      @@getreadytobeagenius7441 hazmat suits and gas masks do very little to stop dangerous forms of radiation. Also there is more than 1 type of radioactivity. There are types of hazmat suits better at reducing exposure to radiation, but they have diminishing effects.

    Radiation was used on me when I was 4, inserted in my abdominal area, it helped isolate my cancer. I no longer have cancer. 7 years in remission, I'm missing a love handle. xD

      First of all, medicine is controlled, it cannot directly harm you unless you do something illegal or unrecommended by the doctors.
      Whether the attitude resulted in harm should depend on 2 factors:
      1. The Patient will not get better (so most diseases are out of the question).
      2. Would otherwise survive a way longer time (so most cases of lethal cancer are out of the question).

      @@TheChoppergunner100 , what happened to those women is sad, but the owners ( or managers or whatever) didn't take any precautions themselves, so I don't think this quite matches. It's odd given the fact that they made it a rule for some workers to wear protective gear, yet they didn't take those same precautions themselves, and they actually ended up going the same way those poor women went. I don't feel bad for them though because they knew the dangers. The women however were lied to and told that everything was safe.

      Whats messed up is how they tried covering the death (Bribing doctors to lie about medical results, claiming it was STD's, burying the body etc) and even after they were guiltied, the company still tried to appeal the case.

    The "Family Shoe Store" in Port Angeles, WA has a working shoe x-ray machine. They don't use it, but historically, such machines were used to view how much room was left for growth in children's shoes. There were two ports.       already done, we get exposed to background radiation all the time, also alpha radiation is everywherem, in your computer, your tv, your phone, your car radio, everywhere, beta radiation would be the only thing missing, unless im missing something

    From what i know there are some safe types of radiatin materials, for example you can still find glass bowls and stuff with uranium or something, also they sell glowing keychains with Triton (Hydrogen Isotope)

      Americium 241 in smoke detectors is shielded, quite safe if not tampered with. Thorium in lantern mantles has been gone since the 60's but might have been found in some countries much later.

      Oh yeah it's really a thing just Google and TH-cam it up. One notorious one is Gilbert U-238 Atomic Energy Laboratory which is said to have live radioactive materials anyway really look into that.

    i spent 7 years on submarines during the 80s i a a nuclear tech just 1 time i got zapped by 10 time a x-ray .lucky it did not happen again we should use the type of reactors on subs to power city's

    Hey I live in Ottawa, Illinois lol there are still plots of land that remain vacant because they buried most of the materials in those spots. Along with dumping it into the river. A lot of people used to call it radium city
