listening to. So very well made. Thank you.
This is just brilliant...what a great Dr Who Xmas prezzie. Thanks Chris and Jon. More please!

Brilliant as usual. You gentlemen are true artists. My hat is off to you. Thank you.
Beautiful, respectful, and performed to perfection.
This was lots of fun! Acted so well, in addition to the impersonations.
The Spirit of The Second Doctor lives within Christopher Thomson
AMazing -- Great stuff Chris - as always!

Then both you and Jon are improe gods! Can't wait to see what your projects at BF will be like.
@@ChrisWalkerThomson wowzers. Makes it more spontaneous, genuine and admirable doesn’t it.
I thought this was real, which is the ultimate compliment I suppose. Well done.
Halfway through listening to this I had to pinch myself because I'd forgotten it was impressionists.
Holy cow - I only realized this was fake once I'd finished. That Pertwee impression is flawless.
I have to keep remembering this isn't real, well done
"If it's, uh, from the real world... that would terrify kids forever"
Moffat- "Hold my beer"
I started doing other things while listening to this and forgot for a second that I wasn't listening to an actual interview!
Absolutely marvellous! More please... :)
This is brilliant! Very well done~
Excellent work, chaps.

gee you’re getting good at this Chris!!! that’s spot on!! you’ve improved a hell of a lot! 👏🏻👏🏻

Brilliant! Just like the real thing. A real what could have been moment.
Very surreal
Very well done and good fun.

I noticed that too. Troughton would never have made that mistake. Otherwise, a splendid job.
Troughton is bang on but Parkinson sounds nothing like him.
Shame he passed away. He seemed like a wonderful actor.
1985? If Pat hasn't filmed "The Two Doctors" yet, this would have been sometime in mid-1984.
They mention the 2 doctors, so they could be set after filming was done for all we know.
@@therestorationofdrwho1865 whoosh

Very realistic.
is Jon voicing Jon?
Jon is voicing Jon.
Brilliant :)
Where did this even come from? Was it written?
12:56 was some good quick shade
The Two Doctors was made in 1984.
Almost got dad, but not perfect! Enjoyed it nevertheless!
Culshaw?
Haha, very good.
Richard?
Richard Hurndall (replacement First Doctor)
He didn't like conventions, didn't know why, just didn't want to go.... hindsight he was going to die at one?
