@KhadijaAhmedworld it says cheri in the lyrics of the video, which could be a mistake given the song is over 700 years old. The thing is if we put "qaidi" in the line would be "I have sold my priceless prisoner" which also doesn't make sense.

Don't taunt me, I'm a drunken drunkard dancing in the market.

The only Qawwal brothers keeping the tradition of Khusro alive are these two. None other. Rahat is just a waste of human space. Much love and respect to these two and their khandani tradition!♥️♥️
@@fajarkhankhan6901 sorry i am a bit late. In essence this is sung by amir khusro in love of his teacher Nizamuddin Auliya. It's just like Bhakti of Krishna or Sufi of Allah. It's not devotion it's surrender to loved one. It says:- Call me anything, householder teenage girl( or mad or villager) but i dared to look into eyes of my beloved Nizam(Nizamuddin Auliya) and fell in love with her. Charming face and like attractive statute... really attractive statute.. I dared to put it in middle of my heart and kept it safe. Khusro is surrendering everytime to his Nizam(like he is king)...I whom myself considered so expensive and valued, thereby am sold and became worthless.(my value became nothing in front of Nizam). Hope it helps
Let the housewife say what she will, I stole the glance from the eyes of Nizam. His darling face and his charming from I have hidden in the depths of my heart. Let khusro perish at the feet of Nizam, I have just sold a priceless maid( Amir khusro himself ).

Farsi is a very complicated language. The Farsi poems usually have 2 meanings. There is the metaphoric translation and there is actual meaning. It is usually hard to translate or explain Farsi poems even for native Farsi speaker. Hope the translation above helped a bit.
@@khoojesta the persians are famous for their euphemism. here the underlying tones seem to be to not to judge the woman(in this case) for drinking(alcohol is forbidden in islam) and it is also forbidden for woman to dance. all sufis considered themselves to be the bride and god to be the groom. sufis also compared their love to the intoxication of wine(a heady feeling) and sufis sang in front of people in praise of their beloved(god)
